Production of lock screw
Šlimar, Filip ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The project elaborated design of technology production of a screw for fastening of car wheels, made of material 11 320.3. A literary study of cold forming technology was conducted. The blank diameter of 15 mm was calculated. Several possible ways of production were considered and the most suitable option was chosen. The necessary calculations were made for this variant, in which the forming force of 1 313 kN was calculated, which was the main requirement for the selection of the TPZK 25 cold forming machine. Part of the work is a drawing of a tool assembly, ram and die.

Trnka, Filip ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Šlais, Miroslav (advisor)
This project is elaborated in the bachelor's degree field of engineering technology. The main objective of this work is the chosen technology for cold forming their valuation and illustrative examples of products manufactured as follows. There are presented examples of unconventional types of technologies and concludes with a brief overview of companies dealing with cold-forming, with examples of their products and their uses.
Production of the screw
Starý, Petr ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The bachelor´s degree project deals with the production of rotating component using cold forming technology. There are described basic principles of technology, used material, tools and machines and the area of usage. Production of the screw is based on the literary studies and technical calculations. The suggested manufacturing variant consists of five steps and containing cutting, extrusion and upsetting. As raw material was chosen a wire with diameter of 12,5 mm and length of 38,6 mm made of steel 12040. For chosen variant was made technological and strength calculations for the individual operations.
Numerical analysis of stabilizer clamp forming process
Zbořil, David ; Petruška, Jindřich (referee) ; Kubík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the simulation of the clamp forming process in order to better estimate the dimensions of the development and its effect on the resulting clamp geometry. In the first part of the thesis, a research is carried out that discusses the incremental theory of plasticity, which is important for understanding the material behaviour during forming. The next part is devoted to the cold forming problem and the factors affecting the forming process. This is followed by an introduction to the principles of the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the creation of a clamp forming simulation. The paper further analyses the partial problems encountered during the simulation and finally the simulation results obtained with an ideal and a real clamp are compared. This work contributes to a better understanding of the clamp forming process and allows more accurate estimates of the dimensions of the unwinding and the resulting clamp geometry.
Bulk forming technology of piston of disk brake
Kiza, Jakub ; Jopek, Miroslav (referee) ; Forejt, Milan (advisor)
The master’s thesis presents a proposal for the manufacturing technology of a disk brake piston made of material ČSN 41 2010 for a car brake caliper. Method of cold volume forming was chosen due to the production requirement of 200 000 parts per year, convenient axisymmetric shape of the part and required size tolerance. Based on study of chosen technology, production technique, which contains calibration and backward extrusion, was designed. Technological computations and optimalization of tool dimensions were done for the chosen production technique. The manufacturability of the part was verified by numerical simulation in Simufact Forming software. Because of unavailability of automatic cold forming machine designed for bigger sized parts on the market, the forming process is done by two forming tools with use of INWORK 700 hydraulic press. For the selected profit of 20 % the price for the part was set at 26,8 Kč. The turning point was determined as 52 745 pieces.
Production of a hollow pin by cold forming
Šanca, Kristián ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Jopek, Miroslav (advisor)
The hollow pin with a length of 45 mm and a diameter of 28 mm made of 12 050 steel is produced by cold cold forming. It showed defect-translation and the goal was to eliminate it by optimization. 10 variants were proposed, of which No. 10 was without defects and the goal of the work was met. The forming process was simulated by Simufact Forming software. The semi-finished product is a block made of a round bar 18 x 35.68. The part is manufactured on a process tool for 4 operations by a combination of upsetting and extrusion. The machine used is the CBF-204L automatic machine. The required force is 3 042 kN. The price of 1 piece is CZK 19.59. 120,000 pieces are produced annually.
Production of high pressure hydraulic filter housing
Podloucký, Lukáš ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis is focused on solving the problem of production of high-pressure hydraulic filter by cold extrusion technology. The initial semi-finished product is a C15R steel cap with a diameter of 104 mm and a height of 57.9 mm. The production series assumes a quantity of 30,000 pieces per year. The technologicality of the product evaluation was based on technical literature knowledge and professional experience. The technological process was chosen subsequently. This process counts with the extrusion in two operations with mid-operational recrystallization annealing and with the use of surface treatment by phosphating and soaping. An Eitel 1 250 press with a nominal forming force of 12 500 kN is designed for the production. The design of the forming tools takes into consideration the shape of the extrusion, technological principles and mathematically verified safety. The material of the die and punch is high-speed tool steel 19 830. The material of the ejector it is high-alloy tool steel 19 437. The technological process and force calculations are verified by simulation of the forming process created in the Simufact Forming program.

Verification of the properties crimp joint
Horák, Ondřej ; Hruška, Ondřej (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the description of mechanically unbreakable conections, called crimp connection. The most often used materials are copper, brass and bronze. The crimp connections are divided into joints with an open tube, closed tube and crimp isolation. The joint is formed by bending of the parties of the crimp, where a consequent plastic deformation results in a mechanically non-detachable joint. The post production control of the crimp consists of visual inspection, measure of the crimp height, supplementary tearing test and cutting the crimp. No visual defect in testing two types of crimp connections was detected. The measured crimp height corresponds to the values specified by the manufacturer. During the tear test, the desired values were not achieved by incorrectly attaching the wire to the clamping mechanism and no manufacturing defects were detected at the final check of the cut.
