Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after arthroscopic surgery of shoulder joint Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the issues relating to arthroscopic surgery of shoulder joint, its most frequent indications, possibilities of subsequent rehabilitation and to process the case study of the patient with this diagnosis in the special part. Methodology of thesis: The thesis is divided into two parts. I focus on anatomy, kinesiology, and basic principles of biomechanics of shoulder girdle in the first (general) part. Then I concentrate on theoretical findings from the field of pathology of shoulder joint, its arthroscopic solutions and eligible instruments of physiotherapeutic care. The second (special) part consists of the case study of the patient after arthroscopic surgery of shoulder joint including history, input kinesiology analysis, and description of all therapeutic units, output kinesiology analysis and assessment of the effect of the therapy. The work placement, on which is based the case study, took place in CLPA in Vysočany for the period of one month. Ambulatory therapies were three times a week from 9.1.2015 till 30.1.2015, which were indicated by the treating doctor because of the arthroscopy of the shoulder joint l. dx., which was performed 11. 12. 1014...

Jan Vocásek Thesis title: Analysis of the shoulder girdle injury and therapy of overhead athletes in Czech republic Cíl: The aim of the thesis was to create a literal research for the shoulder girdle injuries of overhead athletes, theoretically to write the anatomical and kinesiological characteristics of the shoulder girdle, to analyze the biomechanics, injury mechanisms in individual overhead sports, rehabilitation treatment and to find out how frequent the injuries of athletes in the Czech Republic follow-up treatment varies from abroad. Methods: For the purpose of this research was established a non-standardized questionnaire, based on literature studied and research questions, and then was distributed to 6 selected physicians dealing with this issue in the Czech Republic, who anonymously filled out questions regarding the shoulder joint injury based on their own clinical experiences. Results: Four of the six hypotheses were confirmed from the data obtained. The number of patients with shoulder girdle injuries in overhead sports in the Czech Republic has risen year- on-year and the most common injury is SLAP lesion. It has also been confirmed that the most common injury is caused by ball overhead sports and on the dominant upper limb. Key words: shoulder girdle, overhead sports,...

Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after Supraspinatus Tendon Rupture Surgery Aims: The main aim of the bachelor's thesis is to provide a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment for a patient after arthroscopic surgery of the right shoulder joint for rupture of the supraspinatus tendon and evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Methods: This bachelor's thesis was completed on the basis of continuous professional practice in MediCentrum Praha under the guidance of Mgr. Andrea Slukova. The practical part was taken there between 29.1. - 19.2.2021. An initial kinesiological analysis was prepared, a short-term and long-term plan was determined and a final kinesiological analysis was written to evaluate effect of the therapy. The patient completed nine therapeutic units over the period of three weeks, each lasting 30 minutes. Examination and therapeutic methods within the scope of bachelor's studies were applied in the case study. Results: The therapy which the patient undertook had a positive effect proven by the final kinesiological analysis confirming improvement of her health. The most significant changes were achieved within the range of motion in the shoulder joint into flexion and abduction followed by significant reduction in pain. Key words: case study,...

Physiotherapy procedures after arthroscopy of the hip joint
PRCHALOVÁ, Martina
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of physiotherapy after arthroscopic surgery of the hip joint. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I deal with the anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint, an independent chapter is about the arthroscopy and its history, the description of the arthroscopy of the hip joint, the main indication and contraindication to this surgical procedure. The theoretical part is supplemented by a subchapter on examination methods before the operation itself, and above all a description of physiotherapy procedures suitable for patients who have undergone this procedure. The practical part is created in the form of qualitative research, which contains processed case reports of three patients who were indicated for arthroscopy of the hip joint and this operation was performed in specialized workplaces. The research sample consisted of three men between 47 and 67 years. The first two probands were more than a week after the surgery and the case report includes an entry kinesiological examination, a rehabilitation plan proposal, the course of the therapy itself, and a kinesiological examination. In the third patient, I focus on the condition during hospitalization, ie the case report includes an entry kinesiological examination before the procedure, a proposal for a short-term rehabilitation plan and a course of therapy in the first days after arthroscopy of the hip joint. For patients, I also created a brochure with basic information and a suitable physiotherapeutic unit after surgery. The first aim of the work was to summarize the theoretical knowledge about the problems of arthroscopy of the hip joint and the second one, the main aim was to map the possibilities of physiotherapy after this surgery. This work can be used as educational material for medical staff, students of physiotherapy, but also for patients after a given surgical procedure, especially a specially designed brochure.
Arthroscopic surgery of shoulder from the nurse's and patient's perspective.
ČERNÁ, Nikol
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find problems of preoperative and postoperative care from the point of view of the patient. The author of the bachelor thesis set another goal to find out the peculiarities of nursing care before and after arthroscopy of the shoulder. Information gathered from patients and nurses are categorized and compared. According to the research we find out how patients perceive arthroscopic operation of the shoulder and the related hospitalization. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the history of surgical disciplines. It deals with the creation of orthopedics as a separate discipline, with the beginnings of anesthesia and with the need for a sterile environment in operating room. It describes anatomy of the shoulder joint, examination methods, indications and contraindications for arthroscopic operation of the shoulder joint. We focus on arthroscopy itself, describing the process of surgery and the types of arthroscopic procedures. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis is contained a research survey, which was realized for this work. We determine research questions for interview with patients and nurses in the department of orthopedic surgery. We use a pre-prepared semi-structured interview. Questions concern pre-operative preparation and post-operative nursing care in point of view of patient. The questions are focused also of patient awareness. We are looking for peculiarities of nursing care from the point of view of the general nurse. As an indication of the peculiarity of nursing care, the nurses have reviewed the sensitivity and momentum of the operating limb and the thorough hygiene of the operating field. Pre-operative preparation was found to be more positive in patients. And in post-operative care, it was found that there was too little active search to help patients. In the thesis, in connection with the realized research, has created an information brochure for patients, that contains results of the research survey.

Title Comparison between the effectiveness of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) and the surgical approach in the treatment of the rotator cuff tendinopathy. Objective The main goal of this research work is comparing the effectiveness of extracorporeal shock wave therapy and the surgical intervention (arthroscopic approach) in the treatment of calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy depending on the outcome measures of the Constant-Murley Score (CMS), and the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) from the recent scientific publications. Methodology This thesis is systemic (literature) review. The studies which recruited in this research were randomized controlled trials, prospective studies, and retrospective case series studies which written in English language form, and published between the year 2000 to the year 2018. The studies were retrieved from following databases: EMBASE, PubMed, CINAHL, Medline, SpringerLink, ProQuest using different integrations of the key words. The participants in the studies were from both genders and all ages. The type of the pathology which included in this research was chronic calcific rotator cuff tendinopathy. Regarding the intervention types both Radial, and Focused ESWT with low, medium, and high intensities and the arthroscopic interventions were the main types of...
