Stability and convergence of numerical computations

From Radioart to Musical Theatre
Jiřička, Lukáš ; KLÍMA, Miloslav (advisor) ; NOVOTNÝ, Pavel (referee)
This dissertation From Radioart to Musical Theatre aims at showing connections between seemingly different fields ? mainly sound-drama radioart, which in German is called Hörspiel, and musical theatre. In my dissertation, I try to define the characteristics as well as structural principles of text, space, sound, voice, acting, music and body in these transdisciplinary forms and genres, which have never retained any kind of purity in the traditional sense. In the analytical and introductory historical part of my dissertation, various seemingly different areas were introduced and discussed. These areas were musical or sound theatre in its general as well as specific form and its interrelation with sound installations, performance, radioart in form of Hörspiel, musical composition and sound art. In the following chapters, I used examples of several pivotal personalities from the German speaking area skilled in musical composition as well as directing and dramatics to present for instance the influence of musical structure on composition and other performing activities or the relationship of dramatic or literary model to its scenographic adaptation. The whole issue of relationships of disparate art forms is being showed on the examples of several artists ? directing composers who create these links thanks to their activity in various fields, as they intertwine musical and performing worlds on the level of structure, motifs and dramatics. The creators of such heterogeneous artworks using the strategy of the so-called negative dramatics are inherently split personalities - Heiner Goebbels, Helmut Oehring, Olga Neuwirth and Andreas Ammer. Goebbels as well as Oehring, Neuwirth and Ammer are able to make use of their experience with musical composition and/or work for the radio in the creation of musical performances in the way that they let particular composition techniques and staging be freely influenced by the knowledge of other media. Besides the above mentioned group of artists, I mention also other significant authors from the 20th and 21st century, who dealt with radioart, musical composition, collage and montage, performance and musical theatre - Bertolt Brecht, Dziga Vertov, Emil František Burian, Walter Ruttmann, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Dieter Schnebel, Georg Katzer, Friedrich Schenker, FM Einheit či Laurie Anderson and Georges Aperghis. Without the influence of the last fifty year-history of radioart, musical theatre would certainly not be such an important form of alternative theatre and performing art as such. Especially nowadays, when thanks to the emancipation and stressing of sound at the expense of acting a new stage language is being created within musical theatre, and the form itself transforms into yet little analysed field of the so-called postspectacular or mechanical theatre without actors.

Intraday trades
BOHINSKÝ, Petr
This thesis is focused on comparison of intraday and short term trades profitability using technical analyses by application the method of crossing moving averages between January 1st 2014 and August 1st 2016. Trading takes place on the basis of buying and selling signals of a generated technical indicator in the investment program Alapri and XTB. The traded indexes are DAX 30, S§P 100 and commodities gold and oil. The theoretical part of this work is devoted to the financial market, commodity market, describes intraday and positional trader and advantages as well as disadvantages of these markets. It also deals with technical analyses and explains basic investment terms. Practical part of the work is devoted to a description of the results modeled on real historical data. It is possible to determine on the base of back-tested results that the method of crossing moving average with the value of the instrument is better for short-term trades; in modeled example in daily graph than for intraday trades modeled in four-hour graph. Furthermore when modeling there was found that it is more profitable to buy instruments and let them be valorized by the financial market under given conditions. It means to buy them at the beginning of the investment period and sell at the end of this period without any buying and selling operations.

Portfolio diversification
ŠÍP, Martin
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to show how the choice of stocks impacts the portfolio diversification in relation to risk and return. The risk was calculated as standard deviation and historical return rate was considered. The theoretical part explains basic terms related with portfolio diversification, Markowitz model, capital stock and most important factors that lead to the optimal portfolio creation such as return, risk and covariance. The practical part explains in detail, how to create an optimal portfolio. Ten companies from different sectors were randomly chosen for this bachelor thesis. These companies' shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange. The covariance of these shares is lower than one. The next step was to calculate historical return rate and historical risk of portfolios. The highest value of historical return rate was 2.31 % and the lowest value of historical risk achieved 22.77 %. Subsequently, the efficient frontier was determined. The efficient frontier is the set of optimal portfolios that offers the highest expected return for a defined level of risk or the lowest risk for a given level of expected return. The lowest value of portfolio risk was 2.97 % with a return of 1.38 % and the highest value of portfolio risk was 4.03 % with a return of 2.13 %. The investor chooses the portfolio which maximizes his expected benefit.

Gates - Sound instalation as an intersection of intermedia paradigms
Rataj, Jakub ; BARTOŇ, Hanuš (advisor) ; TROJAN, Jan (referee)
This work treats about the permeation of three spheres (sound instalation, soundscape and physical computing) and their influence for creating a proper piece of art ? sound instalation The Gates. First I treat about the sound instalation from different points of view ? historical context, the work with time, sound and space, technical and visual elaboration. In the end of the first part I describe the concept of my own sound instalation The Gates. In the second part I treat about the concept of soundscape and its influence for selecting the sound material. The last part treats about physical computing as an instrument for the realization of the sound instalation The Gates and as an instrument for enlarging the possibilities of the intermedial synthesis in a more general point of view.

Crisis Recovery Management
Bureš, Stanislav ; Linhart, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with crisis management. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts from several authors. The custom thesis analyzes the effectiveness of the deployment of the Army in the region. I used the measurement methods of historical comparisons or desired state by the CPM (Critical path method) in a particular situation. After the analysis follows the recommendations on how to get more efficient deployment of armed forces for unexpected events and to accelerate the return to economic stability.

At these individuals were find out information about the height, diameter growth at breast height, age, stability, health condition and also the physiological age. The result of this thesis is a list of recorded trees with theirs scores of physiological attributes, then the offer, how to proper treat this trees and following sprout of trees to fill the alley. All these information are transferred into map file in software GIS. Further thesis contains information of this historical route and archival maps.

Migrations of historical populations. Isotopic signatures in human bones and their applikation in archaeological interpretations
POŘÁDKOVÁ, Kateřina
In the Bachelor thesis called "Migration of historical populations. Isotopic signatures in human bones and their application in archaeological interpretations.", one of the most used research method stable isotope analysis, especially strontium isotope signature from human bones and teeth, is summarized on the basis of a literature review. Isotope analysis allows archaeologists and anthropologists to investigate human migration and the geographical origin of human populations based on the biochemistry of human skeletal remains. Isotopic research cooperates with other disciplines, because favorable conclusions could not be made without their use. The Bachelor thesis deals mainly with the strontium isotope signature recorded in human bones which is from my point of view, a strong tool for understanding the human prehistoric and historical migrations.
