Hydroelectric power plant with Zotlöterer vortex turbine

The bachelor thesis shows possibilities of utilization of the hydroenergetic potential on the Oslava River in the place of Pilský weir. In the introduction there are presented possibilities of utilization of hydropower potential, than selected and described suitable turbine for this site and design of a small hydropower plant.
The design of swirl turbine for the concrete locality for ČEZ

This thesis deals with the design of water turbine enabling optimal utilization of hydro-energetic potential of given location (barrage on Úpa river) chosen by ČEZ a.s. company. Moreover, the option of multi-unit layout is discussed. Because of the low-head profile of given location, the technology of swirl turbine in siphon configuration was chosen. Technology of swirl turbine presents new modification of Kaplan turbine with no need of guide vane. Swirl turbine is characterized by its high discharge and high speed. The main part of this thesis is focused on hydraulic design of the turbine.
Screw turbine form small hydro-power plant

The aim of this work is the research of small hydro power plants, design of main structural dimensions of screw turbines for small hydroelectric power plant and the subsequent evaluation of the economics of production. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part deals with general information about small hydropower plants. In the second part the screw turbine and its accessories are introduced in details. In the third part the screw turbine is designed for a specific location. The fourth section compares the possibilities of manufacturing hydrodynamic screw.

The study is divided into several parts, which include the processing of hydraulic and hydrological substrates, the design of applicable technology and the elaboration of drawing documentation of small hydro power plant. The purpose of a small hydro power plant on the weir Rajhrad is to use the hydropower potential of the river Svratka to generate electricity.

The Bachelor Thesis deals with the study of the existing uncontrolled weir on the river Svitava in district Brno-Obřany. The first part of the Thesis contains a theoretical part about theme of weirs. In the next part Thesis describes the current state of the area of interest, including the riverbed of Svitavy with neighboring objects. After that the Thesis describes the design of the reconstruction, including the selection of suitable movable construction and procedure of hydrotechnical calculations. In conclusion, a calculation of the stability of the design was described.

This bachelor thesis consists of a description of the legislative framework of small hydropower plants, which is necessary to know for their operation and construction. It also describes the general theory of small hydropower plants, specifically describes the individual technical elements - weir, gratings, sluice gates, ambushes, sand traps and stones, open flume, pipes and stilling basin. Another part assesses the economic feasibility of small hydropower plants for specific hydrological conditions and design of turbines on suitable work flow. The main part is devoted to specific proposal small hydropower plants in the village Tulešice by the river Rokytná.
