The Master´s thesis is structurally divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author describes current global environmental issues and the impact of the industry on the environment. The current state of the environmental legislation in mechanical engineering, environmental management systems, and methodologies of an environmental impact assessment are described. The practical part deals with the environmental burden of the snowboard production process according to the LCA method. Life cycle inventory is performed to evaluate individual materials whose production is the most environmentally damaging. At the last stage, possible measures are proposed to reduce the environmental burden.

The author takes a close look at the processes of that organization, and makes a list of all the important things that are related to the processes (including their limits and conditions) and that should be carefully considered when the directives and regulations of the organization are being made.

Application of Risk Analysis Method Leading to Improvement of Environmental Quality

The diploma thesis deals with the application of the risk analysis method for environmental impact assessment of a business entity. In the introduction of the theoretical part, an environmental review is carried out, focusing on the approach of the Slovak Republic, followed by theoretical background on environmental management, and in the end of the first part there is a survey of risk identification methods. The analytical part presents the system of environmental management in the company. After evaluating the current state, the thesis proposes its own proposals as preventive measures, which contribute to more effective management of environmental pollution risk.

his master’s thesis deals with implementation of the environmental management system in the concrete company. It compares the implementation in this company with standard ČSN EN ISO 14001. The concept of the environmental management system is introduced in the theoretical part of the master’s thesis and the implementation how is standard specifications being asked. Implementation of the environmental management system by top management describes the practice part. The system implementation is evaluated by repayment time of investment.

The diploma thesis focuses on the management of the environmental system in a selected company. The thesis specifies the theoretical requirements concerning the environmental management system and the ČSN ISO 14 001 standard. It contains an established system in the company, it´s use and environmental management within the company. The conclusion of the thesis is to detect the shortcomings of the established system and to propose remedial measures reparation the environmental deficiencies.

The thesis focuses on environmental management and carbon footprint of the selected company. It specifies the theoretical requirements related to environmental management and the ISO 14 001 standard, along with theoretical concepts related to carbon footprint. It includes an analysis of the environmental system in place and a calculation of the overall carbon footprint of the company. The paper concludes with suggestions and measures to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the company in order to have a lower environmental impact.

Legal aspects of EMAS in the Czech Republic Abstract This diploma thesis is focused on "Legal aspects of EMAS in the Czech Republic". The aim of this diploma thesis is to characterize EMAS, analyse its legal aspects, both at the EU level and in the Czech Republic, and based on a study of relevant legislation and other sources comprehensively evaluate the legal aspects of EMAS in the Czech Republic afterwards. For purposes of introduction of the topic the introductory part is dedicated to environmental protection instruments in general while voluntary instruments, which include EMAS, are presented in more detail, and the second part is dedicated to environmental management systems. The third part of the diploma thesis analyses the key legislation of EMAS at the EU level, both its development and de lege lata regulation, and its other legal and other contexts, including an analysis of the legal context of EMAS in selected European countries. That three parts simultaneously comprise the characteristics of EMAS. Fourth part of the diploma thesis is dedicated to the legal aspects of EMAS in the Czech Republic, in the first place in the form of analysis of these aspects in a similar structure as in the case of legal aspects contained in the third part and my evaluation of these aspects afterwards. Implementation of selected environmental management system elements according to ISO 14001 in company

This diploma thesis deals with creation of environmental management system according to standard ISO 14001:2016 in a manufacturing plant. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the development of ecology worldwide, including its relation to industry, mandatory legislative requirements for an enterprise with the aspect of environmental protection, description of the systems EMAS and ISO 14001: 2016 and the comparison of their requirements. Finally, the theoretical part includes the introduction of the company in which the practical part of the work was implemented. The practical part of the thesis describes the requirements of individual chapters of ISO 14001: 2016 and they are compared with the actual state of company. Subsequently, the author of the thesis created all required documentation for the missing parts of the standard (e.g. environmental policy, environmental aspects, binding obligations of the company and others). This documentation should be implemented by the company in all its departments for successful certification according to ISO 14001: 2016.
