Transparent ceramic materials
Krupa, Filip ; Drdlík, Daniel (referee) ; Maca, Karel (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with processing of transparent cubic ZrO2 ceramic doped by 8 mol% Y2O3. Technology used in this Bachelor thesis are uniaxial pressing, cold isosatic pressing, SPS and hot isostatic pressing. Microstructure, real in-line transparency and hardness were evaluated for sintered transparent materials.
The analysis of the influence bourgeois bohemians on american society
Čech, Dominik ; Kýrová, Lucie (advisor) ; Pondělíček, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of social class, the so-called bourgeois bohemians on American society. The time scope of this work is mainly the turn of the twenty-first century and ends with the economic crisis of 2007. On the background of the transforamtion of modern societies into postmodern, which are characterized by heterogeneity and variability of life attitudes and in which individuality, its behaviour, a values are constantly less determined by class, American author indetified new "upper", class, which represents a new establishment. This thesis presents an introduction and definition of the so-called Bobos class and its categorisation within the context of American society, based mainly on socio-economic factors. This thesis also presents an analysis of the influence of this class on American society. I seek to answer three main question: In what way did can bobos formulated the form of American society? How much they are responsible for the yet more increasing inequality in American society? Are bobos truly "alternative capitalists"?
Processing and properties of transparent polycrystalline ceramic materials
Tásler, Jan ; Pouchlý, Václav (referee) ; Maca, Karel (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis is focused on the preparation and properties of transparent polycrystalline ceramic materials based on Al2O3. Theoretically, the most important technological aspects of the processing of these materials are presented. Detailed attention is given to transparent Al2O3 polycrystalline ceramics doped with rare earth elements. The influence of microstructural parameters on the optical properties (represented by RIT) is investigated on Al2O3 samples doped and codoped with dysprosium, terbium and chromium. A significant effect of the average grain size on the light transmittance of all samples is observed. The highest RIT = 55 % (measured by a laser beam with a wavelength of 632,8 nm) was achieved by an optimized preparation process for a sample doped with 0,05 at. % of dysprosium. For all samples photoluminescent properties are also analysed. The photoluminescent emission spectra correspond to the activation of doping elements. In case of the terbium and chromium codoped samples, the differences in the activation of individual dopants depending on different excitation wavelengths were demonstrated, resulting in different colour emissions for different excitation wavelengths.

Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of Total Hip Replacement
Papageorgiou, Chrystalla ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Kratochvílová, Pavla (referee)
The abstract of my study concerns the treatment of the case of my patient who had an operation of total hip replacement on the right hip joint, caused by post dysplastic arthrosis. My practice was performed at Fakultni Nemocnice Kralovske Vinohrady. Physiotherapy program started on Tuesday 29th of January 2013 and ended on Friday 1st of February 2013. My Bachelor Thesis is divided in two parts: 1) Theoretical part 2) Practical part. In the theoretical part I analyse everything concerning the hip joint, muscles, joints, bones, ligaments, nerves as well as the biomechanical and kinesiological point of view of the hip joint. In the practical part I analyse every procedure I have done with my patient, all the examinations, conclusions, therapies and results. The patient was operated at OTK FNKV hospital at 22nd of January. Goals of the therapy was to decrease pain and edema, increase range of motion of the movement, increase mobility and elasticity of skin and also improve strength of the operated right hip according to the examinations I provided to the practical part. After the five sessions improvements were detected in the final kinesiologic examination. Pain was decreased to 3/10 according to VAS scale, edema was reduced, range of motion (ROM) of the movements and muscle strength were also...
Biomechanical aspects of the reconstruction of the acetabulum
Slávik, Ondrej ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
The research part of bacelor’s thesis Biomechanical aspects of the reconstruction of the acetabulum is dealing with historical development and current methods of solving the issue of pathological hip joints in case when use of total endoprosthesis is not suitable, for example in children. Also the anatomical view, related to the given problem situation, is outlined and the most significant disorders of the hip joint, which are connected with these cases, are characterized. In the practical part of this work, there are results of the analysis model between pathological and physiological hips analyzed and qualitatively compared, followed by the solution of the concact forces in these two situations.
Contribution of Minimally Invasive Total Hip Replacement - MIS-AL, Health and Social Aspects of MIS-AL Approach
MUSIL, David
I want to present a prospective evaluation of one-year results in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty from a minimally invasive antero-lateral approach (THA MIS-AL). And I want also to compare, by means of biochemical markers, the operative invasiveness of standard total hip replacement with that of the minimally invasive anterolateral (MIS-AL) approach. At one year after surgery we evaluated the quality of life by 60 patients using SF-36 questionaire and we compared the results with standard anterolateral approach and regional standard.
Providing the patient´s privacy after total hip replacement operation
RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Michaela
Abstract In our company the emphasis in the field of nursing care has increasingly been focused on preservation of a patient`s dignity and intimacy. In daily activities in a pacient the privacy and intimacy the patient may be affected which causes different reactions of such a patient. One might say that even after the routine procedure such as total hip replacement it is very important that the patient has enough privacy. The aims of this study were to assess how the intimacy in the postoperative care is ensured in patients undergoing total hip replacement at the intensive care units and to find out the level of knowledge of the nurses as for adherence to intimacy after total hip replacement. The research group consisted of patients who were hospitalized at the intensive care and standard units in the Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. (PLC), Faculty Hospital Olomouc and Military Hospital Olomouc. The second research group consisted of the nurses who worked at the intensive care and standard units in the Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. (PLC), the Hospital Šumperk, a.s., Faculty Hospital Olomouc and Military Hospital Olomouc. The research investigation was performed by the method using two ananymous questionnaires. The first defined hypothesis was confirmed. The patients at the intensive care units are more satisfield as for their intimacy compared to the patients at the standard units. The second hypothesis was also confirmed. The nurses have not enough time to ensure intimacy of the patient after total hip replacement. The third hypothesis was confirmed. The nurses have enough information of how to take care of the intimacy in the postoperative period. The fourth hypothesis was not confirmed. The nurses at the intensive care unit do not care about the intimacy with a higher interest compared to the nurses at the standard unit. The findings of this investigation show that the patients after total hip replacement at the intensive care unit are more satisfield with the provision of intimacy in the postoperative care compared to patients at the standard unit. Although the nurses do not have enough equipment to ensure the intimacy of a patient in the postoperative care, they know how to take care of intimacy in the postoperative care.
