The average precision of carbohydrate intake during the whole training camp was 99,54 % (488 g), there was a slight excess in case of fat - 100,93 % (92 g), and finály the precision of protein was 97,51 % (119 g) for the whole week. Conclusions: The suggested diet corresponds with the needs of an organism for...
Ballroom dance as a leisure activity
Ježková, Martina ; Dvořáčková, Hana (advisor) ; Leontovyčová, Jana (referee)
Annotation: This thesis aims to reveal to the general public, what dance is in the eyes of professional dancers, and to recommend ballroom dancing as one of the very good ways to meaningfully use their free time. The aim is to find out how pupils and students under 20 years of age spend their free time and how they perceive dance as a leisure activity. This work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, I explain the concept of free time and the importance of meaningful use of it. Further, I detail the history of dance, which shows why people started to dance and what it yields to them. The theoretical part also includes information about the dance sport, institutions providing dance training, sports nutrition, and also the fact that dance can help and heal. The empirical part is devoted to questionnaires measuring how much of their free time children spend on dance activities, and guided interviews with professional dancers who let us peek into their dance world. These dancers will answer the questions: why dancing became their way of life, what positives and negatives it brings, what is so beautiful and liberating about the dance, and also why a place called Blackpool is often mentioned in the dance environment.

Schovalová, Tereza ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Větrovská, Renata (referee)
1 Abstract This diploma thesis is aimed to find out and compare nutrition indicators of young swimmers and triathletes. This thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical one. Main nutrients of the children diet are described in the theoretical part. This first part contains the most important principles of the proper diet of the child during the given phases of a child development. Moreover, the correct timing of nutrition and drinking regime during the sport are mentioned in this second part. Based on those theoretical foundation is built the practical part. Results obtained from an analysis of the diet of 18 young swimmers and 18 triathletes at the similar age are interpreted in the practical part. A range of the respondents' age was between 10 and 15 years. The results show differences between those two groups in their diet. Both groups have problems to follow the nutritional recommendations. The differences were found in total energy, protein and iron intake. Both groups showed similar characteristics in vitamin C intake. Key words: children, swimming, triathlon, sports nutrition, drinking regime
Nutritional indicators of performance triathletes
Skuhrová, Tereza ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Matoulek, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis is aimed to find out nutrition indicators of performance triathletes and to compare them with non-sportsmen. The next aim is to point out the importace of proper balanced diet in endurance sport and to evaluate the usage of food supplements. This thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical one. Main individual nutrients are described in the theoretical part in connection with energy metabolism and with emphasis on influence of nutrition in triathlon. The practical part summarizes results obtained from an analysis of a four-day nutritional intake of 8 performance triathletes and 8 non-sportsmen. A range of the respondents' age was between 26 and 37 years. The results point out that both groups have higher energy intake than recommended rate. Both groups' intakes of proteins and fats of animal origin are approximately twice higher than recommended as well as their results of micronutrient intake are not balanced. Furthermore, a brief questionnaire shows that 50 % of respondents were not satisfied how they can gain information about nutrition, at the same time 54 % use the internet as a main source of information and only 13 % read a scientific literature. Key words: triathlon, sports nutrition, endurance performance, food supplements, drinking regime
Nutritional specifics in OCR
Lišková, Lucie ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Větrovská, Renata (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the nutrition of competitors in the obstacle sport known by the abbreviation OCR. The main task of this work is to describe the importance and significance of sports nutrition and its timing in this strength and endurance sport and consequently compare the diet of OCR competitors with nutritional recommendations for this sport. The aim of the work is to determine what awareness competitors in this sport have about sports nutrition and whether their energy intake is sufficient. The method of evaluation of the dietary record was used for the solution, to which a short questionnaire on the characteristics of the athlete and his training was attached. The research group consisted of 12 competitors (5 women and 7 men) in the age range of 19-33 years. Through research, I found that energy intake was not sufficient for both women and men. The average daily energy intake for women was 8,076 kJ, which corresponds to 83% of the recommended daily intake for this group of women, for men this average intake was 10,519 kJ, i.e. 82% of the recommended standard. In particular, carbohydrates played a key role in inadequate energy intake, their amount being significantly lower than recommended in both sexes. Based on quantitative research, I can say that OCR competitors do not have...
Differences in the eating habits of rowers and crossfit athletes
Kadlecová, Nikola ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Petráková Doležalová, Radka (referee)
The theme of this thesis is sports diet. It is divided into two parts. A theoretical part explains balanced died. It describes the mechanics of energy generation during physical activity and the characteristics of rowing and Crossfit. The focus is on diet in those disciplines. Based on the theoretical foundation is build a practical part, where the statistical data are analyzed and evaluated. The goal of this thesis is to discover, whether there is a difference between rower's and Crossfit athlete's diets. To find out, specialized questionaries about eating habits have been used. Sixteen sportsmen/sportswomen have filled the questionaries. Based upon collected data about their intake of selected nutrients in the last month, there were no statistically significant differences in energy income, protein consumption (neither animal nor plant-based), amount of fruit and vegetables, fatty acid spectrum nor added sugar income. The data have nonetheless indicated differences, eg. Crossfitters tend to have higher animal protein consumption and lower intake of fruit. Key words: crossfit, eating habits, nutrition, rowing, sport diet
Nutrition value of "Protein" labeled food
Knížková, Šárka ; Dostálová, Jana (advisor) ; Kudlová, Eva (referee)
This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of increased demand for foods with a high protein content on their packaging. The theoretical part describes the role of proteins in the body, their biological value, and it also names suitable sources of protein for the human body, including the protein content of common foods. There is a particular chapter dedicated to sportspeople and protein supplements. The requirements of the Czech legislation on food with a statement concerning proteins or the name protein itself are given at the end of the theoretical part. The bachelor's thesis aimed to find out the exact offer of foods with the protein label or with a claim related to proteins, evaluate these foods, and determine the awareness of such labelled foods in the general population. The practical part first deals with foods labelled with protein or claims about proteins freely available in the most standard supermarkets. The survey was conducted by visiting the six closest supermarkets while listing all foods with some protein claims. A total of 363 pieces were recorded. Furthermore, the most visited supermarket was evaluated with the help of registered sales and foods with the protein label found in this particular supermarket were analysed. The amount of protein of each food was commented on, and the...
Differences in adherence to nutrition recommendations based on prior education in youth football players at football academies
Wolfová, Nikola ; Suchánek, Pavel (advisor) ; Starnovská, Tamara (referee)
The diploma thesis describes the importance of education of young athletes in the field of nutrition. The theoretical part describes nutrition for children. It explains which macronutrients and micronutrients exist and why they are important for the child's body. Furthermore, sports nutrition for children and adolescents is discussed. Last but not least, the basic concepts associated with education, motivation and the influence of food on the mental and physical development of children and adolescents are explained. To meet the main purpose of this work, four goals were set. The first three goals are to compare two groups of boys. The first group of boys has been included in regional football academies for a long time and has been educated about proper nutrition in the past when joining the regional football academy and then in the following years. In the second group, the boys who come to the regional football academy are new, have never been instructed in proper nutrition before and will be educated for the first time. The comparison outlines whether and what is the difference between the results of body composition and diet of previously educated boys compared to those who were newly informed. The fourth goal was to verify whether and what is the importance of education and educational materials...
Impact of adequate energy and nutrients intake on growth and body composition of youth football players
Iliopulu, Margarita ; Hubáček, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Tomešová, Jitka (referee)
The main topic of my diploma thesis was to compare the changes in anthropometric parameters in relation to the diet composition of young footballers (soccer players) of the category U14 and U15 in the year 2017, year 2018 respectively, three months before entering the all-day regime of the Regional Football Academy at home and three months after that. The theoretical part focuses on the specifcs of the age U14 and U15 category, maps the nutritional needs for youth footballers in terms of nutritional, hydration and other important requirements, such as the timing of food. Next there is described the history and basic information about the establishment of the Regional Football Academies. The practical part works with the measured results based on regular anthropometric checks, body composition analyses, monitoring of body growth and information about daily food intake records on daily basis, which the football players recorded before entering academies. These daily food intake records were evaluated in the software BeetFit Pro. From the results of the diploma thesis it can be found that, for the successful changes of the anthropometric parameters and to manage demanding regimes within the region, it is necessary not only suffcient diet composition including the food timing, but major long-term and...
