The aim of this thesis was a proposal of new multifunctional house in the cadastral area Brno-Židenice. On this topic was made proposal in the AG32 subject. The building is located on the corner parcell of Nezamyslova and Táborská. The main objective in the design was to create a high-quality and full-fledged housing despite the hectic place where the building is located. The shape of the building is based on the street lines of streets mentioned above. Another factor taken into consideration is the chapel right on the junction of streets. The proposed house is trying complement chaple by its simple cubic form. Space between the house and the chapel should become more busy meeting place for locals. This action are supported by café located in front face of the building, which can expand outdoors during the summer time. An important element is the passage to a quieter area in the yard, where there is semi-public zone shielded from the bustle of the street used for rest. This duality is emphasized by the use of expanded metal facades only from the street side, which serves as a shading element. Conversely, in the yard of the house shows its milder form using white facade. Diverse height of the building respond to the increasing assumption of buildings and busy the street. Street Táborská is intended tram and car traffic, connects Židenice with Julianov and the surrounding area gradually undergoing renovations at which raises the height of surrounding buildings. On this side object has 4 storeys. Street Nezamyslova is only served by tram lines, the surrounding area are the family houses, which gradually decrease from the building. In this street object has only 3 floors. Proposed building becomes corner building that closes the block with the connection to the surroundings. Apartments in the building are designed to cover the widest possible the requirements for housing.

The topic of my thesis is an architectural study of a multifunctional residental building located at Svitava river bank which is surrounded by streets named Masna, Krenova and Hladikova. The objective of the study is to design a building that would utilize the space effectively and restore its function. As a result of the study, my project is divided into three compounds with the inner being a semi-public space, linked to its sruroundings by many passages and two main boulevards. The three combounds are composed of one administration block which is four storeys and the other two compounds are five storeys high, with the ground and first floors being different facilities e.g. kindergarden, restaurant, bank ,café, clinics, library, gallery, shops and a senior center. From the third to the fifth floor there are designated housing apartments comprising of small economic flats. The building has a two-floor basement, with a supermarket, technical facilities and parking. The construction of the building is from monolithic reinforced concrete frame, with the horizontal structure composed of beamless slabs. Housing in the Former Factory OP Prostějov
Tomaňová, Zuzana ; Zemánek, Václav (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
This project is focused on the conversion of the former factory area of OP Prostejov company, which is located in the Eastern part of the city Prostejov, close to the R46 highway. OP Prostejov company bankrupted in the year 2010 and since that year the area has been falling into disrepair. I approach this area in my thesis as new polyfunctional city district, which contains places for sport, relaxing, administration, commercialism, education, culture and living. I focus especially on the living function of this area, which is located in its Eastern part. Nowadays those buildings are being gradually dismantled, most of their parts have been practically taken out but the supporting construction system still remains. The view to those naked objects (bare steel-concrete skeleton) let us to see the energy of the historical development and also the legacy of the industrial past period. That historical view became the basement of my concept. My idea is to create different flats by the combination of separate units and residential containers (see scheme of flats). The flat solutions are done in some variations (from 1+kk to 3+kk). The entrances to the flats are from the external area, with some stairs and their own garden - it means analogically to live in family house, which is the dream of many people.
