Colour modification of Wartegg drawing completion test in children with hearing impairment
WERNEROVÁ, Tereza
This thesis examines the common features occuring in processing of the color modification of Wartegg's drawing test by hearing impaired children and children with multiple disabilities. Multiple disabilities mean in this case hearing impairement and mental disability occuring in one individual. At the beginning of the thesis there is a theoretical background of the problem. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains terms as projective drawing techniques, Wartegg's drawing test and hearing and mental disabilities. Twenty tests done by children with hearing impairement attending elementary school and practical elementary school were selected. In the empirical part a research question is formulated and is answered at the and of the work. Research results are first classified by age and then according to different criteria. The results show that hearing-impaired children draw the most often geometrical structures, vehicles, buildings, figures and their parts. Drawings are not integrated into a broader context. To name the pictures the children use short appellation corresponding to the drawn item.
The meaning of colors in marketing
Kváčová, Monika ; Zeman, Jiří (advisor) ; Fialová, Jitka (referee)
Colour is an integral part of products, services, packaging, logos, and other collateral and can be an effective means of creating and sustaining brand and corporate images in customers' minds. Through eleven countries -- eleven different cultures from South, North, Central and Eastern Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, the study explores subjects' preferences for different colours (indicating the favourite one) as well as various colour combinations. Moreover, it investigates the meaning associations with an assortment of nine colours -- white, yellow, orange, red, blue, green, purple, brown and black. The results show cross-cultural patterns of both similarity and dissimilarity in colour preferences and colour meaning associations. The search for a "universally attractive" colour and colour combination point out to the colour blue and the blue-white colour combination that replicates the "blue phenomenon". However, it is suggested that every single colour communicates very unique messages that need to be understood in the first place before using the colour for any kind of marketing communication. The circumstantial findings imply that age and globalisation influence significantly the investigated topic of colour meanings and preferences.

ZVĚŘINOVÁ, Iva
The Bachelor study entitled ?Psychology and symbolism of colours? addresses the symbolic significance of colours in life, in terms of development and particularly cultural differences. The theoretical part of the study provides evidence of the importance of colours in terms of the historical development of traditional cultures and their views on perception; individual chapters are devoted to the physiological and psychological effects of colours on the human organism. The final theoretical part of the study includes methods of using these findings, as currently used in psychology and diagnostics. The practical part analyses the importance of the application of colours in the interiors and gives examples of how to work with colours in the interiors of schools, means of transport, art and advertising.

Jeřábková, Kamila ; Krsek, Libor (advisor) ; Horný, Stanislav (referee)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a logo for the Board Game Club of the University of Economics. The methods used to accomplish the goal include an investigating on how to create a successful and working logo and a study of factors which affects it such as the role of symbolism, typography and colors. The work does not just summarize facts about a corporate identity and logo, but is also valuable in creating something that is practical and usable. The first five chapters are theoretical and the last one is practical in which I am applying the gained knowledge on our Board Game Club.
