Modern approach to user interfaces for e-mail
Hruška, Marcel ; Kratochvíl, Miroslav (advisor) ; Škoda, Dominik (referee)
Webmails are indisposable interfaces for working with the e-mail on the current Internet, mostly because of the simplicity of their deployment in bro- wsers and easy integration with many provider-specific features. The most important features that are partially or fully missing in current open-source webmail implementations include directory-less mail organization by tags, navigation driven by a high-performance fulltext search, and integration of time-management capabilities. This thesis describes a new open-source alter- native to advanced commercial webmails that possesses these features. The software integrates full-text search capabilities of the ElasticSearch database with current e-mail processing infrastructure on UNIX systems to create a back-end server application, which is used by a Javascript-based browser front-end. The performance of the solution is tested on a large e-mail dataset. 1
Efficient Transport of Electronic Mail with Microsoft Exchange Plugin
Jakubis, Tomáš ; Homoliak, Ivan (referee) ; Kováčik, Michal (advisor)
This project discusses optimization of e-mail and SMTP traffic in proprietary product of Microsoft Exchange 2013 in regard of marine industry. The goal is at first to analyze the requirements of this service on slow and unreliable network connections, SMTP traffic and then the product itself. Afterwards it defines specification  for the final product and prepares the test environment. Design and implementation of transport agent using Exchange Management Shell is described for synchronization of two installations of Microsoft Exchange 2013; and focuses on emerged problems during the development, discusses different approaches and possible solutions. Testing shows various shortcomings of found solution. Finally, analysis of final solution shows possible future improvements and a need of security upgrade before applying to production environment.
IMAP Proxy for POP3 Mailboxes
Kružliak, Miroslav ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Kolář, Dušan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with retrieving e-mails from different accounts on POP3 servers and their organisation in one account on IMAP server. It also studies settings and configuration of IMAP servers in enviroment of operating system Linux. Protocols IMAP and POP3 are briefly compared here from implementation point of view. Further it studies possibilities of periodical start of processes and secure saving of sensitive information. In this part of my thesis main methods of cryptography are shortly confronted.
Transfer of Security Email Proxy into Embedded Device
Richter, Jan ; Pecho, Peter (referee) ; Schäfer, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with embedded devices and their operating systems analysis for transfer of security email proxy into one of these devices. It also describes already existing project Mailproxy and techniques of email securing.
Startup On-Line Dashboard
Pecsérke, Róbert ; Skála, František (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze, design and develop a web application that allows registered users to create an email account with a random name - dropbox. Users can either redirect emails generated by other services or send their emails to the dropboxes. The application searches for specific data in these emails and to visualize their change over time. This thesis also verifies the interest of users of this type of service.
IMAP Implementation in C++
Pohl, Marek ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This thesis has focused on development of library of IMAP network protocol in C++ programming language. This work has focused on design and on interface of the library. Object design of this library is based on analysis of the IMAP protocol. Developed library contains implementation of a client and server part of the IMAP protocol. This work shows also the another IMAP libraries and evaluates pros and cons of the different solutions. Security of a network transfer is explained here in this thesis. This work deals with authentication methods, which are used to protect user credentials during authentication process. Created library can be easily used by software developers to develop an applications like an email client program and IMAP mail server. Part of this work has focused on testing of this developed library.
