European Monetary Union in the context of development of the Euro

The aim of my bachelor thesis is the evaluation of the European Union, focusing primarily on economic and monetary union, which became the basis of a European integration process, one of the largest and most critical projects to which the European Union began. I will discuss the historical development of EMU and focus on significant milestones, such as the Bretton-Woods system, the Werner Plan, EMS and the Delors Report. The Delors report show three stages of EMU. Mentioning about the institutions and monetary union. I will deal with the euro currency and the introduction of common currency in Estonia. Furthermore, in this country will evaluate compliance with the convergence criteria. For the Czech Republic to join the euro zone must take certain steps. Furthermore, I evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of adopting the euro for the Czech Republic. And based on the data obtained will evaluate the performance of the convergence criteria for the Czech Republic.
Evaluation of preparedness of Czech Republic for reception of common currency

The thesis is aimed at the evaluation of preparedness of the Czech Republic for acceptance of the common currency. Preparedness according to the convergence criteria and the state of the real convergency is evaluated in the thesis. Within the convergence criteria a state of the public finance is discussed in detail and the necessity for undertaking reforms. The real convergency is rated in the thesis according to the value of the GDP per capita, flexibility of the labour market, competitiveness and openness of the economy. In the end the recent progress in the EU is discussed, mainly in the Euro-zone. An outlook of the impact of the current events on the future of the EU is proposed.
Evaluation of Abilitiy of the Czech Republic to Adopt the Common European Currency

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the ability of the Czech republic to join the euro area. It deals with the fulfilment of Maastricht convergence criteria and predition of their fulfilment in the near future. In this thesis an analysis of real convergence criteria is also included to indicate the alignment between economic levels of euro area and the Czech Repulic. One chapter is dedicated to the adaptation mechanisms that would help the Czech Republic when dealing with the external macroeconomic shocks. Finally, there is a short description of the whole process of adapting euro in the Czech Republic with the implementation of "Big Bang" scenario.
Possible impact of euro introduction on the Czech economy

The diploma thesis "Possible impact of euro introduction on the Czech economy". The first part of the thesis deal with common problems euro introduction in the Czech Republic. It attend to filling of the convergent criteria, nominal, real and others, then the choice of the scenario and schedule euro introduction. Main part of the thesis deal with the influence analysis of the single currency on the inflation, citizens, international trade and foreign direct investments. Second part focus on the way of the inflation measuring, factors which influence inflation or possible scenarios of the inflation development after euro introductoin, third part on the problems of the conversion coefficient and influences on the price relation and buing power a the fourth part on the expected effects of the euro introduction in international trade, concretely on the balance of goods and services, foreign direct investments and competitiveness. The last fifth part is focused on the future of the euro, how it sees significant world's economists.
Czech Republic and Euro

This bachelor thesis deals with the fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria in conditions of the Czech Republic. At the beginning of the thesis, the development of the monetary cooperation in Europe and the establishment of the Economic and Monetary Union are outlined. Then the Maastricht convergence criteria are described. The main part focuses on the evaluation of the nominal and real convergence in the Czech Republic. The conclusion deals with the technical aspects and impacts of accepting Euro in the Czech Republic.
The fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria by Greece

The main objective of this work is the fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria by Greece. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics, historical, political and economical development since World War II to the present. The second chapter shows and explains the Maastricht convergence criteria. The third chapter assesses the performance of Greece's convergence criteria before joining the EMU and fiscal performance during the membership in EMU. The first will focus on the implementation of the nominal convergence criteria in the 3rd stage of EMU, under which the Greeks as the only candidate country for membership were not admitted. The second objective pursued is the implementation of the fiscal criteria for membership in EMU from 2001 to present.
Analysis of the Czech Republic fiscal policy after the European Union accession

The aim of this thesis: The Analysis of the Czech Republic fiscal policy after the European Union accession are to describe and monitor development of Czech fiscal policy, remind context of economic and political cycle with fiscal policy in sequence of factual development and evaluate fiscal policy from the standpoint of the accession to EU and possible acceptance of the Euro, too. First part of paper is attended to basic terms delimitation of economic and fiscal policy. In subsequent parts is analyzed development of the most important fiscal policy indicators on the basis of acquired informations and evaluated fiscal policy from the perspective of its positioning. The last part is attended to consequence between Czech Republic and European Union, above all observance evaluation of Maastricht convergent criteria. Attention is aimed also at Stability and Growth Pact
The Czech Republic and the Euro Area

This graduation thesis is concerned with the Czech Republic's readiness for the entry to the euro area. Our Republic engaged to adopt shared euro currency already before the single admission to the European union, therefore it is not suitable to research, whether the Czech Republic should adopt euro or not, but when this step will be the most appropriate to render. The introductory part of the theses describes the history of the European monetary integration and the Stability and Growth Pact as an important instrument of the budget branch adherence. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the theory of optimal monetary areas, which is closely associated with monetary integration. Analytical section examines the rate of nominal and real approximation of Czech economy to the euro area's economies. I deal thoroughly with the fulfilment of convergence criteria and on the basis of GDP growth rate I analyse the real convergence. I solve the current influence of Greece's problems on the admission of euro in the Czech Republic and the Slovak macroeconomic experience with the entry to the euro area.
Economic and Monetary Union

The object of this essay is focused on the Economic and Monetary Union. The EMU was realised on the basis of Jacques Delors report during the nineties. This report supposed three stages to achieve the specific goals which would lead to the EMU. One of the most important task was the fulfilment of the nominal convergence criteria which allowed the permission to join the euro area. This conditions were and are necessary to smooth monetary union functioning. Nowadays is this theme very actual by reason that the Czech Repulic joined the European Union on 1st May 2004. By this joining the Czech Republic is participating the third stage of the EMU and the euro will be accepted in this country later

In the 3rd part are convergent criteria and in the 4th part is filling of the convergent criteria by CR. 5th part judge whole process of introduction single currrency including schedule and advantages and disadvantages or risk for receipt euro.
