Creation as one of human needs

This thesis deals with the relationship between creation, human needs (focusing on the need for self-actualization) and creativity. The theoretical part describes the general and artistic creation and then creation is further divided into professional and amateur. The thesis briefly discusses the human needs and later focuses on the theory of basic human needs according to Maslow. Emphasis is put on the need for self-actualization. The last part of the theoretical section is devoted to creativity, the current perception of this phenomenon, and primarily focuses on the connection between creativity and self-actualization, as defined by Maslow. The empirical section describes the design of research that explores the correlation between self-actualization and creation, while comparing self-actualization and creativity among three groups: (1) people that create as a profession, (2) people that create as a hobby and (3) people that do not create. Parkinson´s disease - enforced life transformation

The main goal of this thesis was to map the changes in the life of people diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. To shed light on this topic, three research questions were designated: How does the Parkinson's disease influence the biological site of the individual? How does the Parkinson's disease influence the mental site of the individual? How does the Parkinson's disease influence the social site of the individual? The empirical part of this bachelor thesis was conducted by a method of qualitative research investigation, which was conducted by a technique of semi-structured interview. Each interview was separated into four different parts. The first part was focused on the basic information about the interviewee. The second part was focused on the impact of the disease on the biological site of the individual. The third part was dedicated to unravelling the impact of the disease on the mental site of the individual and the fourth part was revolving around the impact of the disease to the social site of the individual. The researched group consisted of people with Parkinson's disease, who are attending the Parkinson's club in České Budějovice. The obtained results were processed with the method of open coding, utilizing the technique "pen-paper". The results are presented in separate categories, which are further divided into a specific number of subcategories. The first category focuses on the impact of the disease on the biological needs and involves subcategories focused on the first signs of the disease, the mobility, self-sufficiency, sleep and eating. The second category concentrates on the impact of the disease on the mental needs and is composed of subcategories looking at the adaptation to the disease, the mood, life values and priorities. The third category focuses on the impact of the disease on the social needs and involves subcategories focused on the free time activities, the vocational life, the family relationships, the relationships with friends and on the economic situation. Based on the obtained results, it is possible to state that the Parkinson's disease is not only a physical illness, as it strongly affects the mental and social site of the patient as well. This work brings a unified view on the topic of Parkinson's disease and its impact on the everyday life of the patient. This work can be used by anyone, who wants to obtain more thorough idea on the ordinary life of the patient diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and his/her needs.
Quality of life of seniors living in countryside

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the quality of life of seniors living in the countryside. The theoretical part of the work first deals with the general concepts of aging, age, quality of life, human needs, autonomy of the seniors, etc. And many others. The following part focuses on the importance of the external environment for the quality of life in old age and the differences between life in a city and in the countryside. Last but not least, the currently available possibilities to support and help seniors are introduced and the types of social services and social work in the rural environment are described. The focus of the empirical part of the thesis consists of a quantitative exploratory investigation to ascertain what the social and cultural conditions of life of the elderly in the countryside are and what form inter-generational relationships have. The analysis and final data interpretation of the questionnaire survey provides background material for the suggestions how to improve the lives of older people in the countryside.

Senior citizens in residential institutions in Austria: Own perception of needs

The thesis deals with subjective perception of needs of clients in residential institutions in Austria. The overview part describes important concepts of old age and the issues and the process of aging, further it describes ways of adaptation to old age, forms of activisation of seniors and the topic of human needs of elderly people. Theoretical basis of the work is typology of needs by A. Maslow and M. Max-Neef. The overview part is followed by qualitative research that is looking to find an aswer to the research question: What is the subjective perception of needs by elderly people living in residential care.
Quality of life of persons with mental disabilities from the perspective of their parents, depanding of the supply of social services in Pardubice

SUMMARY: In my diploma work deals with evaluating the quality of life of persons with intellectual disabilities by their parents. The work used quantitative educational research, specifically survey. The first section summarizes selected theoretical background on the issue of mental disability and quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities. In the second part of my thesis is described by the research, which was investigated methods, what strategies were used and research items have been collected. The results obtained are summarized in the final part. The aim of this thesis was to explore whether a range of social services in Pardubice significant indicator of quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities from the perspective of their parents. The results show that it is not.
The spiritual needs of pensioners in the residential home in Velká Bíteš

The spiritual needs of pensioners in the residential home in Velká Bíteš Abstract: This theses focuses on spiritual needs of senior citizens living in the residential home for pensioners in Velká Bíteš. The theoretical part concentrates on the human needs, ageing and old age, healh and social services. It deals with spirituality, pastoral care, meaning of life and some religions. The practical part examinates the spiritual needs of pensioners in Velká Bíteš and tries to find out if these are sufficiently met. Further it maps the relation between the elderly to the faith, especially to some religious activities, and their cooperation with pastoral workers. The theses provides specific recommendations based on the results of the survay. The conclusion lists recommendations, which could be put into the practice and increase the quality of the spiritual care for senior citizens in residential facilities. Interconnection between Art and Drama

The thesis is devoted to the topic of linking art and drama. This theme focuses on the practical verification of the functionality of the links in the preparatory year at the fine art school, which was implemented over two years. In the introductory part I am approaching the theoretical field of art education and its principles trying to find out its limits and define the relationship between visual art and the field of drama. The practical part describes the course of art-drama lessons inspired by three literary models. The thesis aims to provide a sample path that can help solve with support of dramatic education the weaknesses of fine arts.
Are inhabitants of western Europe happier that inhabitants of eastern Europe?

The aim of master thesis is finding answers to the question, if inhabitants of western Europe are happier than inhabitants of eastern Europe. I want to compare standards of living in these regions based on the indexes of living standards. Further I want find out, if the happiness is measurable. Europe during the economic crisis has shown that GDP of countries slowed down, but is this economic indicator showing happiness of nations? Does it present satisfaction and well-being of the population? Can we identify some relation or dependence between GDP and happiness of the population? What are the indicators that are able to answer this question? A substantial part of my work will be comparison of the individual indexes of living standards and I will specify, what means standard of living and what are the components. In the practical part I want to compare reality in different areas of human life, which is related to the standard of living and to compare these data between the nations in western Europe and eastern Europe.
The business concept of catering services equipment in urban structures

This diploma thesis deals with point of food and baverage services in human residences influenced by urbanization processes. It was necessary to analyse primary and secondary data during processing this thessis. Secondary data was got from technical literature and web sites. Primary data was got due to questionare research, managed interviews and my own observing. This information was used for creating business concept which is connected to impact of urbanization processes (especially social atmosphere and social relations between residents). This concept was created for family business based on knowing people in this part of city with aim to contibute to improve social atmosphere.
