Landscape
Kuchynková, Monika ; Kornatovský, Jiří (advisor) ; Raudenský, Martin (referee)
This thesis deals with the theme of inner and outer landscapes in the fine arts in terms of pedagogic, historical and theoretical. Theoretical part of the bachelor thesis views on the theme of landscape from several views which focuse mostly on the horizont motive, inner and outer landscapes and Wallachia. Art part of the thesis presents the cycle of pictures, where inner and outer landscapes interwine, which are associated with the horizon and Wallachian countryside to which the author of this thesis has a very strong emotional relationship. Mind map shows application of landscape theme for lessons of arts in pedagogical part of the bachelor thesis. Pedagogical part includes art series that were realized in art lessons at the primary school Žerotínova.
Metamorphosis transformation of a man to an animal in a mythological context The interaction of the object with the types of enviroment
KUTIŠOVÁ, Veronika
This thesis is divided into two sections theoretical and practical. The theoretical section briefly touches on various aspects of myths, including from social, literary and artistic points of view. The reflection of society through myths, stories of transformation, primitive art and its resonance in contemporary art lay the foundation for the practical section of the thesis, which is devoted to the realization of a wire-based three dimensional object that interacts with a particular environment.
The impact of water dessication on the development of \kur{Rana temporaria} tadpoles.
MODRÁ, Denisa
Common frog (Rana temporaria, Anura: Ranidae) reproduces in various freshwater habitats including shallow ponds with variable water level and hence high risk of mortality due to the water losses. I performed a laboratory experiment with simulated drying and assessed whether continuous water loss supports phenotypic plasticity of common frog. I showed the influence of decreasing water volume on development time, body size and weight of tadpoles.
Juvenile hormone signaling in insect development and reproduction
SMÝKAL, Vlastimil
This thesis comprises three published papers and one manuscript, all focused on the role of juvenile hormone (JH), the JH receptor Methoprene-tolerant (Met) and its target gene Krüppel-homolog 1 (Kr-h1) in insect development and reproduction. The JH-Met-Kr-h1 pathway is critical for metamorphic transition in hemimetabolan Pyrrhocoris apterus (Hemiptera) and holometabolan Bombyx mori (Lepidoptera) but seems to be dispensable during early larval postembryonic development. The results also show that Met and its heterodimeric partner Taiman (Tai) but not Kr-h1 are critical for ovarian development and vitellogenesis in Pyrrhocoris females. In vitro, in vivo and cell-based techniques in Drosophila melanogaster have demonstrated that Met and its paralog Gce are a bona fide receptor for JH. Only Gce capable of binding JH rescued Drosophila deficient for Met and Gce proteins, and the capacity of Gce to bind JH was necessary for JH-dependent transcriptional activation by Gce and Tai.
Typical and Atypical Role of Animals in Children's Literature and the Author's Fairy Tale
RABOVÁ, Markéta
The bachelor thesis, Typical and Atypical Role of Animals in Children?s Literature and the author?s fairytale tries to define and explain the term fairytale in general. Its development as a literal genre, different types of fairytale and its origin. It tries to characterize the fairytale?s figures/heroes and heroine with detailed description of animal protagonists. The main aim of the thesis is based on the comparison of the traditional animal fairytales (written by the Brothers Grimms) with modern adaptations of Angela Carter?s short stories. The second chapter introduces the analytic theory by C.G. Jung and the connection of psychology and fairytales and also the importance and necessity of its analysis. From the different points of view specify the role of the wolf and cat in given stories and also animal metamorphosis in The Beauty and the Beast and The Frog Prince. The thesis tries to summarize the psychological influence on (pre-school) children development
