The bachelor’s thesis is focused on Risk management in a construction company. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to information about risk in projects, basic division and control. The practical part pays closer attention to a specific construction contract, in which case the acquired theoretical knowledge is applied. Furthermore, it includes the identification of risks, their evaluation and the motion of the precautions against increasing their impact or elimination.

ICT and security in elementary art schools

This bachelor thesis identifies and defines the security threats for the personal, property, and information safety management by the means of ICT in primary art schools. The manuscript describes processes of security control and risk management, principles of information security guidance according to the ISO/IEC 27000 standard and some of the security system technical designs. The security of electronic data and benefits or drawbacks of information system and data network utilization are also discussed. For better orientation in the topic and to simplify the decission process, an explaination of particular technological principles is provided. The research part of this work is focused on the means of security currently used by primary art schools, the effectivenness of such tools, and the plans for future instalation of new technology. Further, the state of the computer and cable network security in primary art schools is studied with the emphasis on the strength of account password and the password making policy. Finally, the means of wireless network protection, principles of data back-up, and remote desktop work safety are investigated. The theoretic part contains information about risks in projects, the science of risk and about processes connected with risk management. The theoretical knowledge is used in the practical part to create a list of risks for a concrete builing order, to valuate these risks and prepare suggestion how to eliminace or reduce the inpact of these risks.

Utilization of Virtual Reality Technology in Risk Analysis and Safety of Production Machines

The doctoral thesis introduces a study of possibilities for utilization of virtual reality technology in risk analysis and safety of production machines. The main goal of the thesis is to analyse and examine possible means of integrating visualization and interaction techniques of virtual reality into the risk identification process in the early stage of the production machine life cycle. The proposed work provides a methodological approach to the theoretical implementation of these techniques in the definition of dangerous areas of a machine, identification of sources of possible risks and verification of applied measures built-in in the machine structure. A system approach is used for forming and optimizing the introduced methodological procedures. The solution includes the design of the methodology for effective transfer of 3D design data into immersion virtual reality domain. This enables overcoming existing barriers in exploitation of virtual reality technologies in industrial applications. The next section introduces a procedure of implementation of real tools and equipment in immersion virtual reality domain, including an option for detection of collisions between the real tools and virtual objects. Experimental tests confirm its capability of practical utilization. The impact of the final practical contribution is shown by a decrease in the number of accidents during assembly work, due to its appropriate planning and thanks to training of the personnel on a virtual prototype, carried out already before the manufacturing of the actual machine. The result of the presented doctoral thesis contributes to further qualitative improvement of techniques and methods for preventive increase of safety and reliability of developed machines, particularly of machining centres, which will help increase their competitiveness. The properties of the designed procedures are documented and verified on real industrial cases.

This thesis was written in company J.P Plast, Ltd. Contains all important parts to managed the risks. In the theoretical part we have done general definition of risks, risk management and etc. The first part of work includes analyzes of actual situacion at the company. In the practical part I did it actual situation by SLEPT analysis, SWOT, finance analysis and etc. According to analyzes we found risks and suggested actions to improve the competitive position of company on the market.

Kepner-Tregoe’s Existing and Potential Problem (Opportunity) Analysis at Film Festival’s Organization

This diploma thesis examines risk identification, risk assessment, and risk management of existing and potential problems and opportunities at film festival's organization, using Kepner-Tregoe's methodology of Rational Processes. In the opening chapters the term risk is defined, and the Kepner-Tregoe's methodology introduced. The extensive part of the thesis focuses on application of thesis methodology on real problems and opportunities from the author's experience with organizing film festivals both in the Czech republic, and abroad. The aim of this research and application is to find a suitable methodology that can be applied to specific conditions of such a type of cultural organization.
