AUTHOR: Tomáš Herzina DEPARTMENT: Institute professional development in education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Otakar Mojžíš ABSTRACT: Aim: The aim of this dissertation was to find possibilities of downhill skiing of preschoool and younger school age children in the region of UL and Teplice. The suitability of skiing resorts for skiing children and their teaching skiing. The comparison of ski school in the region and their ways of teaching. The another aim was to prepare the model of ski training for children and its application in teaching skiing in children and verrification of its effectiveness. Methods: The research is based on the interview (semi-structured), observation (hidden, open, participating) and data collection from the literature and the internet. Obtained data from the literature and the internet served as basis used to create questiones for an interview with skischool instructors. Results: We found that ski resorts in the region could be recomended for children and for families with small kids and for teaching skiing . Development of materials used for downhill skis production

The submitted thesis is a retrieval type and is concerned with the technologies and materials used in the manufacture of downhill skis with a deeper focus on the last ten years. Examined are materials for the manufacture of ski cores as well as other parts of the ski, and that in terms of comparison of the construction materials and technologies. Listed are basic elements and characteristics of skis, methods of manufacture, materials for the manufacture of individual parts of the skis and, last but not least, the types of skis. The work is eked out with the analysis of several samples of skis, on which were made cuts, they were observed and structures were compared. The aim of this observation was to determine whether the materials found in the practical section corresponds to the information contained in the theoretical part.

Landing gears of ultralight airplanes and its loading

This bachelor thesis deals with engineering solution and loading of ultralight aircraft landing gear. At first requirements for landing gear are mentioned, then the basic arrangement and structural design of aircraft landing gear are explicated. Next part contains calculation procedure and sample calculation of P92 ECHO aircraft landing gear loading. The last part of the thesis deals with experimental verification of landing gear loading, that was calculated before.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out, how well do czech customer know the brand LUSTI, to analyse its current marketing strategy and to suggest possible improvements. In the theorethical part of this thesis, basic marketing terms are explained to facilitate understanding of the practical part of the thesis. The practical part consists of an analysis of the current marketing strategy, creating a SWOT analysis and evaluaiton of marketing research. The last chapter introduces possible suggestions and recommendations for improvement.

In the final part, there is a close look at the company's products, on import variants and finally there are recommendations for particular type of shipping overseas, as well as possibilities for increase of sales of their products on European market.

Selected Methods and Techniques of Ski Carving on a DVD

Almost 15 years are carving ski on the market. They differ from ordinary skis by great side carve. Regardless the public still ski with the normal techniques and skiers are not able to enjoy the new dimension of skiing which is carving. The aim of my Diploma Thesis is to make a DVD with selected methods and techniques o ski carving. Clarify the differences between the old-school-skiing and the new modern style. By use of simple exercises gain the first feelings of ride on the edges and step by step improve it until the full control of each type of carving like for example Fun carving or the ride reminding the racers in the giant slalom.

Elaboration of selected parts of technique and methodology of parallel turns in DVD format

The aim of this diploma thesis is to facilitate better knowledge both in a written form and by an instructional video record to those who have not become familiar with this popular winter sport with a long tradition yet. The thesis includes a brief history introduction and explains equipment and safety rules. It provides general ski exercises for beginners and thus prepares them for learning of basic ski skills. Games are included as a mean of better acquirements and enjoyment. They are followed by parallel turns which are primarily defined by technique and biomechanics perspectives. Most frequent mistakes and selected preparatory exercises together with turns are presented as well. The DVD is supposed to introduce a beginner skier into commonly practised and well-proven parallel turns.

Finding the downhill runing and turning techniques by public in the Czech republic\\

The thesis is foucused on finding downhill runing techniques and turning techniques of public in the Czech Republic. The work aims to determine what techniniques are used by public in the Czech mountains and how good their technique is. During the main ski season of the year 2006 the rating was provided in four biggest and well {--} known resort. A short hidden observational method was used for finding the results. Techniques were classifiing by present trends and aspects and the results were processing to the tables and graphes. This thesis should help to chart the techniques used by the public in the Czech ski resorts.

Tato práce se zabývá zkoumáním teoretických aspektů pořádání velkých sportovních akcí. Poté je provedena studie Světového poháru v běhu na lyžích každoročně konaném v Novém Městě na Moravě. Zejména je kladen důraz na organizační stránku celé akce. Závěrem a největším přínosem celé práce je pak pokus o projektový management, který by měl v budoucnu pomoci organizátorům při pořádání tohoto závodu.
