Piston for 77kW 4-stroke CI-engine
Štol, Michal ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
Annotation Michal Štol Piston of 4-stroke supercharged diesel engine for passenger car ÚADI, 2008, 39 pages., 18 images. In this bachelor works we will focus on description of piston’s group mostly, with characteristic properties and sorts of production. Further, we will make basic design of piston with strenght control of critical piston intersections. Then we can make drawings of individual part of piston.
Three-cylinder inline diesel engine with an eccentric crank for commercial vehicles
Domský, Viktor ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The goal is to investigate the influence of eccentricity on the force between the piston and the cylinder liner and the influence on balancing of the crank mechanism. For a selected eccentricity suggest a balancing method and perform stress analysis of crankshaft considering torsional vibration. Eccentricity is chosen by the ratio of centric and eccentric mechanism of friction work. The paper shows the effect of eccentricity on the selected kinematics values. Stress analysis is done in the software ANSYS. Using selected eccentricity the friction work was reduced by 10 %.
Disassembly Diagnosis of Diesel Engine
Válek, David ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this work is to summarize the possibilities of dismantling diagnostics of diesel engine defects and to explain them practically. The first part of the thesis is focused on description of individual components and used gauges. The reader will get acquainted with the basic concepts and principles of each part of the engine and their function. The second part deals with the real faults which can occur during the operation and their practical solutions.
An aftertreatment system for the passenger vehicles with a diesel engine
Stráník, Daniel ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Böhm, Michael (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of emission systems of diesel engines. The aim of this work is to analyse these systems, describe their construction and their controlling, explain the function, and determine their effect on the individual components of exhaust gases and average fuel consumption. The work also contains own concept of aftertreatment.
Multistage turbocharging of diesel engine
Vichr, Tomáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This master thesis summarizes the basic knowledge in the field of turbocharging of internal combustion piston engines. It also focuses on the analysis of some properties of multistage turbocharging, especially for diesel engines. Using analytical relationships, a model in the form of a web application has been created, which describes the cooperation of a turbocharger or turbochargers with an internal combustion engine. With the help of this model, some two-stage supercharging options for the selected engine have been then proposed.
Conrod for 4-storke CI-engine
Zahradský, Vít ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Point of this bachelor thesis is to suggest conrod for four - stroke diesel engine by engine specifications. My task was to suggest conrod proportions and make fortress calculation for each part of the conrod and verificate its functionality.
Measuring the Deceleration of Trucks up to 12 Tons of Weight with the Use of Engine Braking
Kašparová, Hana ; Sedlák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This thesis deals with braking effect of the truck’s engine. The theoretical part introduces the reader to the basic construction of trucks, describes most using engine and defines the factors having a significant effect on engine braking. In the practical part the reader is familiar with the technique used in making the measurement and description of the vehicle chosen for the implementation of measurement. The result of the practical part is the values obtained by measurement including their interpretation contained in the conclusion.
Common-rail System for 4-cylinder CI-engine
Ošmera, Petr ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis with a view to „common rail system for 4-cylinder CI-engine“ deals with the application of modern injection system „common rail“ to already existing compression-ignition tractor engine. The diploma thesis treats of the most necessary adjustments related with the replacement of injection systems which was solved in the way of the minimum adjustments. This kind of solution deals with an economic aspect of the problem. The reconstruction contains the engineering design of development of high pressure components and the suitability of their placing on engine. The primary adjustment of the application of system „common rail“ for existing tractor engine confirmed the possibility of this reconstruction.
Testing of the Common-rail pressure regulation valve by ADwin device
Dieselgas Engines
Březina, Tomáš ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Dieselgas engines. The first part work is focused on the history and development of engines and motor fuels. The second part deals with diesel engines, a description of the engine operating cycle, fuel injection system, types of diesel fuel, engine efficiency and emissions. The following chapter provides an overview of gaseous fuels suitable for passenger and public transport. Of these fuels, the two most commonly used are further elaborated. The fourth chapter deals with the use of gaseous fuels in diesel engines, the possibility of conversion of these engines, both by conversion to petrol and without this change. The last chapter deals with the effect on consumption and emissions of dual fuel engines.
