Putna, Ondřej ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of small-scale waste to energy plants in the Czech Republic. In the first part, there is a survey of the corresponding literature and general evaluation of the specificities of these plants. The next section analyzes the technical and economic indicators of a specific technology by Microsoft Excel model. Finally, recommendations for small-scale waste to energy plants arising from the model are summarized.

Hamáčková, Martina ; Fiala, Alois (referee) ; Koška, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on energy management and implementation of ISO 16001:2010. The first two chapters describe DEZA a.s., its operations and activities. The third chapter explains the requirements of ISO 16001:2010 and in the fourth chapter, the process of implementation of these requirements in operation is described. The last chapter describes the requirements of ISO 50001:2012 and compares them with the requirements of ISO 16001:2010.
Heat pump with accumalation
Kohout, Jiří ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the assessment of SCOP of the heat pump installed in the selected building and with the determination of optimal size of accumulation which should help to heat pump work with higher temperature and higher SCOP. Annual savings of operating cost and return of investment from installation of accumulation tank are evaluated in this thesis. In the research part of this thesis are described the main components of heat pump, sources of low-potential heat and types of heat pump.
Method for Energy Efficience Simulation of Machine Tools in Design Stage
Tůma, Jiří ; Demeč, Peter (referee) ; Suchánek, Rostislav (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
Ph.D. thesis is focused on the design of the method for simulation of energy demands of machine tool in operation at the stage of its development. Proposed method is developer on the basis of literature search in science and in industry. The method itself is composed of five related steps, that must be realised in the proper order in order to create a relevant energy profile of a machine tool. The output from the method are simulated data providing a course of comsumed energy and required power which are time dependent. Output data are obtained on the basis of the drive system simulation of machine tool through G-code, that is interpreted for simulation by the compiler into the matrix. It contains data necessary for controlling of machine tool, such as the required end points of the tool and required feed rates, to which is assigned a time value. G-code is partially time parametrized. It is then followed by full time parametrization through a of mathematical model of drive mechanisms and due the synergy of software for drive mechanisms control (Matlab Simulink) and software for physical simulation (MSC Adams) is processed into output data. As an input parameter figures also coefficient used as multiplier of the normal force of driving mechanisms, which is a function of feed rate. This loss function is obtained experimantally. In the context of Ph.D. thesis were conducted two experiments, used to verify the developed method. For each experiment is proceeded according to estabilished method and it is included a comparsion of simulation and measured data for various operating modes. The proposed method, described in the Ph.D. thesis, allows designers to summarize the energy demand of the proposed machine before its production. When correctly interpreted, the results of the method can serve as a basis for improving the energy profile and thereby increasing the energy efficiency of the machine tool.
A Critical Comparison of Government Practices to Achieve Higher Housing Energy Efficiency Across EU
Absorption cycle in the heating industry
Pleva, Ondřej ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to introduce technology of absorption heat pumps in various modifications. Technical design draft is created for chosen modification (single stage unit water-LiBr) and based on given parameters calculated in computing software EES (engineering equation solver) and process is explained step-by-step. Following part of thesis contains reference design draft of heat plant and this design is used to demonstrate several different options of applying absorption heat pump including version capable of providing also cooling. Those options are compared with each other from technological and economical stand point.
Energy labels of electrical appliances
Diblík, Jan ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
In my bachelor's thesis I engaged in energy cards of electrical appliences. I acted and controled for Law number 406/2000Collection, for manage energy what frame preparation Czech Republic walk in European Union introduce in harmony with european legislature. This law and legislature in conjunction with law signify charge for all producer alectical appliences mention energy cards in the all appliences. I mention for example energy card. On the energy card are appliences distribute for seven energy class according to class A is the most of economy class and class G is least economy class. On the energy card mention next particulars, for example name or business symbol of producer, identity symbol of model applience use of producer or impporter and next. In my thesis I engaged progresses for determine energy class electrical appliences formation universal progresses for determine energy class appliences, define basic universal qualities and parameters. There are pieces of knowledge is possible take advantage of already non-cards appliences, determine energy classes divided for two groups. First group energy class is enumerace for consuption electric energy and second group energy class is enumerace with regard to next quantity. It was extract wrote next important and universal date on energy card. All pieces of knowledge took advantage of application energy card on non-card appliences factual home bakery of bred. At this home bakery of bred chaose reference conditions at what measured electrical consuption. I was set up energy class in what Iam put into its this consuption. For objektive was set up energy card this home bakery of bred.
Efficiency of the energy use of biomass
Szelecky, Zsolt ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This final thesis deals with the theme of energetic usage of biomass and its energy efficiency. In the first part the term „biomass“ is explained and classified into categories. The main part of this work deals with technology converts of raw biomass into valuable energy products. The final section is closely connected with the previous part, where the emphasis is placed on energetic effiency of abovementioned technology converts.
Evaluation of the alternatives of PCDD/F removing in the incineration plants
Frýba, Lukáš ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Bébar, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on analyzing the current status of the technology used for cleaning flue gas from persistent organic pollutants, especially PCDD/F. For the three most commonly used methods of solution operational and energy efficiency comparison was made, where achievable energy export and the impact of the change in working conditions on the efficiency indicators of energy production and use of the energy was evaluated. In conditions we considered an alternative machine-technological solutions used for the final disposal of persistent organic pollutants resulting from the waste combustion in terms of additional operating costs and energy efficiency.
Effectiveness in reducing costs in heating
Chytil, Michal ; Zlevorová, Tereza (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
Heating of family houses, due to its significant energy consumption, ranks among major sources of pollution worldwide and at the same time represents a considerable item in household budgets. This Batchelor thesis deals with the possibilities of saving energy in heating family houses and their economic viability. The thesis includes a list of options for reducing heat loss and subsequent comparison of basic types of heating. At the end there is a model calculation of individual variants and their economic comparison in terms of financial return.
