The quality management system in selected company

The subject of the diploma thesis was the quality management system in selected company. It was Motor Jikov Fostron, a. s. České Budějovice. The aim of this thesis was not only to analyze the current situation, but also to propose recommendations for further improvement. Suggesting improvements for such a detailed sophisticated quality management system is very complicated. For this reason, the proposed recommendations are primarily concerned with all the new requirements of the standard ISO 9001 that the company is certified. The basis of the practical part of this work was initially the study of professional literature about quality. Then the interviews with the quality manager, observation and analysis of the documents of the company were done. All methods were chosen to write this thesis. The current quality system is worked out very well. The company employs highly qualified employees, enables them their further development and provides them modern technologies. The company knows that a sophisticated and stable quality system is a decisive factor in a contemporary competition. No major drawbacks were found in the quality system.
Business Process Improvement Proposal

There is analysis of current situation in the company and a process map. Based on the findings, process improvements are proposed, which allow elimination of waste and reduce cost of the process.

Modern Methods of Production Control

Diploma thesis "Modern methods of production control" is engaged in the activities of production companies in general and the application of different methods, both in the manufacturing process control as such and as secondary service production processes as well. In the first part of the thesis are described processes with a theoretical base for the manufacturing enterprise, including the stratification of production management from different perspectives and division of production itself. The second part of the thesis is focused on the practical use and application of selected methods and production control in the particular Czech company, which is operating in production of plastic products for automotive industry. Selected methods are described in terms of content, achieving the objective and advantages or disadvanteges, reulting from their application. Among methods you can find e.g. Just in Time, Poka-Yoke, Lean Production, ERP, 5S, Project management, Kanban, TPM, Theory of constraints, FMEA, OEE, Continuous Improvement Processes and others.
Application and use of Lean methodology in IT organization

Main goal of the work was to analyze the use of Lean methodology in IT organization with the focus on the implementation of the 4 dimensions: Processes, Performance management, Organizational structure and Corporate culture . First part of work was devoted to a summary of theoretical concepts and principles of Lean methodology. Specifics of the IT industry and IT organizations were introduced together with a description of the examined organization and the underlying implementation of the reviewed projects. The methodological part depict procedures and methods of research . The result of the work was a quantitative assessment of the implementation using best practice matrix and impelemntation matrix of chosen projects. Results of the examination were subsequently supplemented by recommendations and suggestions for further improvements of next potential projects . Main recommendations were formulated as following: change the corporate culture, implement more flexible project planning implementation using Agile DMAIC, focuse on customer needs by introducing new dimension Voice of the Customer and introduction of continuous improvement infrastructure to improve every aspect of company operations.
Management of Field Workers of a selected Firm

This master thesis is devoted to the elements and principles of management. The master thesis deals with the management of field workers of a selected company and subsequent optimization of this procedure. The main aim of master thesis is to optimize the selected decision problem. Based on the analysis of field workers activities is determined significant managerial decision problem. To solve this decision problem is compiled mathematical model and the individual alternative solutions are determined. Based on the individual steps of managerial decision the final recommendations of variant for solving this decision problem is made. The work is devided into two parts, theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part we acquaint ourselves with the problems with the help of scientific literature. The practical part deals with the use of the scientific literature in practice in order to optimize decision-making problem and management field workers of a selected company.
Transparency and disclosure in hospitals as a competitive advantage

Transparency and information disclosure are important elements in the building strong and confiding relationships between core stakeholders of the hospital, including patients, physicians and hospital management, and allow improving hospital performance on the market. Effects of transparent information environment existence in the medical institution can be wide but the most compelling and attractive are those, which are connected with motivation to improve and change of patients and physicians attitudes towards organisation. On the base of non-for-profit hospital in one of the regions in the Russian Federation, this study examined information flows between hospital, physicians and patients, and their perspectives towards transparency. In order to achieve aims of the research, surveys and interview were conducted in the hospital, according to which results inferences and recommendations were developed.
The reasons of a frequent failure in promoting kaizen to Czech employees

This diploma thesis deals with problems which often occur during implementation of kaizen philosophy into economic practice in Czech environment. Many Czech companies that adopted this philosophy do not reach such good results, compared to companies in Japan. Czech employee's do not accept it in good way. Thus the target of this thesis is to find out possible causes of this unfavourable situation. In theoetical parts, kaizen phiosophy and other related factors such as organizational culture are described. Furthermore, most frequent kaizen practice and its most important effects are described well as a brief history of it in Japan, USA, and Czech. Real implementations of kaizen in three companies in Czech Republic are analyzed in empirical part of this thesis. Most important points of this part are qualitative research (interviews with employees of these three companies) and quantitative research (questionares were filled by employees in one of these firms). The outputs of the thesis are general as well as specific suggestions for these three companies.
