Methods of printed circuit board design

The main purpose of my bachelor thesis was to acquaint with issues of printed circuit boards and to create multimedia videos. The first part deals with questions of the accuracy, miniaturization and applied cases with different outlets. Following chapters dissert on electromagnetic compatibility from the view of basic rules, which have to be observed in order to reach the best functionality of the printed circuit board. There are also other issues - components increasing the reliability of printed circuit board and the comparing of methods of printed circuit board design. The final part of my bachelor thesis discusses outputs which are necessary in practice. This includes technical and design documentation and the technology of production the printed circuit. The last chapter describes created multimedia utilities which help us with printed circuit boards design via the program Eagle.
EMC Test laboratory for low voltage circuit breaker

Nowadays there are electronic systems almost in every new device. They are emitting and receiving electromagnetic interferences. The safety levels for circuit breakers are also increasing. Because of these issues the circuit breakers must work properly also in areas filled by electromagnetic interference. This thesis describes the issues of electromagnetic susceptibility of the circuit breakers.
Modelling of data transfer over LV and HV power lines

In this thesis work I am attending to matter of interference in transmissions by Power Line Communication. The goal of this thesis is to determine the impact of interference on the signal, which transmits data. This is achieved by implementing an interfering signal to the power line with the generator. There will also be an analysis of a way how to implement interference to the power line. After the implementation of interference I will monitor the impact of interference on the ongoing data transfer between the modems. At the end of this thesis is dissected the impact of interference in the transmission of data, with depicted transferred signal. Next is shown how the transferred signal affects communication between the modems and what happens when the interference
Coupling mechanisms of transmission interference

The primary focus of the Bachelor's Thesis is placed on description of dominant interference sources and coupling mechanisms of interference signals transmission from the source of interference into influenced system including main principles of minimization and elimination of interference impact on a system. A relevant part of the Bachelor's Thesis describes coupling mechanisms of interference signal transmission into a real cable system including derivation of theoretical coupling mechanism transmission and its subsequent verification by means of simulated non-harmonic signal measurement.
The Optimal Accuracy of Measurement Assurance in Accordance with Metrological Confirmation

This thesis deals with the evaluation of accuracy of measurement and achieving the required accuracy level. This includes global analysis of the uncertainty evaluation, the calibration interval design and the creation of confirmation system. Basis of this work is in identification of all possible problems, which may occur during evaluation of accuracy and achieving the required accuracy level. The analysis is followed by suggested solutions for identified problems. It means namely the selection of probability distribution in case of uncertainty type A, evaluation of degrees of freedom in case of uncertainty type B, nonlinear correlation of input values, evaluation of coverage factor, the choice of method for calibration interval design and the procedure for meeting all metrological confirmation requirements. The last part of the thesis is practical measurement and result evaluation in the field of surge protection devices. This chapter demonstrates conclusions from the syntactical part.
Numerical analysis of the lightning on small aircraft

This dissertation deals with the numerical analysis of effects of a lightning strike on an aircraft and with the design of the optimal composition of the composite structure in terms of lightning strike protection. When optimizing the composition, a simplified model of the composite nose section of an EV-55 aircraft is used. The optimization of the composite structure is based on results of experimental measurements and testing. On the simplified model of the nose part, the material composition of the composite is verified and the direct and indirect effects of the lightning discharge are numerically estimated
EMD instruments and electromagnetic mmunity

The work deals with implantable devices and possibilities of interference of elektromagnetic field. At first, the electromagnetic compatibility is discussed. Basic terms are explained, followed by insisting on resources of possible distrurbing of implantable devices and standards dealing with this issue. Furthermore, short chapter about devices affecting function of implantable devices is introduced. It means devices which patients with implantable devices may meet in common life, as well as devices used in common life, also devices used jn medical environment. In the next part, measuring process of electromamagnetic effect in working compartment of FN Brno magnetotheraphy and elektrotheraphy is devised. Design Rules for Electronic Systems with ATMEL Microprocessors from the EMC Point of View

This diploma thesis is dealing with the basic knowledge of the Electromagnetic compatibility. It’s concretely target on electromagnetic interference flowing from the application of electronic gas control by Honeywell company. Author compile the power control board with including software in language C. The next alternates of power control board with the separated microprocessor were designed for the more extended source detection. On these boards there were explored shielding surface features placed directly under the microprocessor. The application reducing the interference was designed in accordance to the rules finding out during this diploma thesis writing.
Electromagnetic field scanner and its utilization in EMC measurement

Master’s thesis is focused on making the acquaintance of EMC issues and ways of electromagnetic field scanner RS321 utilization for pre-compliance measurements. First part contains analysis of available equipment’s influence on measurement results on the basis of gathered specification. Next part includes an example measurement used as operational manual for scanner and its controlling program. The most important part is correction evaluation for performed EMI measurement of signal generator using its EMC certification protocol and application of gained correction curve on independent EMI measurement of device tested by EMC testing laboratory. Other possibilities of scanner utilization are mentioned in the next chapters. Last part of the thesis contains suitability evaluation of EMC scanner on the basis of findings from performed measurements.
Numerical solutions of EMC problems of small airplanes

Disertace popisuje současné problémy v certifikaci malých letadel, které by se měly v budoucnu řešit numerickým modelováním. Tento postup má zefektivnit návrh a zlevnit certifikaci letadel. Práce je úzce spjata s projektem HIRF-SE, který se problematikou certifikace letadel numerickými metodami zabývá. Podstatná část práce je věnována popisu dvou modulů pro platformu HIRF-SE: řešič BUTFE založený na metodě konečných prvků v časové oblasti a budicí nástroj BUTFE_EXC. Práce popisuje řešení pohlcujících okrajových podmínek, modelování disperzních a anizotropních materiálů a aproximaci tenkých drátů. Speciální pozornost je věnována řešení aproximace tenkých drátů s ostrými ohyby, jejíž současná formulace způsobuje překryvy mezi jednotlivými segmenty drátu.
