Delay differential equations
Kráčmar, Jiří ; Vodstrčil, Petr (referee) ; Opluštil, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of differential equations with delay, which, unlike ordinary differential equations, contain in the unknown function argument the function of the so-called delay. Therefore, these are capable of a more exact description of certain real systems we want to convert into mathematic models. Practically, these are those systems where time delays, necessary for the reaction of the system to the change of status, occur. The presence of this delay, however, also complicates solution of such equations and sets further differences in comparison with ordinary equations. The crucial differences are described in this thesis. Also the principle is shown for the use of delay-differential equations in population growth models.

Interaction of fluid flow with an dirfoil
Feistauer, M. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Sváček, P.
Numerical simulation of 2D oncompressible viscons fluid flow in interaktion with an vibrating dirfoil is described. The airfoil has two degrees of freedom, for rotation and translation. The Navier-Stokes and continuity equations are solved by finite element method associated with solution of ordinary differential equations describing the dirfoil motion. The computational domain is time dependent and the problem is solved by Arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) method.

Selective mutism
VENCLÍKOVÁ, Jana
The thesis deals with the elective mutism in a child of pre-school age. In the theoretical part describes the problems of mutism, i.e. elective definition, etiology and clinical presentation. Further possibilities of differential diagnosis and intersectoral cooperation in diagnosis and therapy of elective mutism. Part of the therapy are also options for reeducation in children. The empirical part of the Bachelor thesis is focused on the case study of a boy with diagnosed elective mutism. On the basis of the information collected, the methodology has been developed for access to a child with impaired communication skills, with emphasis on elective mutism. This methodology provides basic information about elective mutism, its detection, basic techniques of access to a child with the disorder and possible access to the parents of a child with elective mutism.

Adjoint Differential Equations
Kmenta, Karel ; Pindryč, Milan (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
This project deals with solving differential equations. The aim is find the correct algorithm transforming differential equations of higher order with time variable coefficients to equivalent systems of differential equations of first order. Subsequently verify its functionality for equations containing the involutioin goniometrical functions and finally implement this algorithm. The reason for this transformation is requirement to solve these differential equations by programme TKSL (Taylor Kunovský simulation language).

Metoda nejhoršíhoho scénáře: Modifikovaná hlavní konvergenční věta a její aplikace k řešení problému s obyčejnou diferenciální rovnicí s nejistým koeficientem
Harasim, Petr
We propose a theoretical framework for solving a class of worst scenario problems. The existence of the worst scenario is proved through the convergence of a sequence of approximate worst scenarios. The main convergence theorem modifies and corrects the relevant results already published in the literature. The theoretical framework is applied to a particular problem with an uncertain boundary value problem for a nonlinear ordinty differential equation with an uncertain coefficient.

Dvě rovnice popisjící kyvadlový tlumič
Fischer, Cyril ; Náprstek, Jiří
The pendulum damper modelled as a two degree of freedom strongly non-linear auto-parametric system is investigated using two approximate differential systems. Uni-directional harmonic external excitation at the suspension point is considered. Semi-trivial solutions and their stability are analyzed. The thorough analysis of the non-linear system using less simplification than it is used in the previous paper is performed. Both approaches are compared and conclusions are drawn.

Interakce proudění v kanále s pohybujícími se tělesy
Růžička, M. ; Feistauer, M. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Sváček, Petr
The subject of this paper is the numerical simulation of the interaction of two-dimensional incompressible viscous flow through a channel (wind tunnel) and a vibrating airfoil. A solid airfoil with two degrees of freedom, which can rotate around the elastic axis and oscillate in the vertical direction, is considered. The numerical simulation consists of the finite element soulution of the Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the system of ordinary differential equations describing the airfoil motion. We discuss the discretization of the problem and present some computational results.

Křivan, Vlastimil
The book surveys results of evolutionarily game theory and their applications in biology. It combines the static game theory with population dynamics.
