Employee's claims in the case of work accidents or occupational diseases

The topic of this thesis is employee's claims in the case of work accidents or occupational diseases, because the assessment and determination of damages is still an actual issue. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical introduction and definition of terms which are material for the whole thesis. The first part defines the liability in labour law, the liability of employee and employer, work accidents and occupational diseases and mainly the employer's liability for damages and non-material damage caused by work accidents or occupational diseases to employees. The next chapter focuses on insurance which is obligatory for all employers who employ at least one employee. This insurance is important in case of the employer becomes liable for damage or non-material damage caused by work accidents or occupational diseases. The insurance is important especially for small and medium-sized employers for whom the compensation could be liquidating and could lead to the termination of their activities. The most importatnt chapter of the thesis is the chapter concerning individual types of employee's claims for damages or non-material damage which arise from work accident or occupational disease, or claims of survivors of employee in case of employee's death, and their assessment. Safety and the risks of working in the construction and their evaluation

The aim of the thesis is to introduce the issue of occupational health and safety in the construction industry with a focus on work accidents. The techniques and methods used in searching and rating of hazard, basic legislation on occupational health and safety and work accidents are described in this thesis. Simultaneously the statistics of work injuries for 2015 are compared in four selected construction companies in the Czech Republic. Also the sources and causes of work accidents in surveyed construction companies are analyzed and then on the based this analysis I suggest preventive measures against the most common sources and causes.
Work safety in the construction industry with a focus on accidents at work

The aim of the thesis is to approach the issues of health and safety at work and work-related accidents in the construction industry. The theoretical part is devoted to the historical development of occupational health and safety in general, and consequently the development of inspection bodies operating in this area at present. Then there is also handled accident statistics for 2012. The practical part is a form of treatment for specific health and safety plan construction contract with a subsequent risk analysis.
Employer's liability for damage

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of employer's liability for damage in the area of Labour law. Its purpose is to describe this issue and to clarify the most important terms. First part of the thesis analyses characteristic features of liability in Labour law area, especially employer's liability. It also explains particular types of liability for damage. Statistics from 2010, connected with occupational diseases and work accidents are mentioned in this part too. Chapter five is practical part of this thesis. Specific legal cases prove the compensation for damage connected with work accidents.
Analysis of safety at work and accident rate at work in manipulation with agricultural products

My diploma work deals with issues of safety at work and accident rate at work in the field of the manipulation with agricultural products. A work accident is usually caused by a number of interrelated factors. Thus, the sources and causes of work accidents affect their frequency. Undoubtedly, the most essential element in health protection and work safety not only in our country, but in the whole of the European Union (EU), is prevention. The obligation of risk assessment seems to be one of the basic principles of the preventive approach to the maintenance of health protection and work safety standards implemented in EU countries. The objective of this paper is to carry out an analysis of factors which play a role in the occurrence of work accidents and, as a result of these analyses, to establish general rules and recommendations for the elimination of the occurrence of such accidents and to design recommendations aimed at practical application.
