Point of view on today´s world according to Peter Singer.

The aim of the thesis is to provide a complex picture of the contemporary world in the context of Peter Singer's ethics. In the introductiory chapters we will analyse the main philosophy of Peter Singer's works, namely The Animal Liberation, Practical Ethics, Applied Ethics, Writings on an Ethical Life, One World: Ethics and Globalization. On these examples we are trying to prove that this author and his theories are frequently missunderstood by the general public. During the analyses we will consider the general model of moral and ethical values of the society and put them in the context of Singer's philosophy. We will also include the detailed analyses of the spiecism which is a crucial topic for all Singer's works as well as for this thesis. Except this issue, we will also include a detailed analyses of the moral and ethical values and how they have been viewed in different historical periods by different influention philosophers.
Handicapped hero of children's literature as a subject for drama education lessons

This thesis deals with the problem of handicapped individual in children's literature as a subject for drama education. The diploma thesis has two parts. In the first theoretical part, I dealt with the issue of handicap, the relation of literature and dramatic education with a focus on literature with handicapped hero and assessed the possibilities of using such literature in the process of dramatic education. The practical part was based on action research, which took place in 5 literary and drama lessons, which were created on the basis of a literary masterpiece. During the evaluation, I focused mainly on changing the relationship between handicapped and disabled people based on the experience of dramatic education. In addition, questions have been examined if this topic is not difficult for pupils of primary school and what pitfalls it can bring.

Víra a morální hodnoty sociálního pracovníka v pomáhajících profesích Faith and moral values of social workers in the helping professions Michaela Fiedlerová This bachelor's thesis focuses on the role of faith and values in social work, highlights areas where religion and spirituality are already firmly in place and also reveals the dark side of religiosity and crisis situations arising trough involvement ones worldview into the relationship between social worker - whatever party worker or client is believer. The paper endeavors to answer the question whether and, if so, to what extent can social worker affect the service to his religious beliefs. Pitfall of religiosity in social work lies in the fact that the social worker can access to his task as a religious mission, more or less consciously can put pressure on the client (or colleagues) to accept his understanding of the world, to profess the s ame values and even in the same manner. The social worker has considerable power over the client, legitimate one, arising from his position, expert power and especially power resulting from source control. Media ethics and discursus of moral values in movie

Thesis is focused on media ethics and concentrate on moral values in film. The goal of thesis is to confirm or to disprove the need of applied ethics in film production. Thesis is divided into three parts. First part is focused on media ethics in film in general. Second part advise about several media theories and film in relation to ethics. Thirt part is dedicated to film semiothics and values. The core of theses is created of several aspect of film such as film editing, language and meaning through out film acting, sounds and costume. We do not emphasise good or bad impact on film on moral values but we bring out significance of value creation process. We underline film creation itself and tools of film production. The structure of thesis is interdisciplinary. I tis verz sensitive connection of ethics knowledge, media and semiothics. Interdisciplinar view brings toghether known facts and new approach. Supporting the moral development of pre-school aged[sic] children at nursery schools

The aim of my dissertation was to describe the responsibilities of teachers in institutional pre-school education and how they bolster the moral development of pre-school age children, which takes place in the context of the children's mental progress and the formation of moral values gained from their families. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the moral progress of pre-school age children, educational and institutional strategies to develop the moral consciousness and good behavior of pre-school age children and the abilities and skills of teachers in the field of ethics education. The practical part describes the results of my research, which mainly surveys activities that improve the moral progress of children used in practice by teachers in nursery schools. The following chapter makes sugestions and evaluates the execution of educational projects aimed at the ethical education of pre-school age children. This work contibutes to the understanding of observations of the moral progress of a pre-school age child with connections to the practices and abilities of teachers in nursery schools. How media affect personality of the teenage students staying in the dormitory

This bachelor´s thesis touches upon the media in relationship with the students staying in the dormitory. Theoretical part to the thesis centres on the concepts of both moral value and its focus. Additionally, it is the broad definition of the term adolescence including the mental changes associated with it. Finally, it monitors the leisure time activities together with the students´ interests. The thesis embraces media from many aspects, mainly it is their positive and negative contribution to the life of the students. The last chapter of the theoretical part summarises the research dedicated to the leisure time activities. The goal of the practical part is to uncover what students use the internet for and whether the time spent in the dormitory somehow affects the areas students search for. Moreover, the thesis attempts to find out to what extent the students obey rules applied to the internet usage. Eventually, the paper tries to explore if there are any substantial differences between students accomodated in the dotmitory and those living with their parents. Both groups are examined with sthe pecial focus on the online activities.

The practical part puts stress on the different perception of the necessary of a written ethical code from the side of teachers and parents. The main means was a questionnaire.
Eward and punishment in the life of a preschool child

The Bachelor paper examines the issue of educational tools. Rewards and punishments, though used most frequently, belong also to those tools whose merits and demerits are extensively discussed. The theoretical section offers different opinions and angles of view together with a range of possible approaches to upbringing and education. The section explores both the traditional and the contemporary methods available to bring children up in families and at infant schools. Moreover, this section of the paper presents a psychological insight into the children's perception and the manner in which they embrace moral values. The practical section processes and evaluates the results of research conducted in families and at four infant schools with reliance on a questionnaire. Additional bits of information were obtained by interviewing the children.

This bachelor work deals with the pre-school education to moral values, particularly with development of desirable moral qualities. Theoretical part, based on professional literature, defines concepts: values, education to values, moral education. It refers to education to values in various periods up to present. This part also defines introduction of education to values in educational documents. Practical part involves description of education to moral values in Frame work educational programme for pre-school education and elaboration of education to moral values in concrete school educational programme. According to a survey, it reports parents` and pedagogues` attitude to the moral education in background of kindergarten.
