Electrochemical Measurements in Flow Systems on Silver Amalgam Tubular Detector Combined with Auxiliary Electrode
Josypčuk, Bohdan ; Barek, J. ; Josypčuk, Oksana
A new type of tubular detector (TD+AuxE) was proposed, fabricated, tested and compared\nwith a typical silver amalgam tubular detector developed earlier. Non-stop-flow differential\npulse voltammetric anodic stripping method (AS-DPV) and amperometric method in a\nglucose oxidase biosensor arrangement were tested. Both detectors were applied for AS-DPV\nmeasurements in flow systems for the first time. The proposed combination of tubular\ndetector with auxiliary electrode provides a much greater current response than the classic\narrangement with three individual electrodes. All relevant parameters (potentials of\naccumulation or detection, flow rate, analyte concentrations, shielding sleeve length, etc.)\nwere optimized for the developed TD+AuxE.
IP Address Activity Monitoring
Compression of IP Flow Records
Kaščák, Andrej ; Kajan, Michal (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
My Master's thesis deals with the problems of flow compression in network devices. Its outcome should alleviate memory consumption of the flows and simplify the processing of network traffic. As an introduction I provide a description of protocols serving for data storage and manipulation, followed by discussion about possibilities of compression methods that are employed nowadays. In the following part there is an in-depth analysis of source data that shows the structure and composition of the data and brings up useful observations, which are later used in the testing  of existing compression methods, as well as about their potential and utilization in flow compression. Later on, I venture into the field of lossy compression and basing on the test results a new approach is described, created by means of flow clustering and their subsequent lossy compression. The conclusion contains an evaluation of the possibilities of the method and the final summary of the thesis along with various suggestions for further development of the research.
Aerodynamic analysis and design modifications of L 410 NG aircraft wing-fuselage junction
Derevjanik, Šimon ; Pejchar, Jan (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
This thesis deals with CFD analysis of a wing-fuselage junction on L410NG airplane. Possible modifications are proposed as well. Calibration problem solved in the introduction serves as a pathway for validation of the results and gives insight into the CFD methodology. The main part analyses the airplane's flow field and shows the details of the modelling process. Description of the computing network followed by final evaluation is presented. Next part is devoted to the creation and aerodynamic analysis of the modified geometry. Final part of the work compares both basic and modified geometry.
Aerodynamic analysis and design modifications of L 410 NG aircraft landing gear nacelle
Pukl, Marek ; Hradil, Jiří (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the flow analysis around the landing gear nacelle of L 410 and with its following aerodynamical optimalization. In the first part the calibration is performed on the known geometry which was tested in wind tunnel. The following parts contain own design of the optimal geometry, design of the computional mesh with its numerical solution and results evaluation.
CFD analysis of turboprop engine air intake
Przeczek, Jan ; Doupník, Petr (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on CFD analysis of M-601 turboprop engine nacelle mounted on L-410 commuter aircraft. Calibrating exercise is performed at the beginning of the thesis in order to be more familiar with CFD problems. Next parts of the thesis are chronologically divided with respect to project progress, namely suitable geometrical model creation, mesh creation in order to obtain computational model, calculation using CFD methods, results evaluation and proposal of possible construction transformation at the conclusion.
Electrochemical Biosensors Based on Enzymatic Reactor with Amalgam Powder
Josypčuk, Bohdan ; Barek, J. ; Josypčuk, Oksana
Enzymatic reactor based on the powder of silver solid amalgam was suggested as the main part of biosensors in flow systems for the first time. 4-aminothiophenol, glutaraldehyde and enzyme were gradually bonded to the amalgam surface. Large surface of the fine amalgam particles maintains a big quantity of enzyme molecules. Biosensors were tested with enzymes ascorbate oxidase, glucose oxidase, catalase, tyrosinase and laccase. Electrochemical detection of the oxygen concentration change (for the first 3 enzymes) or the quinones concentration (tyrosinase and laccase) in the measured solution was done amperometrically by means of the tubular detector of silver solid amalgam. The current response of each biosensor was optimized with respect to the detection potential, the flow rate of the mobile phase, the injection volume and the enzymatic reactor volume. Under the found optimum conditions, concentration dependence and some statistical parameters of repeated measurements (relative standard deviation (RSD) for the studied enzymes was in the range 0.81 – 2.1 %) were measured. Biosensor with the ascorbate oxidase reactor was used for determination of ascorbic acid in the vitamin tablet Celaskon®. Results of the analysis were in good agreement with the contents of ascorbic acid declared by manufacturer and the RSD of these analyses was 2.0 %.
