Goal of this bachelor thesis is to design an electro-permanent magnetic end effector for robotic manipulator, which allows manipulation with mostly metal plates of small thickness. Elaboration is divided into several sections. At the beginning are elaborated basic principles of electromagnetism, followed by short literary research about handling effectors. Next part proposes my own solution. In the last part, manufacturing is described and real properties of electro-permanent magnet are measured.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is proposal of one segment of electromagnetic chuck system. In the theoretical section, we introduce the principle function of chuck systems with permanent magnets, electromagnets and their combinations. The main part focuses on the calculation of the holding force of electromagnetic chuck system with a combination of permanent magnets and electromagnets and verification using finite element method created in the simulation environment FEMM. The aim of assignment is also a practical design of the proposed system.

Diploma thesis is summarizing common theoretical knowledge about permanent magnets and electromagnetism. Represent DC electromagnet as basic part for levitated high-speed train. Work is analyzing basics under cart and principles used for magnetic levitation in high-speed transportation. Second practice part including projecting construction levitated cart and analyzing acquired mathematical model of electromagnet. Work is analyzing process for projecting control for side electromagnets and realization real model, including tuning computer communication with states of sensors and comparison real model with model simulated in program Simulink.
Design and analysis of electromagnet
Macek, Pavel ; Skalka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
This work deals with a proposal and an analysis of electromagnets. The first chapter is an introduction into solve of the problem. In the second chapter there is a general discussion about basic relations of the electromagnetic field. The third chapter is dedicated to the operation principle and construction of electromagnets and is supplemented with their common classification. The fourth chapter introduces the Finite Element Method and the FEMM programm. The fifth chapter is dedicated to the analysis of the DC electromagnet, the sixth chapter analysis single-phase AC electromagnet. In the seventh chapter there is a review of results of general analysis of both electromagnets.
Coupled model of solenoid
Hejl, Karel ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with the coupled model of an electromagnet and the verification of its results on a real electromagnet. The first chapter of this thesis is an introduction to the issues addressed in this work. The second chapter is devoted to physical analogies between domains and the description of an electromagnet. Also described are mathematical equations for electromagnet from electric, magnetic, mechanical and thermal viewing, as well as descriptions of modelling approaches using Matlab, Simulink and Simscape. The third chapter describes the design of an electromagnet to verify the coupled model. Another section is devoted to compiling equations for this proposed electromagnet and making of models. The penultimate part is dedicated to electromagnet design, measurement and data processing. The last section is devoted to comparing data with simulation and appreciation.
Apparatus for electromagnetic levitation
Kondys, David ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This paper deals with magnetic levitation. It is divided into two main chapters. At the beginning of the first chapter, it discusses the types of magnetic levitation and describes their use in practice. It then focuses on the MAGLEV high-speed trains that use magnetic levitation. The second chapter is about the practical fabrication of equipment to demonstrate magnetic levitation. In the beginning, it discusses possible designs of magnetic levitation and evaluates this. Next, it simulates the chosen design and produces a graph from the simulations describing the force required to pick up a preselected object. It also discusses possible distance sensors that may be useful for this design. Finally, it describes the practical fabrication of the device design, i.e., the fabrication of the solenoid coil and the solenoid holder. Finally, it evaluates the measured values when the device is started.
Electromagnetic levitation
Kondys, David ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of magnetic levitation. It is divided into two main chapters. The first chapter is focused on a general introduction to magnetic levitation. It describes the types of magnetic levitation, their use and the principle of execution. The end of the chapter is focused on a more detailed description of magnetically levitated MAGLEV trains. It describes the history of these trains, their use and construction. The second chapter is focused on the design of a device for demonstrating magnetic levitation. First, it deals with the simulation of an electromagnetic problem in the FEMM program. In addition, for the selected position configuration of the electromagnet and levitating magnet, it describes the design of the construction of the device in SOLIDWORKS and its manufacture. The result of the work is an attempt to make such a device that can stably keep the levitating magnet in the air.
Remanent magnetism of electromagnets of DC contactors
Horký, Jakub ; Píška, Jakub (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
The master thesis is focused on a remanent magnetism of electromagnets of DC contactors. In the first part of the thesis deals with the formation of a magnetic field in different kinds of materials, description of their magnetization and sorting. The next part is focused on the principle and history of an electromagnet. Negative effects and remanent induction of the contactor are described in the end of the theoretical part. The second part is a practical part. First, the reaction times were measured on a pair of DC contactors. Using the obtained data, an electronic circuit was designed to minimize the difference in switching times of the given DC contactors.

Veselý, Matěj ; Šimek, David (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
The bachelor project deals with controlling mean parametres of low voltage contactor by calculation and measurement. Deals more specifically with calculation of the applied electrodynamic forces on the contactor's movable contact, the determination of the minimum compressive force on the contactor's movable contact and the design of the contactor trip system. It also deals with calculation of heating of the current-carrying path on contactor and its following check by measuring.
