Influence of the psychosomatic situation of mothers in pregnancy on the prenatal development of the child and condition of newborn after delivery
ŠIMEČKOVÁ, Alžběta
Current status: Mental well-being in pregnancy is one of the most beautiful moments in a woman's life. It's such a miracle experience. There is a period of complete change with pregnancy. Both women and their partners are changing their living standards, changing their lifestyle, and changing their life position. A pregnant woman feels that nothing will be like before. A pregnant woman is very sensitive and also vulnerable. Purpose:The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the psychosomatic situation of the pregnant woman and her influence on the prenatal and postnatal development of the child. Another goal is to determine the degree of mental (non) well-being during pregnancy and after delivery. Methods: Qualitative secondary analysis of data and documents and subsequent synthesis of the information obtained was used to achieve the objectives set. I used the data from the National Medical Library in Prague, the library of 2. LF UK and FN Motol in Prague, the library of National center of nursing and non-medical health providers in Brno and the Academic Library of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Also searched were the international internet database ScienceDirect, Ebscohost, PubMed. In the Scopus database, keyword search was unsuccessful. Results:The benefit of the diploma thesis is the degree of psychological well-being of pregnant women using the Freybergh scale on the basis of acquired data. Research method and research file: The diploma thesis uses a standardized evaluation method, using the Freybergh scale consisting of seventy closed questions. I will get the approval of the respondents and also Mr Freyberg, using a standardized scale. The annex is the approval of Professor Freyberghov, using the assessment scale in my diploma thesis. Respondents were ad-dressed from February 2017 until February 2018. A total of 30 pregnant women were approached by a written form, personal handover or social networking, of which fifteen were willing to engage in research. The research group was to consist of fifteen pregnant women, which is fulfilled. I responded to each respondent in third, sixth, ninth month pregnancies, and postpartum. When the respondents filled the same rating ranges from seventy questions both in the given months of pregnancy and postpartum, the respondents' task was to express the frequency of occurrence of feelings on a four-point scale from "never, at all", "rarely, exceptionally", "occasionally", "often" to "always, always, always". The nine respondents were first pregnant and six respondents had at least one pregnancy experience. The evaluation was performed using a qualitative method in the form of axial and selective coding of anchored claims using the Atlas.ti computer program. Conclusion: The paper deals with the degree extent of pregnancy psychosomatics of pregnant women using the Freybergh self-rating scale. The thesis is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical work focuses on the development of the fetus throughout pregnancy. It also focuses on prenatal psychology, prenatal history, and the most important part is prenatal communication. In the practical part is selected quantitative research focused on the psychological well-being of pregnant women using the Freybergh scale in selected months of pregnancy.

Kavalíková, Aneta ; Starnovská, Tamara (advisor) ; Teslík, Leoš (referee)
Pregnancy is a one of the most important period in a woman's life that begins with the fusion of female and male sex cells and ends with the miracle of the birth of a new life. During this period woman experiences many physical and psychological changes that are caused mainly by the growth of the fetus. The body of a woman adapts to the new situation and the woman's lifestyle can influence not only the course of pregnancy, but also evolution, health and growth of the fetus. When adhering healthy and varied nutrition, pregnant woman can prevent many congenital developmental defects that could affect the fetus or other diseases that may occur after birth. Nutrition in pregnancy
JENÍČKOVÁ, Markéta
The aim of this Bachelor's thesis titled "Nutrition in Pregnancy" was to identify how women eat during pregnancy, whether they are properly informed about nutrition, where they get information and whether they take dietary supplements. The researched women were in the second trimester of their pregnancy. The examined data were obtained through questionnaires and weekly food diaries. The questionnaire helped me to find out whether the women use dietary supplements or addictive substances. Next, it also identified what the women think they should or should not eat during pregnancy and where they acquired information regarding nutrition. I used the Nutriservis program to process the food diary of each woman to determine the average intake of energy, protein, fat and carbohydrates per day and per week. The program also calculated the recommended calorie intake per day. I compared this recommendation with the actual nutrient intake and evaluated it individually. Most women had normal weight before pregnancy, some were overweight and there were even cases of obesity and moderate malnutrition. Next, the research showed that the majority of the pregnant women searched for information about nutrition primarily for the sake of fetal health. They mostly obtained the information from books, magazines, the internet or their gynecologist. The women from the research group do not follow any alternative diet during pregnancy, they do not use druha and drink only the recommended amount of coffee. Only one woman smokes during pregnancy; she indicated "just" 5 cigarettes a day. The women use supplements mostly for fetal health and prevention. The majority of the pregnant women have a university education and they are between 31 and 35 years old. The second biggest group consists of women between 26 and 30 years.
Maternal-fetal cellular trafficking: clinical implications and consequences
Knížková, Karolina ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Petr, Jaroslav (referee)
Microchimerism is the presence of small population of cells with a different genetic information within the organism, which can result from bidirectional transfer of the cells between the mother and fetus during pregnancy. It is very studied phenomenon whose biological role is not clear yet. The presence of fetal cells in mother's body is associated with both positive and negative effects on maternal health. Microchimerism plays a role in cancer or autoimmune disease and it is implicated in development of tolerance mechanisms during pregnancy. Microchimerism could be used in prenatal diagnostics for aneuploidies or in prediction of complications during pregnancy.
Effect of addictive drugs on prenatal development
Hofmannová, Oldřiška ; Peterka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Peterková, Renata (referee)
Substance abuse is long-term worldwide problem. This thesis summarizes findings about the effects of stimulants, opiates and hallucinogens and focuses on the most commonly used illegal representatives of individual groups: cocaine, amphetamines, heroin and LSD. All these substances have negative effect on both mother and her fetus. Some of addictive substances can influence pregnancy and childbirth. There is also higher risk of fetus mortality and morbidity of the new born baby. Prenatal exposure to addictive substances could have influence on the birth weight, length, head circumference, its further growth and behavior. Some drugs can cause neonatal abstinent syndrome which can lead without prenatal care to death of newborn.
Animal Models of Intrauterine Infections
Schuma, Marek ; Šplíchalová, Alla (advisor) ; Seifertová, Eva (referee)
In mammals, embryonic and fetal development takes place in the mother's uterus under sterile conditions. The embryo, and later the fetus, is connected to the placenta by the umbilical cord and floats in amniotic fluid in the amniotic cavity lined by the amniotic membrane. Preterm birth is associated with decreased weight of newborns and increased morbidity and mortality. Intrauterine infections are one of the leading causes of preterm delivery. Various etiological agents, such as viruses, bacteria, yeasts and protozoa, can cause these infections. These infections induce expression of inflammatory mediators, which participate in triggering of preterm birth. One of these mediators are cytokines. The bachelor thesis is based on a literature review dealing with animal models of prenatal infections, which are exploited in the study of regulatory mechanisms of preterm births or eventually in the study of experimental manipulation of these mechanisms. Various infectious agents and their parts, such as LPS, and the routes of administration are compared. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages of different animal models are discussed with respect to the type of placentation, duration of gestation, animal weight and litter size. The thesis contains the section dealing with experience with a pig model...
