The Quality of Income Based Business Valuations

The goal of this thesis is to evaluate quality of the income based business valuations prepared by Czech valuation experts. Selected topics of standard of value, financial plan quality, and discount rate are examined on the sample of 110 valuations mostly dated in 2015. The main emphasis is put on the methodology and approach used by Czech valuation experts and their comparison to the best practice of business valuations. The opinion regarding quality of business valuations is based on the fulfilment of a specific set of criteria. At some parts results are compared to the first master thesis on similar topic from 2011. In the conclusion, recommendations how to improve the quality of business valuation in the future are presented.

Valuation of the company in an international context

The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the market value of the company Svijany, a.s. as of 31. 12. 2014 using the discounted cash flow methods FCFF and FCFE. The purpose of valuation is for company owners. The thesis is divided into two main chapters. A theoretical chapter defines the concepts, reasons for valuation and the main processes and principles of valuation. A practical chapter applies the methods specified in theoretical part. The practical part contains strategic and financial analysis necessary to determine the future value of the company. As a next, the results of previous analyses are applied to identify value drivers and create financial plan. Finally, based on previous calculations it is possible to focus on valuation of the company using the discounted cash flow methods. In the end the individual methods of valuation are compared.

Valuation of the company Jihoměstská sociální a.s.

The goal of this master´s thesis is to perform an evaluation of the company Jihoměstská sociální a.s. on the date of evaluation of December 31st, 2015, for the purpose of a possible sale to a private company. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part describes process and methods, which are applied in the practical part. The practical part contains an analysis of previous company´s results and forecast of the future by 2020. Next comes the valuation of Jihoměstská sociální. The conclusion discusses possibilities of sale.

Company valuation as a whole

The main aim of this diploma thesis was to develop theoretical knowledge of business valuation and on that basis determine the value of the equity of the chosen company. After having considered all the facts valuation using DCF method equity was selected. A company operating in the textile industry has been chosen for this valuation. The secondary objectives of the study were to characterize the various valuation methods and procedures for valuation and their application for a specific company, ie. processing of the company characteristics, strategic and financial analysis, a financial plan and the resulting valuation. Finally, in the end of the work there is determined the value of the company to 31.12. 2014. During the valuation of the company it was necessary to take into account the fact that the valuation methods are based on the substantial limitations. Having taken into account their eventual elimination, however, leads to determining the value of the company as a whole.

The diploma thesis is focused on determining the value of the company PROSEC Ltd. The results of partial analyzes and estimate the financial value will serve the needs of senior management. The company has been operating successfully for several years and its main activity is the sale of security and electrical equipment. The first part is devoted to the theoretical knowledge and on the basis of literature are described concepts, definitions, methods and practices of individual analyzes and determining the value and are used in the practical part. The practical part is a strategic and financial analysis. The value of the company is quantified using selected methods.

The aim of this thesis is to determine the market value of the company CARLA spol. s.r.o. to April 30, 2014 for external investor. The theoretical part details the metodologie for valuation the company. In practical part is presented the company, then is performed strategic and financial analysis. An important part of the evaluation process is a analysis of the value generators on the basis of which the financial plan is built. An essential assumption for evaluation is determining a discount rate. As a valuation method was chosen the yield method of discounted free cash flow to the firm.
