Load effect on baroreflex sensitivity
Kamenec, Jan ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
KAMENEC, J. Load effect on baroreflex sensitivity. Brno: Brno University of technology, Faculty of electrical engineering and communication, 2008. 52 p. Supervisor of bachelor’s thesis Ing. Jana Bardoňová, Ph.D. The aim of this baccalaureate thesis was study problems of the metering baroreflex and verify, whether the physical stress affects baroreflex sensitivity. The metering proceeded on the computer system Biopac, in which was projected the record of the metering. For the calculation was elected noninvasion spectral method. Measuring data by the computer system Biopac were processed by the help of the Matlab program that worked out found dependencies.
Spectral analysis of the EEG signal
Blatný, Michal ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Hrozek, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis deal about electroencefalography, measurement EEG signals and analysis measuermed signals. Project contains two basis practical parts. Firts part contain two PC’s programs that’s are used to fundamental analysis to frequence-domain and visual display of brain mapping created with Matlab. Second chapter of practical parts includes two PC’s programs created with LabView. First of them is the EEG biofeedback making use for advanced analyses and second program is used to detection segment of stacionarity.
Solution of complex problems using evolutionary algorithms
Belovič, Boris ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
Difficult problems are tasks which number of possible solutions increase exponentially or factorially. Application of common mathematical methods for finding proper solution in polynomial time is ineffective. Signal prediction is an example of diffucult problem. Signal is represented with a time serie and there is no explicit mathematical formula describing the signal. When genetic algorithms are applicated, they try to discover hidden patterns in time serie. These patterns can be used for prediction. Implication rules are used for discovery of these hidden patterns in time serie. Each rule is represented by one chromosome in population. Rules consist of two parts: conditional part and result part. Rules in population are compared with time serie and then the rules are evaluated according to their success in prediction. After the evaluation of rules, simulated evolution is started. Result of this evolution process is a group of rules which represent the most distinct patterns in time serie. These rules are then validated on validation set. Application is implemented in JAVA programming language.
Computer analysis of sport matches
Židlík, Pavel ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Atassi, Hicham (advisor)
This work deals with the possibility of a fast football match analysis from audio part of record with the possibility of implementation of some methods for other than football matches as well. The first intention was concentrated on detection of whiz of the soccer whistle that has specific frequency in its specter, which is out of common speech frequency. After detection harmonic frequency , the attention was focused on the definition of whiz meaning. Referee was helpful with the issue as he informed me about the number of whiz styles and provided me with referential samples for whiz classification. Neural network with back propagation was used for definition of whiz meaning. Another subject for detection of important moments of the match was concentration on the commentator’s basic tone. In case the commentator is really excited with the match, his basic speech tone automatically intensifies with every important action of the game. Analysis of commentator’s intensified basic speech tone was realized in this work too. Also the national hymns of teams playing against each other are a significant moment of the match. That is why detection of a hymn became another subject of analysis. Advantages of MFCC were used to obtain audio signal feature, from which 20 coefficients were gained. These were used as an entrance for classifier based on neural network with back propagation. For easy usage of these methods a graphic user interface with possibility of well-arranged look on gained results and also with possibility of replaying chosen section was created.
HP89410A User Interface
Neužil, Jan ; Caha, Luděk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to develop user interface in LabVIEW to make typical measurements with spectral analyzer HP89410A There is introduced the theory of operation of an analogue heterodyne and a digital FFT spectral analyzer. It is explained the background of the Fast Fourier Transform. There are discussed the key settings in measuring with FTT analyzer, like window function, bandwidth, number of frequency points, or the averaging. Further is described the program, which was developed for measuring frequency characteristic by white noise and by stepped measurement. It was also made a module for measuring Signal to Noise Ratio and module for Total Harmonic Distortion. In the last part of this thesis are shown the results of processed exemplar measurements.
The influence of computer games on aggressiveness
STANĚK, Jakub
This Bachelor Thesis deals with study of influence of computer games on aggression. The aim of this thesis is to find out whether computer games cause inclination to aggressive behaviour. The theoretical part is focused on scanning electrical brain activity. It contains description of electroencephalography, evoked potentials and brain waves. It also elaborates various psychological theories of aggression and connects them to relation with physiologist creation of aggressive behaviour. The empirical part is focused on a research project. It describes an experiment which examines reactions to positive, neutral and negative visual stimuli before and after playing computer games by spectral analysis. 42 people, chosen by quota selection, participated in the research. 29 probands got into the final analysis and outcomes. The data were processed by Matlab program and its toolbox EEGlab. The outcomes of spectral analysis and comparison of individual research groups show that violent computer games influence aggression.
ANALYSIS OF THE COMPANY USING TIME SERIES METHODS AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS
KÚNOVÁ, Lucie
The goal of my bachelor work was to analyze the company Profi - Service, Ltd., which I chose for it. I have divided the work into two parts. In the first part I focused on the analysis of time series development of the profit. Firstly described the behavior of this series and modeled it using different models. The first model I focused on is the small trend method. Then I created model with seasonality regression. In the end of this section I will make a spectral analysis. Based on these models, I tried to predict the future development of the profit. For the calculation of some values I used program Statistika. In the second part, I focused not only on the financial analysis of the company Profi - Service, Ltd., but for making comparison, I made financial analysis for the company Uniclean, Ltd. too. The resulting values of indicators were also compared with industry averages. I started with evaluative indicators, next I made the analysis of funds and finaly I made a pyramidal decomposition of indicator the return of equity.
Speech model quality comparison based on the spectrogram method
Přibil, Jiří
The spectrogram is a useful tool for quality comparison of the synthetic speech. In the contribution the advantages and disadvantages of this visual comparison method are discussed.
Application of thermoanemometry for investigation of the large water droplets in the vicinity of the LP stage of a full scale steam turbine
Mazur, Oton ; Uruba, Václav ; Šarboch, Jaroslav ; Řehák, Vratislav ; Jonáš, Pavel
The response of a CTA hot-wire anemometer on a water droplet impact is investigated. Characteristic shape of the CTA-output response signal after a jewater jet impact was ascertained. This knowledge was applied to an analysis of time records made in the vicinity of the LP stage of turbine. Statistical estimates of the occurrence and frquency of large droplets in the wet steam flow are presented.
On the spectral analysis of the wet steam flow in the vicinity of the LP stage of a full-scale steam turbine
Uruba, Václav ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Mazur, Oton ; Řehák, Vratislav
The unsteady steam velocity spectral characteristics were qualitatively evaluated for measurements brought upstream and downstream the LP stage. Using the conditional averaging technique the signal has been split up into periodical and random components. significant frequencies in velocity spectra have been detected.
