The Conversion Efficiency of Different Kinds of Energy into Electrical Energy and the Possibility of its Accumulation
Ostruška, Jan ; Bartošík, Tomáš (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issues of the conversion efficiency of different kinds of energy into electric energy. Firstly, the thesis presents a brief introduction into types of energy sources and their capacity. Then, conversion efficiency of particular direct and indirect conversion is scrutinized, pointing to factors which affect conversion efficiency. The next chapter deals with the possibilities of accumulating electric energy. These are analysed as far as conversion efficiency is concerned as well and the end of the chapter concludes with comparison of these particular possibilities. Booth parts of the process – power generation and its accumulation – are connected in comprehensive scheme of energy conversions. The thesis develops on this scheme by mathematic description of its components and by designing a simulation programme, which would show the flow of energy in the scheme.

Objective baccalaureate work is count for engaged four - cylindrical petrol motor geometric, thermodynamic and operation parameters and subsequently rated funds make up real motor and strike a balance. Perform calculation thermodynamic cycle simulation power cycle and draw p- c diagram, assesment basic size piston and piston pin, assesment inertial force applied on piston group, calculation specific pressure and tension at piston pin, assesment basic proportions connecting rod, calculation tension in connecting-rod eye in consequence heating - up bronze chuck, assesment maximum tension in connecting-rod eye in consequence inertial force and from pressures gas and determine safety against yield strength and endurance strenght. In introduction work is schematic working principle gas engine motor and schmatic most frequent principle raising achievement. At the close are capitalized computing result.
Crank mechanism of in-line three-cylinder diesel engine
Cetkovský, Martin ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Objective bachelor’s thesis, which will be achived is, for scheduled elementary geometric, thermodynamic and operation parameters cylindrical unit of in-line three-cylinder diesel engine, perform calculation of thermodynamic cycle, design elementary dimensions of piston group and for schedule operation modes perform strength check of connecting-rod eye. Consequently rating value compare with value of real true diesel engine. In introduction is explained basic principle of diesel engine and their design concept. The bachelor’s thesis is consisted of description of calculation and supplement, where the calculation is done. The calculation is accomplished in three parts. Thermodynamic cycle is solved in the first part. Forces acting on piston group are solved in the second part and strength calculation and check of connecting-rod eye is solved in the third part. The end is focused on evaluation of calculation and recent solution of diesel engine.
Combi-cycle power plant
Tkachuk, Andriy ; Borbély, Richard (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyzes the combi-cycle, the advantage of which is easy separation of CO2 for its storage and further usage. The first part shortly presents the currently used cycles and introduces the Graz cycle. It also lists its advantages and disadvantages. The second part focuses on the description of the calculation of thermal efficiency of the cycle and the calculation itself. The calculation is attached in a separate .XLS file. At the end of the thesis, the result of the calculation is interpreted and the conditions under which the project would be realized are outlined.
Combi-cycle power plant
Tkachuk, Andriy ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis follows the bachelor thesis with the same name. It is looks into the analyses of the combi-cycle, the advantage of which is high efficiency and easy separation of CO2 for its storage and further usage. It introduces the Graz cycle, its thermal balance a basic arrangement. The calculation is attached in a separate .XLS file. At the end of the thesis, the result of the calculation is interpreted and the conditions under which the project would be realized are outlined.
Crank mechanism of in-line four-cylinder spark ignition engine
Marek, Petr ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Objective of this bachelor’s thesis is for given geometric, thermodynamic and operation parameters cylindrical unit of in-line four-cylinder spark ignition engine perform calculation of thermodynamic cycle, project basic proportion of piston group and for given operation modes perform strength check of connecting-rod eye. In the introduction is described ordinary use of spark ignition engines, several details of history of their evolution and present most widly used construction. Major text of bachelor’s thesis attend to four main chapters: description of thermodynamic cycle, calculation of forces reacting to piston, strength calculation and check of piston pin and of connecting-rod eye. Supplement consists of accomplishment of these calculations and a few of graphs. In the conclusion is evaluation of performed calculations and there are mentioned technological directions of present evolution of gas-engine.
Piston group of in-line four-cylinder gasoline engine
Král, Stanislav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of the thesis, it is strength control group of ordinary four-cylinder piston gasoline engine. In the first part of the specified thermodynamic, geometric and operational parameters of the motor piston group will calculate the thermodynamic cycle. Furthermore, we see the effects of force acting on the piston group in the most strained moments of the cycle. For the reconstructed load piston group perform voltage control in piston pin and strength control rods of the eye. In conclusion, we compare the calculated values of permissible stress values and find a design safety factor for the part.
Study of Stirling cycle
Pospíšil, Jaromír ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of my thesis is to introduce the Stirling cycle as a thermodynamic cycle and introduce theoretical analysis due to Gustav Schmidt. First part concentrates on principle of Stirling cycle and on the differences between the ideal and real cycle. Next part introduces step by step a derivation of theoretical analysis of the operation of Stirling engines due to Gustav Schmidt Last part graphically investigates the dependence of principal design parameters of Schmidt analysis on power parameter of Stirling engine.
Thermodynamics turboprop engines
Halama, Tadeáš ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This research deals with issues of turboprop engines from the perspective of thermodynamics. In introduction, the reader is familiar with history of aircrafts engines. Furthermore, this work presents a comparison of piston and turboprop engines. In this section also describes the working principle of these engines and their main characteristics and advantages. The main third part focused on the thermodynamics of the turboprop engine, mainly in terms of the algorithm for calculation. This work is also included deduce formula for tensile strength of turboprop engine. The last part describes current trends in the design and construction of aircraft propulsion units, together with the advantages of turboprop engine.
Thermodynamic cycles used in power engineering
Suchomel, Josef ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
Power engineering is one of the most important parts of industry. Among other things, it deals with production of electricity, without which many of us can no longer even imagine life. All energy devices can be described on the basis of different thermodynamic cycles. And with these thermodynamic cycles this thesis deals. It lists both, the most important cycles, such as Rankin Clausius cycle, which is the basic cycle of most of the power plants, as well as less known, resp. almost new thermodynamic cycles. The emphasis of the whole work is also focused on the advantages and limitations of the stated cycles and on their application in practise, too.
