The effectiveness of welding on furnace structures.
Rousová, Michaela ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is resolving all the possibilities of enhancing the efficiency of furnace structures welding. Small batch production does not offer many possibilities for implementing mechanization or automation. On the other hand, when using a big batch production, efficiency can be enhanced by means of a robotic workstation. When the production batch is big enough, we will see a costs save after a short time, mainly in labor costs. This means the return of investments will be in short time period. In the LAC company there are three types of products made. At laboratory furnaces the efficiency can be enhance by using fixtures. At other standard and atypical furnaces is very difficult to design fixtures or positioners because of their different sizes. Big complication can be also a company location on second floor. The most suitable product regarding to welding efficiency enhancement is big batch production of heaters. For this type the welding time can be shortened by means of a robotic workstation.
Robotic welding case of linear fluid motor
Střechovský, Jan ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
The work deals with the feasibility study of robotic welding of a linear actuator cover. The first part includes a literature review focusing on the specifications and impact of individual welding process components on the appearance and properties of the weld. Some basic calculations necessary for the proper progress of the experiment are also included. The experimental part of the work focuses on finding suitable welding parameters and subsequent evaluation of the welded samples in terms of resulting defects. The following section compares the efficiency of manual and robotic welding. The conclusion of the work summarizes the achieved results and the decision on the feasibility of robotic welding for the given joint.
Welding manipulator construction design
Fuks, Šimon ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a five-axis welding manipulator as an additional device to a welding table. The research focuses on knowledge from arc welding automation, especially on the use of industrial robots and manipulators in this area. A rich selection of accessories for robotic arc welding is also summarized. In the practical part, several conceptual variants are proposed, and the most suitable variant is further developed. The basic technical calculations of the manipulator are presented and the individual construction details are discussed. Furthermore, the work deals with the safety and control possibilities of the designed manipulator. The work also includes a drawing of the overall assembly.
Virtual commissioning of a robotic welding workplace
Hladík, Ondřej ; Szabari, Mikuláš (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and virtual commissioning of a robotic welding workplace for a given component. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on research in the field of virtual commissioning and industrial robotization. Furthermore, the basic knowledge in the field of arc welding is described. In the system analysis, the selection of the concept and composition of the robotic workstation is discussed. The selected variant is developed in the form of a 3D model of the individual components. The practical part describes the design of the model in the simulation environment Process Simulate, the creation of the PLC control program in the software TIA Portal and the creation of robotic programs in the software RobotStudio. Through these programs, virtual commissioning is performed.
Virtual commissioning of the robotized workplace for arc welding
Adolt, Lukáš ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of a robotic workplace for arc welding and its subsequent virtual commissioning. The summary deals with knowledge from industrial robotics and arc welding, the system analysis is focused on the composition of the workplace and the principle of arc welding, including acting influences. In the practical part, several variants of the solution are proposed, the most suitable variant is processed in the form of a 3D model. This model is then simulated, including all processes, a control program is created, and virtual commissioning of the workplace is demonstrated.
Welding parameters optimalization of robotic welding for car industry
Soprunenko, Valeriia ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Sigmund, Marian (advisor)
Thesis deals with individual technology of new welding processes "specifically FRONIUS TPSi". The greatest emphasis is on welding technology, especially on the differences between the individual methods. The experimental part of the thesis is focused on finding suitable parameters for welding filled welds.Everythingwith respect to required welds quality welded by robotic welding. The samples were evaluated in terms of penetration depth, amount of heat introduced and the number of defects.
Design of MIG/MAG Welding Machine
Zelenitca, Darina ; Tvarůžek, Martin (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the design of a MIG/MAG welding machine, suitable for locksmiths and workshops. The diploma thesis includes the analysis of existing products from the design and technical point of view and deals with the design of welding machine. The proposed concept focuses on interactive and modern look of the machine and comfortable manipulation and easy operation. The design itself offers a possible direction of morphology of welding machines in the future.
Comparison of the welding productivity MAG and FCAW
Kutil, Petr ; Sigmund, Marian (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on arc welding with MAG and FCAW methods. The first part contains a brief description of these technologies. Emphasis is laid on the principle of arc welding in active shielding gas and on additional materials, especially on solid and flux-cored tubular wires. The second, experimental part, centres on the comparison of MAG (135) and FCAW (136 and 138) methods in terms of the productivity, costs and, last but not least, the quality of fillet welds made in PF welding position. Based on the calculated and measured figures obtained from the experiment, the most suitable method for the given welding position was chosen.
Design of clamping device for tubular conductors
Schaffelhofer, Igor ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Tůma, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on design of clamping device, which is a part of welding positioners for welding of aluminum tube conductors in ABB company. In the theoretical part, there are individual requirements of clamping devices with examples of their applications. The practical part is focused on the design of individual parts that meet the requirements for tube conductors and the functionality of the clamping system for arc welding of alluminium alloys.
Study of properties of laser welds of Hardox 450 material using arc preheating
Debs, Martin ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Mrňa, Libor (advisor)
In this thesis is studied the influence of arc TIG preheating during laser welding of 2 mm Hardox 450 material sheets. This material achieves its good mechanical properties by processes of heat treatment. That causes problems during welding because of heat degradation. Experimental sheets were welded within various configurations of welding parameters and positions of TIG nozzle. Testing specimens were cut out by laser and were used for tension testing, Vickers hardness testing and metallographical testing (macro and microstructure). The results of using the second heat source are: wider heat affected zone, smoother transitions among its zones, reduction of toughness and hardness, finer grain structure and occurring ferritic microstructure. This hybrid technology, combination of laser welding and TIG preheating, is very productive creating joints with greatly good quality. The thesis also contains a comparison with common MAG welding method.
