Creating a Hydrological Model to Determine Maximum Runoff from a Small Catchments
Hakl, Petr ; Pospíšilík, Šimon (referee) ; Menšík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to set a hydrology model based on existed methodology DesQ-MaxQ, which comes from "Designing flows from a very small catchments" established in 1989. The model is able to set a nearest meteorology station and his 24-hours rainfall depths for periods of repetition 2,5,10,20,50 and 100 years. Substitute rainfall depths are set by "reduction of 24-hours rainfall depths" methodology. According to hydraulic and hydrology conditions of catchment, duration of the critical rains for each period of repetition are set also peak flow rates and total runoffs from the catchment. Application can work in two modes - "one slope" and "two slopes". The second option also includes calculation of design duration for the model catchment and superposition of hydrograph. Application RainRunoff was develop in C# programming language with graphic user interface and option to exports hydrographs.
Assessment of erosion and flood control measures effectiveness in small catchments
Feltl, Jakub ; Podhrázská,, Jana (referee) ; Krejčí,, Lukáš (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
Thesis is about assessment of erosion and flood control measures effectiveness, especially of broad base terraces. The main contribution is a new method of flood effect evaluation of these measures. This is solved by modern programs and geospatial technologies such as ArcMap and HEC - HMS. Economic assessment in alternative solutions of flood and erosion control effect is a main result which leads to optimal technical proposal. The proposed, relatively fast, method can be successfully applied in practice.
The project of the flood and soil protection measures in the small watershed
Šebrle, Jiří ; Šilhan, Vlastimil (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the work was evaluation of erosion losses and peak flows for designed territory in Třebařov. Erosion loss was designed by USLE method. Peak flow was calculated using CN curve in DesQ software. Based on these values measures of soil erosion control and water managment measures were designed.
Derivation of rating curve for discharge estimation in the centre of Prague
Fojtová, Tereza ; Pavlásek, Jiří (advisor) ; Bašta, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with the processing of data of water levels and flow measurements in measuring profile Vltava at Charles Bridge in Prague. The work is divided into theoretical part, ie. literature search and the practical part. Review of literature deals with the characteristics of the Vltava River, the basic hydrological concepts. For the most part it focuses on the importance hydrometry or the science of water, which thoroughly explains how the water levels and flow rates are measured and how measurement methods can be used. The practical part describes the characteristics of the territory and processing measured values, which were measured at three different points in time. They referred to the resulting data are shown in the tables and plotted in the graphs. Finally, the work was compiled empirical density curve, which graphically illustrates the relationship between the water level and flow. To curve the optimum, we have chosen various processing procedures.
Feasibility study of the flood protection measures in the localities of Husovice and Židenice at the Svitava river at km 6,000 – 9,000
Hanzlíková, Zuzana ; Höll, Jan (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with a suggestion of flood protection measures on the Svitava river in km 6,000 – 9,000. Solved locality is found in Brno, particularly in city parts of Husovice and Židenice. Thanks to used joined 1D and 2D model were made hydraulic calculations for peak water stages Q1, Q5, Q20 a Q100. The outputs of hydraulic calculations were used afterwards for creation of maps of flood danger and drawing documentation of flood protection measures.
Evaluation of Flood Waves in the Upper Part of Jihlava River Basin
Kozel, Tomáš ; Marton, Daniel (referee) ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis is about construction of forecasting models for prediction of flood flows of systems measuring profile Batelov – Dvorce, Dvorce – Ptáčov and Batelov – Ptáčov on the river Jihlava. For forecasting flood flows were used classic hydrological forecasting models. Another forecasting models contained neural networks. Data for construction of forecasting models were used for years 1960 – 2010. Evaluation was made in the end of thesis. The thesis also containes theoretical line of flood flows volume.
Study of possibilities protection of small village against rural zone water
Holý, Jan ; Vrba, Jan (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The thesis deals with protection against water from rural areas with a focus on the protection of the village Chrudichromy. The chapters are structured so that outlined the general theory of flood protection and design protection in the cadastral Chrudichromy. The design consists of project protective reservoir.
The proposal parameters of the small water reservoir in GIS environment.
Feltl, Jakub ; Ivana,, Kameníčková (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
This report deals with rainfall-runoff modeling and small water reservoir projection with usage of modern software equipments (GIS, HEC-HMS), using maximum number of available data sources (BPEJ, LPIS, N-year rainfall gages, 3D contours …). The advantage of this method is that it is possible to predict the shape of hydrograph and flood wave volume as well. Other methods cannot offer judgment of flood wave volume and hydrograph shape as this method does. The most important thing in small water reservoir projection is the flood wave volume value, which is undervalued nowadays using wrong evaluation. This method’s advantage is variability of scenarios depending on soil surface, used agricultures, hydraulic and hydrologic parameters etc.
Flood Prediction in Borovnice - Dalečín Measure Profiles
Hiesböcková, Tereza ; Janál, Petr (referee) ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
Aim of a work is construction of forecasting models for prediction of flood flows of measuring profile Borovnice – Dalečín on the river Svratka. As a tool for issuing predictions will be used classic hydrological forecasting models, and models based on artificial intelligence methods. Predictive model will be consisting from summer flood flows for the years 1997-2007. In the end of the work will chosen a better method for issuing forecasts
