A leisure center

The subject of my master’s thesis is creating a part of a design documentation for constructing a Leisure center with nearly zero energy consumption. The Leisure center is designed as a building with two above-ground floors and a basement. It is a newly-build public building with educational purposes. The building is designated for leisure time education activities for children and youth and organizing various cultural events such as exhibitions and theatre plays. There is a coffee shop on the first above ground. In the basement of the building is a mass garage for 10 vehicles, technical utilities of the building and a storage space. From the construction side the building is designed as a cast-in-place concrete frame with reinforced concrete columns and beams and mainly with cast-in-place reinforced slabs. A part of the building’s ceiling is designed as prefabricated reinforced prestressed concrete floor slab.
Home for the Elderly

The diploma thesis deals with the design of the project documentation of the home for the elderly in the village of Šoporňa, in the territory of the Slovak Republic. The building is designed as a detached building with three above-ground floors, partly underground. The building consists of a public section on the ground floor, where are situated services for residents and the general public such as hairdressing and cosmetics, doctors and dentists, cafes, massages and shop. There are also offices for administation, the dining room for the employees and the guests. First floor and second floor is designed for seniors, there is also a common room on each floor. The cellar part is designed for the interest of the guests, partly serves as a technical room. The third part of cellar serves as space for the maintenance of the building, the general storage areas and storage areas for business activity. Building is covered with warn flat roof with emergency breakwaters. The structure is based on the foundation pads and the structural system of the building is RC frame. The ceramic cavity blocks with contact insulation and ventilated facade are used on the infill walls. In the southern part of the building there will be a relaxing park and a relaxing garden.
Polyfunctional building

The assignment of my diploma thesis was to design a polyfunctional building. Function of the building is based on the requirements of the Land Use Plan Brno, cadastral zone Židenice. The aim of the design was to improve the quality of public space in the area by creating parks, urban parterre with services, parking and by bringing missing features to the area. The building is located in the centre of the plot. The main facade is oriented to the main street. Design creates new parking on the ground and in the underground garage. On the first floor are rentable spaces for commerce and services. At 2nd and 3rd floor are open space offices with the possibility of spatial variability solutions. Architectural expression of the building is simple, consisting as a compact mass with parterre subsided, useful in terms of energetical sustainability. The facade of the building is made as a combination of a transparent double skin facade and opaque ventilated facade with fibre cement panels. Structural system is a precast concrete frame with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete shear core. Foundation is made as a reinforced concrete pads and strips. Ceiling is made of a precast prestressed hollow core slabs.
Riding area

The aim of the project is a new construction of an equestrian center in the cadastral area Kuřim, South Moravian Region. It is designed for the public. The building has two aboveground floors. In the object there is stable, a riding hall with handy storages that are separate from the public. Another part is divided into facilities for riders, restaurant and accommodation. The second floor has a café, shop and offices. The hall is designed as a reinforced concrete frame, the other parts of the brick system Porotherm. The roof is pitched. The cladding is designed as a ventilated facade.
Library

The aim of the thesis is the design of project documentation of the new-building of library including road and technical infrastructure. Project is concerned with urbanistic, architectonic and construction-technical design of the building. The main assignment of the building is information and education activities. Object the library provides a comprehensive library and bibliographic services for scientific-pedagogical employees and students of the Brno University of Technology, other universities and other specialistic public. It is a detached building situated in the cadastral area Veveří close to the area of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Brno University of Technology. Object has 3 above ground floors containing the reading rooms, the study rooms, area of the cafe and also allow storage of the book stock. Bearing structure of the building is formed by a monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton mounted on the base plate. Facade of the building is in front of the bearing structure, is ventilated and outer surface is formed by laminate cladding panels. Roofing of the object is flat vegetation roof with planting of extensive vegetation.
Family house with an establishment

The aim of the project is a new building of a family house with an establishment in the cadastral area Kníničky, South Moravian Region. It is designed for a family of four or five members. The building is without basement and it has two aboveground floors. A part of the first floor consists of veterinary clinic. The building is designed mainly by wall system of Porotherm. There is an aisle roof and a flat roof. The cladding is designed as an external thermal insulation composite system or as a ventilated facade.
