Klimt, Marek ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and develop application as a support for small businesses in the field of hospitality. This study describes process of designing the application and analyzing business processes. Study also contains analysis of the market applications. Within the design the readers are informed about the issue of introducing electronic records of sales in the Czech Republic. The first part describes similar, existing applications. In according to an analysis of existing applications, there are written the basic requirements on the application which is designed in this study. Description and analysis of processes in small businesses operating in the hospitality industry follows. Based on the description of the business process are defined functional and nonfunctional requirements for application which are further related with application use case scenarios. Furthermore there is a description of application design using language UML. Part of the application design is to design classes, database and design of graphical user interface. There is a description of all the tools and technologies that are used for developing application for itself , so readers can see what are the mainly benefits of using the Java programming language, platform for developing graphical user interface JavaFX and the benefits of object-relational mapping hibernate which was used. The next part describes the testing of application by test scenarios. This part also includes a description of testing application by live operation. In the end of the study there is a user's manual. The manual includes the basic elements of control. Includes how to run the application and furthermore instructions how using it for the main purpose which it was designed for. The following is a description of other cases which may be utilized.
Augmented Reality and its use in Sales and Marketing
Jonášová, Barbora ; Smutný, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Jašek, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with augmented reality and its use in marketing and sales. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part a general overview of augmented reality is given in terms of its definition, development, principles and technologies used. Next, uses of augmented reality in various sectors are presented along with some of the problems that are associated with this technology. The practical part contains a design of an marketing application for a specific company that uses augmented reality.
Analysis and design of an application for calculations, offers and deals in destination event management
Oliva, Radek ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Dohnal, František (referee)
This thesis focuses on finding of a suitable solution which would provide a informatics support for business processes of Wedding in Prague Inc. which acts here as the client. In the beginning the work explains the concept of destination event management and introduces Wedding in Prague Inc. The aim is to analyze the processes that take place in the company and to find a suitable software solution that is available at the local or the world market. As there is no suitable solution at the market, the client decided to have designed the individual solution. The aim of the next part of the work is to thoroughly analyze the processes for which the client requires the informatics support, to create process models using the Unified Modeling Language and then design the individual solution. As next the object-oriented design is made. This contains the design of graphical user interface and the creation of the conceptual schema of the database that supports the application. In the end, the author suggests the development to be made in iterations for which he defines its content. The business process analysis as well as the individual solution design is made for the purposes of Wedding in Prague Inc.
The proposal of application development process for Linked Open Data
Budka, Michal ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the issue of Linked Open Data. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the reader to this issue as a whole and to the possibility of using Linked Open Data for developing useful applications by proposing a new development process focusing on such applications. The theoretical part offers an insight into the issue of Open Data, Linked Open Data and the NoSQL database systems and their usability in this field. It focuses mainly on graph database systems and compares them with relational database systems using predefined criteria. Additionally, the goal of this thesis is to develop an application using the proposed development process, which provides a tool for data presentation and statistical visualisation for open data sets published by the Supreme Audit Office and the Czech Trade Inspection. The application is mainly developed for the purpose of verifying the proposed development process and to demonstrate the connectivity of open data published by two different organizations. The thesis includes the process of selecting a development methodology, which is then used for optimising work on the implementation of the resulting application and the process of selecting a graph database system, that is used to store and modify open data for the purposes of the application.
Web application for making of graphical invitations
Snížek, Martin ; Sklenák, Vilém (advisor) ; Vojíř, Stanislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on applications development and particularly on web applications development. It describes the whole process of application development. In the thesis, there are some suggestions of specific matter that should not be underesti-mated, or forgotten during such development of web applications. The main objective of the thesis is to develop a web application, which will allow the user to create graphical invitations. In the analytical part, there is defined who the target audience is and who will be using this application. There is also a preliminary analysis, which shows the interest of the target group in this application. There also needs to be considered, if the product has enough of benefits for the target audience as opposed to existing possibilities. Based on available data, there it is obvious that this application can be very helpful for potential users. Firstly, in the practical part of the thesis, there are defined the requirements that must be accomplished by the application. Also there is stated how the application should work to fulfil these requirements. The next part is focused on designing and developing the application. There are also described partial problems that were solved during the development. At the end there is a user test, which unveils any defects or insufficiently solved problems, therefore they could be fixed prior to releasing the application.
Design of application supporting methodology Management by Competencies
Veselka, Jiří ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mittner, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to study manager methodology Management by Competencies and design application to support making of strategic decisions based on this methodology. Necessary and very important first part is description of the methodology itself; however, the focus of the thesis lies in the analysis of potential of its application support. On the basis of this assignment the work identifies requirements and describes application functions using use-case models. According to these models an application architecture, class and data design are suggested. This thesis contribution lies in approach towards creation of application which simplifies and streamlines implementation and use of the methodology.
Design and development of project management application
Burian, Vojtěch ; Kunstová, Renáta (advisor) ; Vonka, Martin (referee)
In these days, many activities of entities belonging to both public and private sector which require certain level of organization and cooperation are being carried out in the form of project. Despite of great effort of project workers, large part of these projects does not meet previously set basic project development criteria. Project success rate is however critical factor that plays a major role in company's overall competitive ability. Project management area is therefore gaining significantly more importance today. Complexity of this discipline makes it also ideal for placement of information technologies. At the same time new requirements which reflect a current trend in ICT development are being introduced though. Aim of this work is to design a concept and also develop a first functional version of project management software application within my placement in NetGenium inc., which focus on development of web applications and information systems. This work is based on requirements specified by company management and also other requirements specified by author himself. These requirements are formed on the basis of theoretical study and analysis of selected project management applications. Final application will be integrated into the current business information system "NET Genium ERP - enterprise resource planning" and named "NET Genium PM".
Designing a system for gaining and saving the knowledge from extensive text sources
Kružík, Martin ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
A study deals with methods and techniques of deriving and keeping knowledge from extensive text sources as is described in chosen publications. It also concerns about possibilities of using mentioned methods in designing software application, which partially automatizes its usage and facilitates the whole human cognitive process and respects its patterns and limitations of given solution. A study also brings an user interface mock-up of an application and in the end also its software engineering design consisting of graphical and lingual description of data base, presentation and logical layer. Contribution of a study is, of couse, a design itself, for system of deriving and keeping knowledge from extensive text sources of this type is not present in the market at all.
