Magnetic field analysis with finite element method and magnetic sensor
Volf, Tomáš ; Kurfűrst, Jiří (referee) ; Skalka, Miroslav (advisor)
The magnetic field analysis by MKP and magnetic probe project deals with magnetic field analysis of asynchronous machine cross section. This analysis is written in detail along with the necessary theory of asynchronous machine and the ANSYS program. The magnetic field of selected machine is measured by magnetic probe and results are compared with calculation. The next part of thesis is draft of device for the magnetic field analysis.
Fluxmeter with graphical display of B-H curve
Ježek, Jaroslav ; Mačák, Jaromír (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with simple fluxmeter which is able, together with other device, to show hysteresis loop. Hysteresis loop is a graphic expression of dependence of magnetic induction on intensity of magnetic field. Oscilloscope is used to display the hysteresis loop. This device is fully sufficient for the display. The measured objects are solenoids from various kinds of materials with the same shape. The main aim of this work is the design, realization and description of the fluxmeter. The fluxmeter consists of several partial blocks. The first one, on which this work is focused, is signal generator which is able to generace different kinds of signal. The generated signal comes on primary winding of solenoid where a magnetic field on a given intensity rises. An amplifier is used to obtain the sufficient intensity. Next thing this work is focused on is the design of the integrator which is necessary for the correct function of the fluxmeter. As suggested, there is shown the block diagram of linking of individual parts. There are described the measured results at the end of this work.
Electromagnetic interference and pacemakers
Kulík, Jindřich ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This thesis deals with electromagnetic compatibility of implantable electro-medical devices using in cardiology. The main aim of this thesis is detection of the resistance of implantable pacemakers (PM) and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD) to the electromagnetic interference. In the first part of this thesis, a function of the heart, which is necessary for understanding of PM and ICD operation, is described. The function and construction of PM and ICD is detailed in the theoretical part as well. The next part is focused on the electromagnetic compatibility. The next part is description of the measurement method and the experimental arrangement used for practical experiments with electromagnetic resistance of PM and ICD.
Equilibria of charged dust tori in a dipole magnetic field: hydrodynamic approach
Slaný, P. ; Kovář, J. ; Stuchlík, Z. ; Karas, Vladimír
The authors present Newtonian model of non-conductive charge perfect fluid tori orbiting in combined spherical gravitational and dipolar magnetic fields, focusing on stationary, axisymmetric toroidal structures.
On the Character of the Motion of Runaway Electrons in a Time Dependent Magnetic Field from 3D MHD Code JOREK
Papřok, Richard ; Krlín, Ladislav
In our paper we describe our new particle tracking code and we present results of our simulations of trajectories of runaway electrons in a time dependent magnetic feld computed by non-linear 3D MHD code JOREK for the case of pellet injection on Tore Supra tokamak. We show that the character of the resulting motion is not a simple difusion process but rather a sum of a stable motion on the same radius and phases of rapid changes of radial position.
Design and Preliminary Results of the COMPASS Power Supplies Filters
Havlíček, Josef ; Zajac, Jaromír
The COMPASS tokamak uses rectifying thyristor converters as Power Supplies for the major slow coils circuits. 24-pulse thyristor converter is used for Toroidal Field circuit and 12-pulse converters are used for Magnetizing, Equilibrium and Shaping Field circuits. A noise generated by the switching of the converters negatively influences diagnostics measuring the plasma. The article describes design phase and some preliminary results of the filters for the Power Supplies
Actuator with Ferromagnetic Plunger Working in Ferrofluidic Liquid
Ulrych, B. ; Doležel, Ivo ; Polcar, P.
An electromagnetic actuator with a plunger moving in a ferrofluidic liquid is suggested and modeled. The paper analyses its principal operation characteristics.
Reconnection of magnetic field and consequences in plasma astrophysics
POKORNÝ, Jan
The topic of presented bachelor thesis is the description of the effect called reconnection of magnetic field. The first part describes the theory of plasma and magnetic field generally. Second chapter shows plasma behavior in the magnetic fields. Then, the attention is paid to the effect of reconnection of magnetic field and its numerical modelling. Further the influence of this effect on processes in astrophysical plasmas is described, especially the mechanism of reconnection of magnetic field on Sun and in our Galaxy. The last part shows a theoretical research of the possibility of triggering of magnetic reconnection by MHD oscillations and plasma waves and the inverse process of reconnection of magnetic field as a process which generate the plasma waves.

The COMPASS tokamak is in a test operation after its reinstallation in Institute of Plasma Physics AS CR in Prague (IPP Prague) in the year 2008. This operation consists of commissioning of various diagnostics and tokamak auxiliary systems. This paper presents current status of magnetic diagnostics after its refurbishment, used method of the calibration and shows examples of magnetic diagnostics utilization for plasma position reconstruction as well as for vertical hydraulic preload interlock system.
Studium magnetických oblaků: rozšiřování a nespojitosti
Lynnyk, A. ; Vandas, Marek
Magnetic clouds observed during the 1995-2003 years are fitted using force-free cylindrical flux rope models. The cloud parameters yielded by a static model are compared with those obtained from a modified model that includes magnetic cloud expansion.
