Social media etiquette

The thesis deals with the etiquette within social media and social network sites as a part of network media. First section focuses on the phenomenon of etiquette in historical context and deals with associated terms such as courtesy and politeness. Second part deals with documents concerning so called netiquette - network etiquette. Finally the third part focuses on the etiquette within social network sites (SNS). The paper analyses three SNS - Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and their official rules concerning appropriate user behaviour. Furthermore there are also unofficial rules created by users, enthusiasts, bloggers and journalists defined in the paper. Last part focuses on some phenomena that are significantly related to the topic of social media etiquette. The finding of the thesis shows that there are certain SNS etiquette rules and suggestions that are repetitive. It was also discovered that there is lack of uniform official etiquette rules within the SNS whereas the membership of users plays an important role in shaping those rules, advice and suggestions.
Etiquette, Manners and Customs in Korean Society

(in English): The focus of this thesis is to examine Korean customs, manners and etiquette within the life cycle. The aim of this work is not to describe the various rituals from either anthropological or sociological perspective, but to overview customs, rituals and social etiquette rules which that accompany these rituals. The work is divided into four main chapters, including a general description of Korean society, childbirths, wedding ceremonies and finally death and ancestor worship.
Self-censorship on Facebook

The thesis deals with self-censorship on the biggest online social network Facebook. The main purpose was to determine the reasons for using self-censorship on Facebook. Qualitative research was elaborated with usage of semi structured interview focused on virtual world of active Facebook users and on deeper examination of it. Theoretical part describes concepts and ideas related to the theme of the thesis. The methodological part describes in detail the qualitative research and it's requirements. The analytical part deals with the research itself, analysis of transcribed interviews and with the rules designed by researcher for safe use of Facebook by children. The researcher has decided to set the rules from the findings determined during the creation of the thesis. The self-censorship is the key to the safe behavior on Facebook. Every user of this social network has to learn how to distinguish, what could be placed there and what shouldn't.
Dining in Kindergartens

The aim of the thesis is to find out how dining is carried out in preschools, what is the organization in various preschools like and how it does contribute to meeting the goals of preschool education. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of goals of preschool educational objectives as they are defined in the Framework educational program for preschool education, educational strategies in preschools, eating and dining possibilities in terms of fulfilling the educational goals, legislative conditions for eating and dining in a kindergarten, etiquette of dining, educating preschool children at it and developing the skills and habits necessary for eating and dining. The practical part contains an analysis of how a kindergarten solves dining habits and the way in which children are led.

Martin Souček, Ph.D. Thesis deals with customer behaviour and decision making process at wine market with special influence of package and label of the wine. Qualitative research was used in the practical part of the thesis. Two main methods were eye-tracking research and depth interviews with wine consumers. Based on the results a con-sumer behaviour model was created. Thesis contains marketing recommendations that could be used in wine label creating.
Specifics of business negotiations in China

This thesis aims to provide complex view of business negotiations with Chinese partners, particularly with regard to intercultural differences and characteristics of business protocol. The thesis is divided into four chapters, focused on China as a territory, distinctions in culture and business, as well as selected business dealings between Czech and Chinese company. Knowledge of Chinese "game rules" and sufficient preparation are two essential preconditions for long-term success in the Chinese scene.

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to characterise the Malaysian culture and its impact on a business meeting with a Malaysian partner. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics of Malaysia, it gives information about geography, residents, language, climate, political system and political situation, symbols of the country, membership in international organisations and economic situation in the country. The second chapter analyses Malaysian culture, it is specifically dedicated to religion, art, the most important feasts, Malaysian cuisine, the main tourist attractions and cultural dimensions according to Geert Hofstede. The third chapter is about preparation and course of a business meeting and about business etiquette.
Eating habits and the specifics of gastronomy in selected Asian countries

The thesis analyzise and introduce the eating habits and the specifics of gastronomy in Japan and South Korea. The aim of the thesis is to compare individual cultures and describe the differences between European and Asian gastronomy. The first section of the thesis is focused on the theoretical part of the tourism industry and the definitions. The second section describes the Japanese and Korean culture, their eating habits, etiquette, individul dishes.
