Methods of processing and coping with stress situation of people with diseases diabetes mellitus I. type

This bachelor thesis tries to describe coping strategies in stressful situations in individuals with diabetes mellitus I. type (DM1), who became ill during adolescence. The theoretical part is focused on current knowledge about diabetes mellitus I. type, generally about coping, last but not least, the chapter seeks to describe coping strategies in individuals with DM1. Through qualitative research, the practical part tries to capture resources of stress and coping strategies in individuals with DM1 in adolescence and adulthood. The research group includes five individuals suffering from the disease DM1. Results of the research showed that these individuals perceive stress completely differently and choose different coping strategies in coping with stress. Adolescents tend to choose maladaptive coping strategies. On the other hand, adults choose more adaptive strategies. Stress in these individuals affects their course of treatment.
Mental strain at school and its management in relation to self-efficacy in secondary school students

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of mental strain at school and its management in relation to self-efficacy of secondary school students. It is divided into two parts - the theoretical and the empirical. The theoretical one presents the issues of mental strain and stress through the basic terms, concepts and theories of psychology. Primarily it focuses on the context of school environment: namely the classification of stressors, sources and modifiers of school stress - that is manifestations and consequences of stress events. Next, it deals with the stress management illustrating coping strategies. Furthermore, the work puts emphasis on personality determinants of perception and coping with mental strain. This theoretical part is concluded by the chapter which describes characteristics of adolescents in relation to taking mental strain. The empirical part aims at the research of mental strain in the secondary school environment that intends to prove the existence of a relationship between the evaluation of mental strain of secondary school students, preferred coping strategies and self-efficacy (general self-efficiency). A partial objective is to explore the relationship of presented variables with other demographic determinants (age, gender, field of study). The intention is to map the occurrence of school stressors in the research set of secondary school students in terms of assessing their incidence and intensity of emotional assessment and to find out whether there is a link between these two aspects (frequency of occurrence and intensity of stress). The research is carried out through a quantitative research strategy. The questionnaire battery includes three questionnaires: Stress Management Strategy (SVF 78), Stress Situation Questionnaire (DSS 47), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). The research sample consists of 212 students of secondary technical school. In our research findings, a significant positive relationship between the rate of school stressors and the intensity of perceived mental strain was confirmed. The results showed statistically significant relationships between stress intensity, self-efficacy and preferred coping strategies. The empirical part lists all the results of our research including their discussion and limitations.
Psychosocial aspects of cancer in adults

Anotation: The diploma thesis " The Psychosocial Aspects of Cancer in Adults" deals with problems of the psychosocial aspects of the oncological disease and its command by adults patient.The theoretical part engages in individual phases of disease and its consequences of patient's life. It also deals with basic ethical problems which are connect with this disease. The theoretical-practical part states the basic forms and methods of supportive oncological care and it demonstrates the propsal for its classification. The practical part is elaborated by the form of interviews. The first interview was accomplished with the hospital chaplain woman and the following interviews with oncological female patiens. The main aim of the thesis is to alert to problems of the psychosocial disease aspects whose solution should be the inseparable component of the complex oncological care.

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. Coping with sudden motility limitation and its implication - coping strategies among young people with spinal cord injury and with multiple sclerosis

TITLE: Coping with sudden motility limitation and its implication - coping strategies among young people with spinal cord injury and with multiple sclerosis SUMMARY: This thesis is focused on process of adjustment of motility limitation, caused by spinal cord injury or by attack of multiple sclerosis, among young people. The motoric ability limitation affects their mobility as well as their social interaction, interests, plans and especially their independence. Thus, in age of gaining emancipation from nuclear family, they become dependant on their home-folks again. The theoretical part of the thesis acquaints with spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis from biological and psychosocial point of view, thereinafter it's engaged in coping generally and coping in relation to these two groups. Furthermore it's dealt with developmental periods characterization of adolescence and young adulthood, consequences of health turnover in self-concept in social context. The empirical part is based on semi-structured interviews with six young people (3 with spinal cord injury, 3 with multiple sclerosis). Experience of a vocational beginning as a psychologist in education

Submitted bachelor thesis follows the professional beginning experiences of psychologist in education. The aim of the study is to find and describe essentials influencing an entry of the beginning psychologist into education. A label "psychologist in education" includes school psychologists, psychologists working in an educational psychological consultancy or a special education center, according to this thesis. The theoretical part of our study is divided into five parts. We outline a developmental period of young adulthood according to Erikson, general and professional adaptation, coping, professional support forms (supervision, intervision, mentoring) and role of a psychologist in chosen types of institutions. Qualitative methodology is used in an empirical part. Semi-structured interviews were undertaken with 11 respondents from among beginning psychologists working in assigned types of educational consultancies. The interviews were analyzed by IPA methodology. The results are described in detail and afterwards discussed with available literature. In the conclusion, key points are summarized, which may ease the entry of beginning psychologist in education to employment.
