Vítová, Radka ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (referee)
Name of the diploma thesis: Comparison in Frequency of Shoulder and Spine Injuries between 1st National Volleyball Men's and Women's League Players Goal of the diploma thesis: Goal of this thesis is to determine frequency of shoulder and spine injuries within men's category of professional volleyball. Thesis also surveys types of prevention and regeneration that players use, how long they warm up and how they compensate strain before training (match) and after training (match). At the end thesis compares men's results with women's that are based on survey from this thesis and from bachelor work (Vítová, 2012). Method: Required data was obtained by questionnaire in field. Acquired data was processed on the basis of perused Czech and foreign literature that is focused on injuries and prevention in sport. Results: Overview of frequency of shoulder and spine injuries within men's and women's volleyball. Key words: volleyball, injuries, shoulder, spine, prevention
Impact evaluation of a anterior cruciate ligament rupture on postural stabilization by a method postural somatooscillography before and after reconstruction surgery
Traplová, Kristýna ; Rašev, Eugen (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Title: Impact evaluation of a anterior cruciate ligament rupture on postural stabilization by a method postural somatooscillography before and after the reconstruction surgery Objective: Compare measured postural stability values by postural somatooscillography which will be carried out before planned ACL reconstruction surgery rupture, early after the surgery and in a longer time period after rehabilitation. Methods: This thesis has been created as a pilot study using a descriptive and associative form. Research part focuses on measurements done on the Posturomed surface during postural provocation test. Platform movement has been recorded by accelerometer and transferred into Microswing diagnostic system and evaluated using the Postural somatooscillography Posturomed Commander application. Results: After reconstruction surgery is the ability of postural stabilization better than before surgery. Postural stabilization has been improving within the group of probands during all measurements. However, the ability of long-term stabilization is at very low level in comparison to healthy subjects. Postural stabilization of uninjured limb is better than stabilization of injured limb in all research stages. Key words: anterior cruciate ligament, injury, postural stabilization, Posturomed

CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAG Faculty of Physical Educational and Sport Department of Physiotherapy THE INFLUENCE OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM ON MUSCLE ACTIVITY OF LOWER LIMB MUSCLES IN RELATION TO THE RISK FACTORS OF HAMSTRING INJURY AT SOCCER PLAYERS Dissertation thesis Supervisor: Author: Doc. PaedDr. Dagmar Pavlů, CSc. Mgr. Iva Hnátová Consultant: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, PhD. November 2012 SUMMARY Titel: The influence of the training program on muscle activity of lower limb muscles in relation to the risk factors of hamstring injury at soccer players. Objective: Hamstring strain is a serious injury and requires long-term treatment. Hamstring strain has a high risk of recurence. As a result of this injury is long-term lost of competition and training. Prevention is necessary because of this. The mechanism and etiology of this type of injury is still uncertain and still under discussion. Multifactorial etiology is commonly discussed. In our opinion, the best solution is the training program, which is made on the basis of cooperation the physiotherapists and coaches. The goal of this training program should be primary prevention of injury or reintegration of injured athlete in the training program or the prevention of reccurenc of injury. As the result of this cooperation should be training program with all aspects of...

Author: Olga Šťastná Institution: Department of Rehabilitation Medicine the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové Title: Importance of the compensation practice at rugby players Supervisor: Mgr. Ondřej Němeček Pages: 96 Inserts: 4 The year of presentation: 2013 Keywords: Compensation practice, rugby, prevention, injury, physical imbalance The aim of the bachelor work is to evaluate the importance and the effect of compensation exercises on the musculoskeletal system of rugby players. The task is to select suitable compensation exercises and integrate them into the training program. The compensation exercises are designed to eliminate or improve defects of movement stereotypes and prevent injuries. The rugby players were chosen for this experiment according to their playing positions on the playing field. Each player worked to a personal exercise plan based on the results of the kinesiological analysis. After four months follow-up examination, collection of data and data processing were performed.
Prevention of the knee and ankle joint injury for basketball players from the perspective of physiotherapy
KRŠKOVÁ, Adéla
The topic of this work is about the prevention of knee and ankle injuries to basketball players from the perspective of physiotherapy. I have set two goals for this work, namely the setting up of a therapy to prevent injuries to the knee and ankle joint and then the detection of the effectiveness of this therapy. In connection with the goals, I have determined the research question: Whether the effect of the therapy will improve the monitored areas? In the theoretical part of my work, I dealt with the history and definition of basketball, detailed anatomy of the knee and ankle joint, their injuries and examination of both joints. I have written down general causes of the injuries among the athletes, and finally describing possible prevention. In the practical part of my work, I used the qualitative research, I checked if the respondents were injured in the knee or ankle joint area and I performed an initial kinesiological analysis and then I put together individual therapies. The research was conducted on basketball players from BK Tigers České Budějovice, born in 1999 2001. It was mainly focused on players with ankle or knee joint problems. During the therapy, all respondents continued their regular activities and participated in all sports activities together with the whole team. In the end I performed output kinesiological analysis and evaluated the changes that occurred during the therapy. Most players have increased muscle strength and range of movement, and, above all, improved stability in the area of both monitored joints. Based on the results, the research question was answered positively. It has been shown that the proposed therapy is suitable for improving the status of the segments being monitored and is therefore suitable for the prevention of their injuries. It would be good to continue therapy after the research. This bachelor's thesis could serve to both coaches and basketball players, to improve stability in the knee and ankle joints and thereby reduce the number of injuries.
Analýza traumatických stavů u sprinterů v atletice a jejich následná eliminace a prevence v rámci nezbytné regenerace organismu
DUBOVÁ, Aneta
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the common injuries of speed-oriented athletes following by evaluation and selection of the appropriate preventive measures serving for its minimization. The theoretical part focuses on the characterization of each speed disciplines, the analysis of the sprinters' traumatic condition, the methods of regeneration and last but not least the influence of sport performance by the regeneration. The data were gathered through the form of electronic questionnaires and were given to preselected group of athletes. The outcomes brought the overview of the most common injuries and its causes; and final recommendation for further elimination in the organism regeneration.
