Design and development of the electrostatic precipitator
Kvasnička, Karel ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of an electrostatic precipitator and familiarization with the problems of separation on these separators. The aim of this work is to construct a functional model of an electrostatic precipitator. The principle of operation and design will be described. In addition, the design of a separator is elaborated, which was subsequently realized and experimentally verified in the CVVOZE Power Laboratories Research Infrastructure. The first part deals with the description of the legislation on air protection, the most frequent input material of separators and descriptions of the basic types of separators. In addition, the electric separator, its area of use, construction and individual components, as well as the undesirable operating state of the separator, are further elaborated. In the second part are presented the equations and calculations for the design of the separator. In the next part, the separator designer and his laboratory tests are described. The separator was subjected to basic voltage tests from the viewpoint of its operating voltage. Its functionality fits the realized experiments up to 30 kV. On the basis of this work and the production of the equipment, it is possible in the future to test the properties of flue gases and other gases.
Air conditioning in the library
Pospíšilová, Lucie ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
Dissertation offers a plan for air – conditioning equipment of library building in Brno and it involves air filter experimental measurement. The proposal is divided into three parts. The first part explains air filter theory with detailed description of atmospheric air filters for separation of particles for general ventilation - filter parameter determination. Theory part ends specifically with pocket air filters and their construction. The second part focuses on experimental pocket air filter measurement execution, which calculates with variable filter cartridges and pocket count. Measurement also evaluates pressure drop and their efficiency. The last part of the dissertation looks at air – conditioning equipment design for specified building, concretely library building. The project solves fresh air traffic into interior of selected library rooms and it counts with thermal heat gain in summer season, heat loss in winter season and air humidity modification.
Separation of water drops from jet of steam
Miček, Michal ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on separation water drops from jet of steam. Liested are some of basic principles of separation of moisture and particles, as well as equipment, which are using these principles. Furthemore, this thesis include the part devoted to water drop formation during condesation of vapor. Last part is focused on the design of cyclone separator.
Separation of fine solid particles from flue gas
Lančarič, Vít ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis are focus for detailed description of fine solid particulates which are product from flue gas. Introduction type of Technologies for capture fine solid particulates. Calculation of electrostatic separator for specific coal and wood boiler.
Separation of solid particles from biomass burning
Štěpánek, Petr ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with aspects of the dust particles which occur in gaseous products from biomass combustion. The thesis introduces technologies by which solid particles capture from a combustion flow can be implemented. Principles and technical means of dust particles separation in mechanical separators are put in focus primarily. The thesis is concluded with a technical design of a cyclone separator.
Technology sputtering of flue-gas
Hladík, Petr ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
The object of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a research in field of flue gas scrubbing technology. In the first part, there are briefly outlined issues of size and shape of particles present in flue gas after combustion. Next part focuses on basic general characteristics of separators. Main part treats of individual types of separators. Following chapters deal with emission limits in Czech Republic and future development of the field. Thesis is concluded by sample calculation of the cyclone separator.
