Technical solutions for blue-green infrastructure in cities
Císařová, Monika ; Macsek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with knowledge in the field of rainwater use in cities. Inclusion of the term blue-green infrastructure and a description of the design technical elements used for efficient rainwater management in urban areas. The practical part proposes the solution of the elements of the blue-green infrastructure on Údolní Street in the city of Brno with the requirements of the utility network administrators and the sewer network operator BVK, a.s ..
Sanitation installation and grey and rain water reuse in industry complex
Talač, Michal ; Lněníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Vrána, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor work is to outline a proposal for a plumbing system in the administrative premises of ESL plc, including a proposal for the usage of rainwater and greywater. Owing to the different attributes of rainwater and greywater, and the different issues surrounding them, the theoretical part is divided into two sections. In each section the attributes of the water, its quality, history and current methods of dealing with it are described. The practical part deals with proposals for domestic water supply and sewerage. The practical part includes a proposal for the location and size of storage tanks and wastewater treatment plants used for treating greywater. An essential element of this part is to equate the calculations with the subsequent design. The final section of this work is a project which includes technical drawings.
Drip irrigation of park area in multifunctional object with rainwater re-use
Kabátek, Stanislav ; Mašíček,, Tomáš (referee) ; Hyánková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design an irrigation system of park areas in a multifunctional object using rainwater. The knowledge obtained during the study was used to solve the problem. The solution is an irrigation system consisting of drip irrigation supplemented with a sprinkler irrigation system that uses rainwater for its operation. In the event of excess of rainwater, the water is disposed of by means of infiltration blocks located on the land. The benefit of this work is to show that the return on investment is acceptable in similar cases and, above all, that this investment contributes to responsibility for natural resources.
Civic amenities building
Baroň, Alexandr ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The first part of this diploma thesis is to design an energy-efficient hotel with restaurant and car parking. The second part is also to create an assessment of the energy performance of the building and usage of energy from renewable sources. Hotel is designed with the idea of „smart buildings“ which means, that all the technological background is controlled by the main computer, which also harvests data to achieve a minimum energy use and financial demand and maximum comfort and safety at the same time by controlling the connected technology. By placing on a sloped terrain in the center of Brno, the basement floor can be used as car parking. The roof of this building is flat, green, with modifications for placing solar panels, whose design is part of this work. The third part of this diploma thesis is the spatial acoustics of the conference room on the first ground floor.
The study of sewerage in selected municipalities
Soukup, Tomáš ; Hluštík, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with drainage of selected village Domamil. Include the description of basic types and possibilities of drainage, these findings are applied to determine the most suitable way of draining the selected village.
Sanitation installation and gas installation in the guesthouse
Matějková, Lucie ; Vaščáková, Alena (referee) ; Vrána, Jakub (advisor)
The Diploma thesis contains design of plumbing and gas installations in a pension. The theory solves warming of water, ways of warming, and dimensioning according to ČSN 06 0320. The calculation part solves variants of hot water preparations and installations of sewerage water. The practical part contains a design and a projekt of plumbing and gas installations.
Impact of drought on drinking water supply
Bergerová, Marie ; Sucháček, Tomáš (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of water age in the distribution system of drinking water supply. Various scenarios were simulated, which represented a reduction in water consumption due to the replacement of part of drinking water with rainwater. In first part, various definitions of drought and possible effects of drought are presented. The second part is focused on the consumption of water from the water supply network. The uses of drinking water in the household are defined here, but also an indication is included which household activities do not need to use drinking water, which can be replaced with rainwater. The practical part describes an analysis of water age. Not only was the analysis processed for different scenarios, these scenarios were also compared for different times of the year, including the annual average, the summer period (July, August) and the winter period (January, February). The analysis was performed using the Epanet 2.0 software program. In processing the results of the water age analysis, the relationship between water age, velocity, flow rate and pressure ratios were evaluted.
Stormwater management in commercial centers
Bekmukhambetova, Nuriia ; Velikovská, Kristýna (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is devoted to a rainwater management in commercial and administrative buildings. The goal of this work is to describe rainwater management system with a focus on its later usage. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first part examines the binding conditions, as well as the individual technologies and devices that must be included in the implementation of a rainwater management system. The practical part of the work is an analysis of the possibility of using rainwater for the needs of the fire brigade in Havlíčkův Brod. The result of this work is a calculation of the approximate payback period of the proposed system.
Storm water management in urban areas.
Vaculík, Tomáš ; Tauš,, Miroslav (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on Storm water management in urban areas. The first task for processing thesis was to arrange meeting with MČ Brno - Bohunice Ing. Antonín Crha, who has provided necessary information about the targeted location the and the reservoir for accumulation of rainwater collected. The practical part of the thesis is to capture the rainwater drainage in the existing rainwater sewerage system using the newly built pumping station and then pumping into the existing, unused reservoir. Accumulated water in the reservoir is planned to be used for the needs of the city, gardeners and other customers. The first part of the diploma thesis describes the management of refined water in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Germany. The first part also provides description of measures and technologies for the management of rainwater. Finally, there is description of the pumping station and borehole objects and the program for calculating the rainfall from the urbanized area. In the practical part of the diploma thesis the selected variants are described, rewarded and evaluated. The diploma thesis deals with two variants, that are guided along the same route, with the difference of the construction of the drilled well in the second variant. Both variants are handled by pumping. The option of the gravity inflow was rejected because of the large countersink of rainwater sewerage.
Management vodního hospodářství v obci Stašov
Franzová, Emma
The bachelor thesis provides detailed information about water management in the village of Stašov. It is particularly focused on drinking, waste and rainwater is-sues. The results of the bachelor´s thesis show that drinking and rain water ma-nagement is at a good level. The average specific consumption per inhabitant is above average for the Czech Repubic. The value of the specific consumption of Stašov in 2019 was ap-proximately 198,78 liters/ per person/ a day (Czech Republic 90,6 liters/ per person/ a day). The questionnaire survey and the information found clarified that this is a distorted value. The average specific consumption is influenced by the consumption of drinking water by the local agricultural cooperative. In the past, the Balda mineral spa was located in Stašov. Rainwater in the village is captured by 141 above-ground storage tanks and 5 underground storage tanks purchased from the subsidy pro-gram of the Environmental Operational Program. Up to 75 % of the population own at least 3 storage tanks. Water is mainly used for watering gardens. The problem is waste water management. There is no sewage system in the village. The village does not have enought founds for the construction of sewers. The situation is being im-proved by the construction of residential wastewater treatment plants. From the results, it was found that 41,66 % of the population uses the domestic waste water treatment plant.
