Svoboda, Petr ; Jelínek, Jiří (advisor) ; Vanduchová, Marie (referee)
1 Limits of Legal Obligation of Attorney`s Confidentiality in Criminal Proceedings Abstract The legal obligation of attorney's confidentiality imposed by the law is currently not only mentioned in professional discussions. However, the increased attention paid to this institute does not support it. There is a growing belief that it is being misused for the benefit of an attorney or for concealing criminal and other delict activity, resulting in increased pressure from the state to violate confidentiality obligations. This manifests itself in systematic or individual attempts to break it, or it leads to refusal of protection of the confidential relationship between an attorney and his client, which is a prerequisite for providing legal assistance. The thesis describes in detail the meaning and purpose of the institute of attorney's duty of confidentiality and its position in the legal order. Its attention is focused especially on the area of the criminal law in which it is most threatened and therefore the application and protection of this institute in criminal proceedings is analyzed in detail. In order that the meaning of the above-mentioned provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure can be concisely clarified, this is done in the thesis primarily from the practical point of view. For this purpose, the...

Music information retrieval techniques for determining the place of origin of the Czech chamber and orchestral music interpretations
Miklánek, Štěpán ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Kiska, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the statistical analysis of chamber and orchestral classical music recordings composed by Czech authors. One of the chapters is dedicated to the description of a feature extraction process that precedes the statistical analysis. Techniques of Music Information Retrieval are used during several stages of this thesis. Databases used for analysis are described and pre-processing steps are proposed. A tool for synchronization of the recordings was implemented in MATLAB. Finally the system used for classification of recordings based on their geographical origin is proposed. The recordings are sorted by a binary classifier into two categories of Czech and world recordings. The first part of the statistical analysis is focused on individual analysis of features. The features are evaluated based on their discrimination strength. The second part of the statistical analysis is focused on feature selection, which can improve the overall accuracy of the binary classifier compared to the individual analysis of the features.

The first part of the thesis describes how the feudo-vassal tenures were treated in Czech and European historical studies, using impulses from the philosophy and sociology. The others chapters are dedicated to the main object of this analysis - to the Karlštejn vassal system - a group of small-sized estates connected to castle Karlštejn through feudo-vassal bonds. The second chapter of the thesis deals with the problem of historical consciousness, where the castle Karlštejn is imagined as the site of "the national memory", which strongly effected the interpretation of the Karlštejn vassal system. The third (main) part of the thesis presents the factual analysis of the Karlštejn vassal system from the last third of sixteenth century to the turn of the seventies and the eighties of the next century. At the end of the study the analysis of four chosen vassal estates is added. Key words: Karlštejn, historiography, vassals, feudal system, domain, chamber, lower nobility
Tomographic measurement of industrial parts at temperature below freezing point
Šárközi, Rudolf ; Oberta,, Peter (referee) ; Zikmund, Tomáš (advisor)
X-ray computed tomography presents and ultimate for non-destructive investigation of objects. Under normal circumstances is the object placed on stage and the temperature of the object is defined by ambient air. However there are also cases when observation at freezing or high temperatures is needed to reveal thermal stability of observed object. Naturally the size of used tomography equipment and the object just like form of cooling or heating are subjected to final design. This work provides a summary of used methods for temperature controlled tomography. Furthermore handles about design of cooling chamber capable to reach -40°C by preserving relative high X-ray transparency. As an addition that showed up as a response to additional requirements is here presented a heating chamber, in which the object can be maintained at 80°C . All test and scans were carried out on GE phoenix v|tome|x L240 industrial computed tomography scanner.
