Steel construction of an exhibition pavilion
Wawreczka, Karel ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The aim of diploma thesis is to design steel roof structure of minimum dimensions 45 m x 50 m and minimum height 12 m. The plan of the building design has dimensions of 52,14 m x 70, 00 m and height is 18,68 m. The roofing was design as 3D truss girders with two lower chords and one upper chord. The shape of 3D truss girder consists of three circular arcs of radius 69,88m, 12,43 m and 33,45 m. Between main girders is 3D bracing. The structure is pin-supported.
Railway Station in Zlin
Benýšek, David ; Štrba, Michal (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with design assessment railway station steel structure with roofing platform in Zlín. The structure has a lenght 80m, a width 44m and a height 9,87m. The structure is divided into two parts, first part consists office building and second part consistsroofing platform. The supporting structure of the hall is a transverse bond, which is formed by rounded truss ginder and truss columns with axial distance of 5 meters. The main construction material is steel S355JR. The work contains structural design report load-bearing elements, including joints and details. The calculations are processed according to the valid norms ČSN EN.
Roofing of sports stadium tribune
Hrtoň, Vít ; Horáček, Martin (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a design of a grandstand steel roof structure with ground plan dimensions of 15 x 116 m in Frýdek-Místek. The roof size must meet all the required dimensions, so that the comfort of sitting spectators is not disturbed. The transverse connection is FORMED by trusses, which are hinged on columns. The spacing between inner connections is 12 m and 10 m between outer connections. The columns are interlocked in the base. The rigidity is secured by a system of brace rods and truss purlins. The steel columns are composed of rolled profiles designed according to ČSN EN standards. The structure consists of steel S355, some parts are then made from S235 or S460 (ordinary steel).
The roof structure of the sport hall in Mikulov
Sochorec, Michal ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis describes design and static assessment of the roof structure of sport hall in Mikulov. Specifically the roofing of the two tennis courts and surrounding stands. Thesis examine several alternatives of design of roof structure like plate girders from glued laminated timber or truss girders made from solid wood. Girders span is 19 m above each tennis court. In the static calculation are assessed individual supporting elements and their connections. The thesis also includes fire resistant report of some elements of roof structure. Static analysis has been accomplished by student version of the SCIA Engineer 14 software.
Steel structure of a pool
Dovičic, Boris ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the design and assessment of the steel structure of the pool hall in the locality of Brno-center (Lužánky). The hall has the floor plan of a rectangle measuring 30x42m. The highest point of the steel structure of the building is at a height of 10,940 m above ground level, the minimum clearance is 7,340 m. The load-bearing steel structure of the building consists of a rectangular system of girders and purlins. The shape of the truss is determined by the upper chord and lower chord. The upper chord is an arc with a radius of 57.3 m, the lower chord is flat with 2 rotation. The centre to centre spacing of the individual main truss is 6 m. The main load-bearing columns and gable columns are pin-supported on round concrete feet from circular hollow section.
Tennis hall in Brno
Brozmanová, Dagmar ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this work is structural assessment of the steel construction of tennis hall. The ground plan dimensions of this hall, located in Brno, are 66,0 x 42,0 m. The height of the structure above the ground is 13,539 m. The load-bearing structure consists of arched truss girders, which are anchored to concrete panels using pins. The distance between the arched truss girders is 6,0 m. The spatial rigidity of the structure is enshured with purlins and bracings. Front walls consists of columns and girts. The structure elements are made of steel class S235JR+AR. Wall and roof cladding consists of sandwich panels.
Steel load-bearing structure of a sport hall
Hrtoň, Vít ; Horáček, Martin (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
The project's purpose is to create a design of a steel load-bearing structure of a sports hall with a floor plan measuring 30 x 63 m in dimension. The structure will be used for common indoor sports and consists of main trusses with parabolic chords and piston rods. The trusses are pinned on columns. The centre to centre spacing between the trusses is 9 m. The Columns are fixed to their bases. The Rigidity of the main frame is ensured by a sway and longitudinal bracing system. All bars are rolled steel profiles and are designed according to current ČSN EN standards. All elements are made from class S 235, S 355 or S 460 steel.
Railway station
Hodonský, Petr ; Bajer, Miroslav (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The content of the diploma thesis is design and assessment of railway station steel structure. It is a two-nave building with a length of 198m. The bigger nave span is 40m and it is 14m high. The smaller nave is 11m high and its span is 25m. The total width of the structure is 65 meters. The main construction material is S355JR steel. The supporting structure of the hall is formed by a curved planar trusses with axial distance of 6 meters. The transverse direction also consists of column that bears two main trusses. The static analysis of the main bearing parts of the structure, including joints and details is processed. The calculation were made in accordance with the Czech technical norms CSN EN.

The aim of bachleor thesis is design a static assessment of steel construction of sport hall. The floor dimensions of the building are 45x35m and the height of the construction above the ground is 17,7m. The main load- bearing construction is made of arched truss giders which are laid by pins on the concrete blocks. The range between these arched truss girders is 6m apart. The spatial rigidity of the construction is enshured with bracings and also with purlins. The front walls are formed by lattice columns that are articulated. The main elemenst of the construction are made of steel class S335 JR. Roof and front walls cladding is made of sandwich panels. Sport hall is situated in Brno.
