Diagnostics and assessment of prefabricated reinforced concrete structures

This thesis deals with inspection and constructionally technical research of reinforced concrete prefabricated construction from the second half of 20th century. In theoretical part, the research of literature, documents and valid standards is performed, with a focus on production and construction of prefabricated elements and also on the metodology of research. In practical part, the detection of reinforcement of individual elements of the construction and concrete properties is performed. The result of this work is the assessment of the state of the construction, static calculation of the ceiling panel and idea proposal for eventual reconstruction.
Building survey and evaluating the state of construction

This diploma thesis is focused on building survey and evaluating the state of existing constructions. Process of evaluating the state of existing constructions and selected diagnostic methods are described in the theoretical part. The practical part is dealing with performed structural and technical survey of two industrial structures including evaluation of the strength of concrete and verification of the reinforcement. The final part includes assessment of both of the evaluated structures.
The verification of modulus of elasticity of hardened concrete in constructions

The bachelor thesis deals with the measurement modulus of elasticity of concrete in existing structures. Modulus of elasticity is measured by different methods on samples taken from the structure. At the conclusion of the results of the methods are compared. The thesis also compares the value of the module of elasticity of concrete in concretes with different water cement ratio.
Survey and assessment of reinforced concrete bridge construction

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the real condition of reinforced concrete beam bridge located in Brno Jundrov. In order to evaluate this condition, there was made the main bridge inspection. Subsequently, a number of diagnostic methods were used, such as hardness tests, concrete stress strenght, ultrasonic pulse method, including their evaluation. In terms of the main inspection, the condition of construction of the bridge was evaluated as V - bad. We found out that the concrete from which the bridge is built of is in very good condition. The problem, however, is the condition of the reinforcement located on the bridge. Based on its condition there must be expected lifespan within the next 5-10 years.

Effect of the Combination of Blast-Furnace Finely Ground Granulated Slag and Inert Admixtures on Physical-Mechanical Parameters of Concrete

This paper deals with the combination of blast furnace finely ground granulated slag (VJMGS) in an optimal ratio with an inert admixture. The aim of this work is to verify the influence of the mutual combination of admixtures on the physical-mechanical parameters of the concrete mixture, specifically the compressive strength of concrete. The obtained results suggest that even with half the dose of VJMGS in the mixture it is possible to obtain very similar physical-mechanical parameters of concrete in comparison with the recipe containing only VJMGS, which can be advantageous not only from an economic point of view but also from an ecological point of view.

This diploma thesis is focused on building survey and evaluating of the state of the three-storey industrial hall. The diploma thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part is described a common procedure for evaluation of the state of existing structures, methods used in diagnostics (selected ones - more detailed), advantages and disadvantages of methods. In the practical part is carried out construction and technical survey of the industrial hall, the concrete strength evaluation and verification of presence and type of reinforcement.
