Motivation as a tool of performance management

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of employee motivation as a performance management tool. The work consists of theoretical and analytical part. The aim of this work is to elaborate knowledge of literary sources and analyse an actual motivation process in a selected company and subsequent processing of proposals for changes to achieve higher employee performance and thus the entire organization. The aim of the theoretical part is processing of theoretical approaches to solve motivation process with developing the performance of employees and organizations. The first part includes findings from selected literary sources and comparison of authors of scientific publications to deal with this issue. The analytical part first characterizes the company Typos, printing plants Ltd. and evaluates a motivational program of the organization. The important part is processing a questionnaire, which will be used to obtain necessary information which will be further analysed. The final results will be evaluated from preceding processed results and changes which could be beneficial to increase motivation and employees work performance will be subsequently recommended.

The thesis Motivation as a tool for performance management describes motivation of employees in company Strojmetal Aluminium Forging. It furhter analyzes human resources management in the Company and its impact on performance of its employees. The aim of the study is to evaluate current motivation process within the Company and to propose new tools for improvement of performance management of its employees. The target group of this study are technical and economical employees of the Company. The theoretical part of the study defines basic terms such as motivation, performance of employees, and tools for performance management, reflecting a variety of modern approaches within this area. The practical part of the study focuses on current performance management of the Company and uses theoretical assumptions to evaluate the current performance management and to predict development of the performance management in a timeline of two years. The underlying data for the study were gathered from internal sources and from controlled interview with the head of the pesonnel department of the Company. Subsequently, using a questionnaire survey, performance of employees and tools for performance management of the Company were assessed and evaluated. The research was conducted at the end of year 2015. Based on the evaluation of the results of the study, their comparison with the benchmarks and with the predicted motivational factors in a timeline of two years, recommendations for achieving greater effectiveness of the current motivation process and its sustainability were suggested.

The thesis Motivation as a tool for performance management deals with the basic concepts associated with the characteristics of motivation and motivation theories. A good authorities manager have to be able motivate subordinace colleagues to create their willingness and interest to match corporate goals and mision of the organisation. This topis observe the theory of motivation that investigate the motives leading to a particular decision or activity. Theory of motivation is divided into three groups - instrumentality theory, theory focused on content and theory focused on process. The theoretical part is focused on the analysis of literature and expert sources dealing with human resource management, process management, employee performance, performance of organization, theory of motivation and effectiveness of motivational factors. Theoretical part of the thesis is related to empirical part, which is the Clayton Alderfer methodological procedure of motivation in company Česká spořitelna, a.s. The suggestions and recommendations for the future progress of the company are in conclusion of the diploma thesis.

This thesis addresses the issue of motivation as a tool for performance management employees at Foxconn Technology Ltd. in Kutna Hora. The work is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part deals generally with the management of human resources, management, performance and motivation. The practical part is focused on research in the above-named company, which was conducted by questionnaire. The aim of the research was to propose changes in the structure of the incentive program organization, so that effectively the performance of employees. The respondents' answers were statistically processed, made their overall assessments and conclusions were incorporated into the design changes in the form of recommendations for changes in the structure of the incentive program organization. The results allow to recommend changes in working conditions, style of management supervisor, remuneration, social benefits and development of workplace and personal growth of employees.
The effects of management/leadership styles on employee’s performance

The thesis aimed to examine the changes of the employee's performance in relation with the management styles on a selected company. The thesis includes a chapter about company organizational structures, it also focuses on the characteristics of management and leadership styles. The other part is dedicated to the work performance and factors affecting it. Questionnaires are used for the survey data collection and it is a part of the practical part. It is also necessary to identify the management style in the company. The necessary data for analysis are obtained by questionnaires and then they are used for evaluating the situation in the company and for making recommendations for improvement. The conclusion summarizes the results of the research, recommendations for improving the situation and recommendations for the future research.
Effective ways how to make work efficiency in the banking sector better

The graduation thesis deals with employee working efficiency in the banking sector. In the first, empiric part, it focuses on motivation, the main instrument how to increase work efficiency. The other point of interest is manager that has the strongest influence on employees and organization making with its culture the right atmosphere for work of manager and employees. The second part is based on research in the field of increasing work efficiency, especially motivation of different bank institutions. Finally, it offers sugesstions how to enhance work efficiency in the banking sector.
