Environmental risk assessment of ornamental aquaculture
Patoka, Jiří ; Kalous, Lukáš (advisor) ; Antonín, Antonín (referee)
The ornamental aquaculture comprises both outdoor and indoor keeping of aquatic animals and plants for ornamental purpose which is a very popular hobby with many followers worldwide. It is also commercially profitable for specialized producers and vendors. Associated environmental risks include particularly introduction of non-native species, biological invasions and intensive field capture of exploited and marketed species. Since subsequent regulation, mitigation and eradication of naturalised alien species is very difficult and ineffective in many cases, the most important above all is to prevent new introductions. This trend is accented with a short delay in European legislature. The European Union (EU) currently initiates formation of list of the most invasive alien species. Although invasive potential of certain ornamental species such as red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) is well known, the vast majority of traded species has never been tested and analysed from this point of view. Publications attached to this thesis are focused on monitoring and survey of market with ornamental animals, such as fishes and crayfishes, with special emphasis on list of advertised species, size classes, prices, origin and availability on market. With use of predictive models the probability of naturalisation and potential invasiveness of mentioned ornamental species were estimated. These information are supported by analysis of hobbyist behaviour. Results in present thesis highlight known environmental risks associated with ornamental aquaculture and also show detailed information about overlooked risks from the Czech Republic's as well as from EU perspective. Therefore this thesis should to help formation of aforementioned list of the undesirable species.

Socially Excluded Localities and Their Revitalization. Case Study: Ústecký Region.
Zoubková, Věra Thea ; Maier, Karel (advisor) ; Jakub, Jakub (referee)
The dissertation deals with the incidence and revitalization of socially excluded localities in a defined study area. The aim of this contribution is to identify and visualize the situation of the Ústecký Region in order to find common patterns of urban deprivation occurrence and to establish the guiding principles of revitalization policies in the Czech Republic. The research took place from September 2010 to June 2015. It combined qualitative and quantitative methods, in-situ and desk research. An analysis of primary and secondary data revealed 130 excluded localities in 42 towns and cities out of 354 in the region. The majority of deprived localities (87 %) can be found in highly urbanized areas. Two thirds of localities are small areas with up to 100 inhabitants. Socially excluded areas emerge in the centre, residential districts as well as on the outskirts of towns; however, three fifths of localities are not spatially segregated. Prefabricated housing estates are the largest and most populated deprived areas. Every other inhabitant of socially excluded localities in the Region lives in a prefabricated house. Brick houses are the most proliferated type of housing facility used as accommodation for socially excluded people. They can be found in every other deprived area. Vast majority of them was built before 1989. Family houses are deprived very scarcely; however, they belong to the most dilapidated part of socially excluded housing estate. Two thirds of localities have developed naturally, while the other third has been created by a regulated relocation of socially excluded people. Vast majority of deprived areas have existed for more than 5 years. Private property prevails. Half of the localities have entered the process of revitalization to improve the urban environment, human resources and security. Applied policies aim to keep the inhabitants in place and improve the quality of public space and service. However, involvement of residents in local regeneration policymaking is weak and ineffective. The renewal process depends on grants and subsidies. Europeanization is strong especially in big cities; nevertheless, most localities are small and therefore don't qualify for the sources of the built environment programs which prefer large areas of intervention. Results of revitalization process differ from one locality to another. Areas of housing and employment fall behind in particular. As far as property regeneration is concerned, the best owners are municipalities, house unit owners associations and housing associations. Not in one case, however, reaches the share of regenerated housing units 50 % of deprived properties. In any case, the market prices of local flats stay low compared with those of correspondingly equipped properties elsewhere in town.

Kubalíková, Alžběta ; Novotný, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Peltan, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis is focused on the assessment of health care in the Karlovy Vary region in terms of availability of hospital equipment. Healthcare in the Czech Republic is undergoing fundamental changes, which primarily related to the aging population, the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases and the related changes in the status of patients with pressure on public budgets. This leads to increased costs, which burdens the economy of hospitals, but also the entire health system. Health care providers and insurance companies must prepare for the increasing number of elderly and chronically ill population and the associated increasing health spending. Health expenditures are growing everywhere in the world and the main problem is mainly a lack of health care finance and skilled health workers. Investments in health and education and research among the most efficient yet. Indeed, only healthy people can work, create value and pay taxes. These problems have a long-term trend of continuous decline in the capacity of acute care. Healthcare fulfill a social function and stabilizing the company, but may also be the engine of the economy that is a major employer and purchaser of goods and services. Investigations in health care is possible, but only with negative effects on patients. Deficient management system can hardly continue. Professionals who deal with this issue, for several years calling for a detailed analysis of the availability of health services, and after a hierarchical structure of the state-controlled network of inpatient health care facilities. Without the political will and will not elaborate procedures to reform or to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in health care at any level.

Digital footprint on own computer and the Internet
Růžička, Jan ; Halbich, Čestmír (advisor) ; Pavlík, Jan (referee)
The objective of this bachelor's degree paper is to evidence the negative impact and potential losses associated with unmanaged personal information sharing on the internet and then to provide solutions as to how to mitigate potential threats. This paper first addresses the definition of the digital footprint and its impact before describing in the Second Chapter the potential risks that are connected with leaving an unmanaged digital footprint. In order to investigate the levels of willingness of internet users to share their personal and private information I utilized a Questionnaire to interpret their understanding of privacy, risks associated with loss of privacy, identity theft and the levels of protection they adopt whilst being online. The final part of this Paper describes various means of personal data protection and how to mitigate, manage and minimize one's own digital track.

Dog and Woody Plant
Macková, Eva ; Kunt, Miroslav (advisor) ; Buttry, Ivana (referee)
The thesis deals with the topic Dog and tree species as part of the history and present life in our society. The aim of this thesis is to determine how strong and equal place a dog and wood in the Czech Republic have and which interactions between them can occur. According to the fact that the care, attitude and responsibility are given by laws governed by the Czech Republic and individual towns and villages, the thesis is mapping the current situation in selected districts of the city of Prague 6 and Prague Suchdol, as part of the capital Prague. The thesis is divided into 3 parts. The first part is focused on describing the relationship of a dog and tree species in our country and nation which demonstrates their stable position without the need to compare. The second part is based on literature and available resources. It works with partial factors that may be relevant in possible interaction. It draws on the knowledge of modern cynology, especially the knowledge of the current activities of the dog and its ethology and on current knowledge in the field of dendrology, with emphasis on the selection of trees that are suitable for human settlements while they are in our territory as a native species. Within ethology the thesis describes the behavior of dogs along with the potential interaction with wood arising therefrom, including poisonous trees which the dog may come in contact with. The third part deals with specific situations associated with the free movement of dogs in Prague as a whole and focuses on some of its parts. Currently, this issue is very topical in Prague and no decision of the final form of the governing ordinance has not been made yet by the Prague City Council.

Effect of equine assisted therapy on the body posture
Burešová, Barbora ; Hofmanová, Barbora (advisor) ; Majzlík, Ivan (referee)
The work deals with the body posture and the way how it is influenced by equine assisted therapy. The first part deals with human motor activity and its development. Motor activity is divided into supporting and targeted. Supporting motor activity provides upright posture through reflex mechanisms. Targeted motor activity includes voluntary and involuntary movements. Voluntary movements are controlled by central nervous system at the instigation of our mind. If we perform specific movements regularly they can transform into stereotypes on the basis of kinetic learning. These movements and their control automate and are performed unconsciously which can lead to excessive muscle straining. Involuntary movements associated with food intake walking etc. are set by motor patterns. Motor patterns are motion responses of the central nervous system occurring in the same form in the sequence of generations. Simple reflexes and complex physical reactions. Motor development is given by these motor patterns and is bound to a healthy central nervous system. It begins with development of the body posture and targeted locomotion. The work describes the physiological development of human motor activity and its particular periods. Muscle activity is gradually coordinated. It ensures the centered position of the joints and correct curvature of the spine. Motor development continues with verticalization. The child uses balance coordination and muscle strength to develop unsupported walking. In the period of around two years when the central nervous system matures some reflexes and motor patterns fade away and the first motion stereotypes begin to arise. The second part deals with the posture that reflects and affects the overall condition of the body. It is a muscle holding of particular body parts against the force of gravity. Posture is part of every position and a precondition of movement. This work describes individual components of the musculoskeletal system with emphasis on the axial system and spine which are the basis from which each move unfolds. The skeleton forms the firm basis for the body protects organs and is the site of insertion of individual muscles. The paper describes the structure and properties of muscle tissue. And muscles whose function is essential for posture are mentioned. Posture and every movement is provided by balanced cooperation of muscles which are controlled from the central nervous system that is why part of this work describes the nervous system itself. The end of the second part focuses on poor body posture caused mainly by motion stereotypes acquired throughout life which leads to excessive muscle tension followed by pain and limitation of mobility. Many of these stereotypes were formed in childhood that is why they may appear to be perfectly normal often we do not even realize doing them and because of that we do not know how to change them. The next section outlines the principles of holistic medicine that body and mind are inseparable and one affects the other. The final part discusses the relationship between man and horse that reaches far into our history. It focuses on the use of horses to improve the health and overall quality of life of men. That is an area of which the interest is currently growing. The work deals with the effect of the horses to humans especially in physical and psychological areas. To understand the effect on the physical side the movement of the horse at a walk is described and also the rider's position and his movement which is caused by the movement of the horse's back. The thesis summarizes the findings of a direct effect of hippotherapy on the physical body and the effects on the psychological side of a man because these areas are closely interlinked.
