The effects of suburbanization processes on municipality - the case study of the city Klecany
Faberová, Jana ; Pělucha, Martin (advisor) ; Kadeřábková, Jaroslava (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the influence that suburbanization processes have on a historic city. Namely it is the city Klecany that the thesis focuses on in the Prague -- East region. Suburbanization can be observed in the Czech Republic since the second half of the 1990's, but its specific influence depends on a particular municipality. Therefore the goal of this thesis is to compare theoretical assumptions about suburbanization with its real consequences in Klecany, especially in the sphere of transport, economy, municipal budget, development, population structure, social and political environment etc. One part of the thesis focuses on measuring suburbanization in Klecany using the so-called classic formula and also an opinion survey was made among the former and the new inhabitants.

Hněvotín-Lutín Bypass - Location Study
Březina, Michal ; Matuszková, Radka (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis focuses on a bypass of villages Hněvotín and Lutín which is designed as a relaying of existing road II/507 and which is solved due to increasing traffic intensity. Road is designed as a category S7,5/80 and leads south around the village Hněvotín. Further it crosses existing road II/507 and then continues north around the village Lutín. Furthermore, this work also deals with connection to the existing roads with level crossings. Terrain in this area is slightly wavy and there are mainly agricultural grounds. Designed route crosses existing transport infrastructure and water courses.

The effect of intelligent transport systems to increase the safety of inhabitants of villages (Libkov, Rozvadov, Kašperské Hory)
Sedlák, František ; Kocmánková Menšíková, Lucie (advisor) ; Zewdie, Retta (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to determine how Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) affects road safety and thereby contributes to increase the safety and quality of life in selected villages (Libkov, Rozvadov, Kašperské Hory) of Pilsen region. The theoretical part contains basic concepts of regional development and policy with a focus on road traffic, quality of life and safety of the population, and also description of devices which can be used as means to calm traffic and improve the safety of the population. Empirical part was done by developing a secondary analysis of data on accidents in road traffic and the impact of ITS on the safety of residents in selected villages. Secondary data analysis of the ITS revealed, that the main causes of drivers accidents in the Czech Republic (from 2014) are considered to be bad driving (62.9%) and speeding (17.5%). Libkov, Rozvadov and Kašperské Hory belong to project "Peaceful Border Areas", which aims to reduce speed on municipal roads and thus increase the safety of population in the villages using installed SYDO Traffic Zeus speed indicators. Thanks to the evaluation of these ITS has been found that in selected villages vehicles slowed down on average by 38.6%, leading to increased road safety and improved quality of life in Libkov, Rozvadov and Kašperské Hory villages.

The assumptions of commercial services development in a chosen area regionalni svazek obci Vltava
CHROMÁ, Martina
The aim of this dissertation is to describe Regionální svazek obcí Vltava. With the close look at public services we are to make an analysis of the current situation and furthermore to outline the possible development in the above mentioned area of services. The Regionální svazek obcí Vltava (further only RSO Vltava) consists of 18 member townships. An important position among them is taken by the town of Cesky Krumlov. It is not only because of its size, but also because it is written on the World Cultural and Natural Heritage List {--} UNESCO. The level of unemployment at some places in the region is much higher than an average in the Region of the South Bohemia At some places in the area of RSO Vltava it depends on the distance from the towns of Cesky Krumlov or Ceske Budejovice and mainly on the accessibility of the area by the means of public transport. The location of the region for the tourism development is to its advantage. The majority of visitors come from the neighbouring countries which are Germany and Austria. The offer of the public services in the RSO Vltava is regarding to its utilization quite sufficient, although there is always a growing demand particularly for good quality accommodation. The most significant establishments in the RSO Vltava area are the private accommodation and guesthouses. However, restaurants and the businesses offering accommodation and refreshments are finding it difficult to maintain a steady income all year around when at the time of off-season their capacity is not fully used. The problem of the area is it is only attractive to the tourist in the summer season. The heads of the local communities are trying to encourage the tourists to visit their area even at the times of the winter season, which is classified as low or off-season. The main area of interest at the moment is to eliminate the seasonal demand which can be achieved by a better offer of sports and cultural event. They could be organized at any other time not only in the main season. There is also a great potential, which is seen by the local communities. It is the development of services and the tourist trade in the countryside, cyclotourism or hippoturism, the character of which is especially suitable for the families with children and even the older generation.

Elektronické mýtné - využití pro řízení dopravy v intravilánu
Složil, Jiří
This thesis is focused on the Electronic toll system as a regulatory action for traffic management. All sorts of transportation have detrimental effects on the environment and ultimately the public health. Therefore, the mail aim of the thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of electronic toll systems as a tool for traffic regulation within cities. To this end a comparison of available technologies by several criteria is presented and optimal solutions including the order of preference of specific technologies are suggested. Modern electronic toll systems enable variable setting of the toll amounts to reflect specific needs of particular towns and cities such as reduction of vehicle entry, noise or emissions as well as congestions of traffic and other issues. The text is accompanied by examples of possible traffic management by the means of an electronic toll system.

Statistical analysis and research on the links in the measured traffic data
Brabec, M. ; Konár, O. ; Kasanický, I. ; Pelikán, E. ; Přikryl, Jan
One of the current problems in transport research is the problem of availability of huge amounts of unused data measured telematics systems on motorways and urban roads. This data often contain information that - without the use of appropriate mathematical tools for data analysis - remain hidden and unused for traffic control. Within the project, a new method of traffic congestion in the urban areas, our aim is to propose new algorithms for adaptive control of urban transport networks. The current version of the algorithm is based on a linearized model of the development length of the queue of vehicles waiting at the red light, based on the classic balance of conservation. This model is for cases saturation supplemented alternative model queue length as a function of traffic occupancy detector. The aim of the work described in this report was to investigate possible links and other hidden states of the transport system, hidden in the measured data, and until now not considered by the traffic model used.

Road traffic and its environmental impact
Bubák, Ondřej ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Dizdarevič, Damir (referee)
The thesis aims to describe main relationships between road traffic and its environmental impact. It has to explain general concept, definition of basic negatives and disadvantages of the road traffic environmental influence and ways how to face up to them. One of fundamental components of the thesis is represented by an chapter about road traffic's external costs and possible approaches of their elimination. It pushes ahead the internalizing externalities. Analytic part of the thesis refers to one concrete traffic fabric situated in the centre of medium-sized city with a view to changes of environment characteristics of the whole territory and to changes of traffic situation in the city. The fabric is monitored in the course of all phases -- from first suggestions for the final commissioning.
