The computational part and project includes a proposal sanitary and storm sewer, water supply system, pipeline and their connection to the current pipes.
Drinking water contamination in water supply system
Černíková, Eva ; Třasoňová, Pavla (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to consider the possible causes and consequences of contamination of drinking water in the water supply system. In the introduction are general information about the problems with water supply and some new approaches to water distribution system. In the next part there are described components of the water supply system and how they work. There are also described problems of drinking water contamination in water supply system. What are the mechanisms, what causes the turbidity and which microorganisms are the most common source of infections. In the final part there are described individual cases of drinking water contamination and what were the consequences. In the beginning there is a short form to every case which provides you a quick orientation in the problem.
Application of the prediction model on the control of selected reservoir system
Michalová, Lucie ; Marton, Daniel (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on verifying the success of prediction models mean monthly flows for strategy control storage function of water management system. The success of prediction models is tested during three different periods. To determine the predicted inflows into the reservoirs is applied to the generator artificial flow series LTMA using the Monte Carlo method and the classical model of neuron networks. During the solution is applying the principles of adaptive control. The adaptive control is compared with simple control for improved outflow.
Sanitary installations and gas pipeline in the building for living
Zálešák, Adam ; Vrána, Jakub (referee) ; Vaščáková, Alena (advisor)
This Bachelor´s thesis deals with design sanitation installation and gaspipeline in object for housing. It is a object for housing with three floors and basement. The theoretical part is focused on the rainwater and rainwater managment. The computational part and project includes a proposal sanitary and storm sewer, water supply system, gaspipeline and their connection to the current pipes.
Technical Audit and Risk Assessment of Water Tanks
Tanistrová, Lucie ; Komínek, Jiří (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis is primarily focused on risk analysis and risk assessment of drinking water supply systems. In the research, the issues of risk analysis and risk assessment considering world and Czech Republic, were summarized. Software WaterRisk, which was developed by BUT Brno, was used for risk assessment of a particular water supply system in Třebom. Next, the thesis is aimed on technical audit of water tanks. There was a research of technical audit in the world and in the Czech Republic. Also assessment of technical audit of a particular water tank, which had to be anonymized, using software TEAwater is described in detail. Two conditions were considered: before and after reconstruction.
Water Quality Monitoring in the Selected Water Supply System
Janišová, Marie ; Biela, Renata (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to assess the quality of the water in the water supply system and the influence of the distribution system on the quality of the transported water. The first part of thesis defines the theoretical basis on which it is based on practical part. The next part contains information about the area, the distribution systém and water analyzes. This is followed by its own series of water analyzes and the analysis of the resulting values of water quality indicators. The last part of the thesis evaluates the influence of the network on the water properties and has been designed measures to eliminate the adverse effects of the water supply.
Water supply without a residual disinfectant
Rajnochová, Markéta ; Pikal, Martin (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the water distribution system functioning without chlorine-based disinfectant. This thesis contains research of documented cases of examples of drinking water distribution systems both abroad and in the Czech Republic, which do not use disinfectants. Moreover, the thesis pay attention to chlorine and its effects on bacteria. The thesis deals with the first assessment of water supply structure, which determines whether the water supply structure is suitable for operating without disinfectant. The thesis describes the process of transition to the disinfectant-free operation and determines the undesired events, which may occur with the ending of the use of disinfectant. As a part of the research, the thesis examines the water supply system in village Kateřinice, to determine if it is suitable for operation without disinfectant.
Automation Solution of Storage Function of Water Management System
Menšík, Pavel ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
The impact of climate changes on various sectors of human activity and preparation of mitigation and adaptation measures are becoming an important subject of global policy, thus also the policy of the Czech Republic. According to the research results, the impact of climate changes on minimum discharges is very significant and indicates a threat to storage function of water sources, without adequate accumulation for period of drought. One of the ways of preventing or completely avoiding the appearance of these problems is the construction of new reservoirs or the re-evaluation of the size of the storage and protective capacity of existing reservoirs. In relation to climate changes and their impact on the water yield there is a growing need for the participation of operative control progressive methods of reservoir storage function today. The dissertation thesis is aimed at storage function of water management system. Aim of the dissertation work is to create program with graphical user interface, which allows solving the storage function of water management system. Program allows automatically set up optimization and simulation model of any water supply system and solve of optimal control and optimal development of the water supply system. The program was verified on the selected water supply subsystem.
Plumbing Systems with Low Water and Energy Consumption
Nikrmajer, Vojtěch ; Vrána, Jakub (referee) ; Bárta, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with energy-saving plumbing systems. It is divided into three parts: task analysis, applications theme on the building and experiment. In the first part are described the possibilities of saving water and energy in the plumbing systems. The second part contains a comparison of some variants of saving solution water supply system and sanitary drainage system at the hotel. Part of the experiment investigates the water consumption for washing hands in addiction: the pressure in the water supply system and the type of mixing valves.
Evaluation of water losses in the Brno city
Poláchová, Monika ; Viščor, Pavel (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with different approaches of water supply operators to the topic of water losses including water loss reporting both in the Czech Republic and abroad. It is focused on the Infrastructure Leakage Index (ILI) and within the proposed Methodology of ILI evaluation according to minimum night flows, the thesis tries to apply such an evaluation of water losses for three hydraulically separate pressure zones of water supply in the city of Brno and two water distribution systems in small villages. At the end, recommendations for individual operators of the water supply systems in the analyzed areas are described, leading to the extension of the possibilities of monitoring and reporting of water losses in the network.
