Skyscraper "EVO"
Kohoutová, Zuzana ; Kotek, Jakub (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the architectural design of Skyscraper "EVO" (experimental high-rise building) located in Brno. The building integrates various functions (residential, restaurant, shops, office space and gallery) at relatively small built-up area. The aim of the thesis is to create the design of a high-rise building with appropriate scale and which creates space for interconnection of different functions and will become new dominant of the city. The proposed building is located in the part of the city called Veveří. The building site is defined by Šumavská and Veveří streets. The building is designed as a single rectangular prism shaped volume. The entrances to the building are at the level of surrounding terrain. The building has 31 aboveground floors and 9 underground floors. The simple shape of building is structured by horizontal bands of consoles which create shields against excessive sun exposure and vertical atriums embedded in the main volume. These atriums connect interior and exterior. This atrium create connection between interior and exterior and ease the penetration of natural daylight inside the building. The dominant material used is glass, which is applied both in exterior and interior. The glass used on glazing of atrium sis colored transparent photovoltaic glass. Bands are in white color.

Interactive Example-based Stylization of Architectural Models
Hauptfleisch, Filip ; Sýkora, Daniel (advisor) ; Pelikán, Josef (referee)
One of the ways in which architects communicate their designs is through hand-made architectural sketches. Often it would be beneficial to have a sketch drawn from several angles, but producing many sketches is time- consuming for the architect. Another interesting visualization tool could be an interactive smooth rotation around a stylized scene, which would be impossible to do by hand. Style transfer is an area from non-photorealistic rendering. It tries to solve the problem of transferring a style from an image to another one. This work introduces the current state of style transfer and compares several methods of transferring an architectural sketch style from one view of a 3D scene to another view of the same scene. The StyLit algorithm is then expanded to run the style transfer for multiple viewpoints at the same time while maintaining spatially coherent results. Finally, a method to run an interactive smooth movement around the stylized scene is introduced. 1
Eco-friendly tourism complex Strachotín – urban and architectural study
Iatsenko, Ganna ; Borecká,, Eva (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
This thesis offers an urban solution for the landscape near the village of Strachotín. The work is based on the need for a plan to develop the selected landscape. The project looks for the most suitable way to arrange the premises and the buildings located there functionally and spatially. The work aims to provide a concept that works in the context of tourism development, economic potential and the natural conditions of the region. The object chosen for study is an eco-farm, which includes stables for horses, horse riding facilities, accommodation for guests and restaurants. For the architectural design we have chosen the horse stable. The proposal is based on the need to solve the whole territory comprehensively, taking into account wider municipal and landscape links. The task was to propose the optimal functional and spatial arrangement of the locality, especially the farm for agrotourism and to offer selected additional functions.Another important question is how to proceed when designing an organic farm in the Czech Republic and what specific points to focus on in the proposal. The aim of the work and the solution that it wants to achieve is to generalize the principles of designing a new modern organic farm using the principles of ecological and energy-efficient architecture, renewable energy sources and waste-free management. The work represents a new direction for the development of settlements within landscape urbanism. The aim of the thesis is to show that it is not necessary to use the latest technologies and radical architectural concepts to create a comfortable and “green” rural area or public space. The idea behind the creation of the complex was the integration of Czech regional flora into the rural area with its buildings, materials and the feelings of its inhabitants. Therefore, other questions arise - what is characteristic of the Czech countryside? What is the purpose of rural life? What is rural identity? The main features of the traditional Czech countryside are castles, churches, ponds, trees, hills, fields, and livestock. The design of the organic farm seeks to achieve a certain overlap in the concept of the identity of the village and the education of children through attractive spaces where people and nature interact. The proposed diverse space of the organic farm will complement the missing traditional elements in the village, such as the pond, meeting rooms, orchard and countryside trails. In this way, the farm allows a confrontation between housing conditions and the landscape. The area is in contrast with the village of Strachotín, but it is designed in such a way that the two spaces join together in harmony. At some point, the differences between nature and the community disappear. The horse farm offers riding lessons, historical sightseeing tours, horse riding summer camps, and a horse riding farm. The project has a capacity of 20 stalls for horses. The farm is also very suitable for show jumping, exhibitions, horse auctions, hobby races and other one-off events. Another attractive tourist area is the location on the bank of the Věstonice reservoir. It is planned not only as a beautiful space for walking or cycling, but also as an area for various public events, such as farmers' markets. Thanks to the proposed variability of spaces and attractions, the farm can serve all year round and people will spend more time in the rural environment.
Completion of a city block Urban development study of a city block between the streets Koliště, Cejl a Vlhká
Zatloukalová, Denisa ; Foretník, Jan (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the architectural design of two selected town houses in different positions. One is situated in the Koliště street, the other in the Vlhká street. The bachelor thesis is an example of two different approaches to the design of the town houses, the houses are connected by the courtyard and share the common parking. The design reacts to the noise from nearby streets and tries to show the possibility of creating quality housing in the center of Brno even under these unfavorable conditions. The concept of a classic town house is used for the whole building, the ground floor is commercial and the other floors are used for housing. Parking is provided by three-storey underground garages with a capacity of 254 parking spaces.
Adelheid horse-breeding
Dvořáková, Šárka ; Myslín,, Jiří (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor) ; Čupr, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis presents a solution of Adelheid stable situated in Vrchní Orlice, Czech Republic. Village Vrchní Orlice is situated in Bartošovice area in Orlic mountains. The aim of this work is to find a suitable architectural and urban design that would meet the requirements for horse breeding. The plot for the facility is located outside the inhabited area of the village but in a protected area of Orlické hory and the proposal must therefore respect rules and conditions set by this area. Shape and layout of the proposed construction was created in the second year of my studies as a part of the studio of farm buildings course. After the topic was selected for a complex project and bachelor thesis, it was necessary to make some changes in its layout, mass and material. The principle of the proposal was in separation of the designed construction into two parts. The first part was requested by the investor to be an indoor riding arena of size of 20x40m. The second part should allow housing of 10 horses with all necessary conveniences and sanitary facilities for visitors The most important requirement of the design was to create a functional unit considering the significant elevation differences of the terrain of the parcel where the project is planned while not disturbing too much the landscape.

Vaculovičová, Vanda ; Mutina, Petr (referee) ; Jura, Pavel (advisor)
Subject of bachelor project is urban and architectural design of adjustment and annex part of garden called Holland and Orange garden in close neighborhood of formal part of baroque Floral garden in Kromeriz (registered on UNESCO list of world heritage). New building is inspired by green walls in main part of Floral garden. There are visitors' centre, gallery, library and café inside. New building contrasts to entrance building "Cestny dvur" because of its form and used materials at the same time. Thanks to that it doesn't change character of the place dramatically, but tries to complete it suitably instead.
