Leadership and its impact on employees' approach towards learning

The attention toward organizational learning has increased in last twenty years according to present studies and researches. Organizations have to cope with rapidly changing world and they have to find ways how to succeed in it. This study endeavors to find answers whether and how learning can be supported and accepted in the working environment and what can be improved to do so. Leaders are put into the centre of the interest due to their close effect on their followers. The subject of the study is a Czech located branch of a Dutch bank. The participants of the study come from one of the department. The investigation took place in a form of structured interviews. The results showed that leaders' behavior that was oriented toward learning could significantly influence learning of the subordinates. It was also found that transformational leadership style was applied more often than other styles of leadership by the leaders. Learning was perceived very positively by all the respondents. This entity may be formed by a different number of kindergartens. Function headmistress brings a large amount of the duties, responsibilities and necessary skills knowledge management. Their list highlights the difficult and hard work director. The director of the kindergarten in its sole discretion and to the extent that it determines legislation specifies certain ways of working procedures, organization and decisions so that kindergarten filled its function. This thesis deals with the differences in the management of kindergartens with different number of centers in the Region. The aim is to identify, analyze and evaluate the differences in the management of kindergartens with different number of workplaces, time management, preservation of identity and autonomy kindergartens. Manager´s personality development and lifelong learning in knowledge economics

The aim of this thesis is to analyze approaches to personality development of manager in the context of lifelong learning in knowledge economy trends, including specific proposals for desired direction of current practice. The research was focused on both influences acting on personality of the manager, as well as to his own views and preferences. An important factor was the focusing of the questions that have been used for research in previous thesis and enable us to compare responses within two years. The conclusion, therefore, may indicate the likely future development of issues. The research involved 160 managers. They were divided into four sectors - public administration, financial services organizations, tourism organizations and manufacturing organizations. The first method of data collection used a quantitative method - interviews by questionnaires. Data were evaluated separately for each category and made into tables and graphs. It was followed by partial results and discussions on particular issues. As the second, qualitative data collection method was chosen semi-structured interview based on a questionnaire. During a semi-structured interview questioner put emphasis on reasoned personal satisfaction or dissatisfaction in the organization, particularly interesting opinions, suggestions and improve their own knowledge.
Manager´s personality development and human resources management

The aim of this thesis is to explore new approaches and perspectivities on manager´s personality development and manager´s personality in contemporary human resources management. In the theoretical part of this thesis were summarized issues of human resources management, knowledge management, manager´s personality and its development. The selected research methodology was a questionnaire survey. The research was focused on the forces that determine the manager´s personality and his own opinions and preferences. The questionnaire was filled in by a total of 73 respondents. In consideration came the division into four categories depending on where company executives are found. These categories were public administration, financial services companies, transport and accommodation services companies and manufacturing enterprises. The data were evaluated separately for each category and made into tables and graphs which were followed by partial results and discussions on individual issues. Based on the results we can say that we are moving to a situation where the leadership positions will discover a balanced representation of men and women relating to higher education and good language skills. Most managers feel the need for further education and they are actively working on it. The most prefered form of learning is learning through education courses, learning from the other managers and from their own experiences. It is clear that managers prefer to work in teams, consultative and team style of management, self-realization, adequate earnings and friendly relations in the workplace. As prerequisite for successful management is considered organizational and communication skills, ability to motivate people and take responsibility for their decisions. Most executives have the oportunity to come up with creative ideas and more than half of them enforce it into practice. After a summary of the informations gathered, it becomes clear tendency of manager not to be afraid of new approaches in education and personality development, which is on a very good level. Today´s managers are aware of the imporatnce of education for the knowledge society, and they are trying actively to develope it. In the future we can expect more sophisticated styles of management and upward trend in the implementation of new personnel management in all the monitored sectors.
Human Resource Management in Public Administration

This study based upon the research of human resource management in public administration is aiming to summarize the situation in this department. The subject of research was one public administration authority and two local government authorities. The primary research method was a survey that was filled out by 106 interviewees. The data were analyzed separately for each of the authorities in order to map the situation in the sector of human resource management in public administration. According to the results of the survey, we can say that most of the clerks are content with their emplacement and salary. Communication with public adn stressing situtations however proved to be one ot the more unpleasant aspects. Furthermore ther is some insufficiency of awareness and education with all employees. The chief employees should be advised to pay more attention to the matters of better education and motivation of ther subordinates.
