Bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation of the company IMI International, Ltd. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and indicators of financial analysis. In the practical part, the selected financial analysis methods applied to the company based on financial statements from the years 2009 to 2013. The aim is to evaluate the current financial situation and provide suggestions for measures that will lead to its improvement.

The determination and financial analysis of the company Brose CZ, s.r.o. are the focus of this bachelor's thesis. A description of the company, its significance, and its history is the topic of the first section. Theoretical explanations of financial analysis' methodologies and calculations are then given. The compilation of the financial analysis, which is processed from the accounting statements, is the main emphasis of the second stage, the application-verification. The findings of the financial study were assessed and suggestions for enhancing the operation of the business were advised.

Assessment of the Financial Situation of a Company Using Time Series

In this work, the application of statistical methods used for the evaluation of the economic indicators of Matrix, as, and on the basis of suggestions made to improve the financial situation. The theoretical part describes the issue of time series and selected economic indicators. In the practical part are then analyzed provided the financial statements of the company and then using a time series regression analysis predicted the future development of the company. The company is in very good financial shape but should focus on liquidity and profitability, which do not show the recommended values.

The diploma thesis is by its nature focused on evaluation of company performance. Analyzed company SITA CZ, a.s. is one of the market leaders providing services regarding of treatment with non-hazardous and hazardous waste. This company is analyzed in two aspects within diploma thesis. Evaluation focuses on market position and performance within specific economic activities according to NACE rev.2 – 382, at first. Second evaluation is focused on competitive benchmarking that should pin-point particular weaknesses. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to propose solutions to improve company performance and market position.
