Processing of Images of Petri Dishes
Adámek, Jakub ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with image processing of Petri dishes. The first part is about terms and procedures in laboratory practice. The following part is about devices and algorithms for image analysis of Petri dishes. The second part is about draft and implementation of own colony counting application, which was developed in cooperation with the microbiological laboratory. The application is developed for mobile devices running Android OS. The master thesis also includes the design and creation of two lighting units, which uses as an accessory for better results in the analysis of Petri dishes. In conclusion are presented results, compared lighting units and various types of mobile devices, on which the application was tested.
Image Segmentation Using Height Maps
Zahrádka, Jiří ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This bachelors thesis covers an issue of image processing with focus on image segmentation. It summarises and describes the segmentation methods, which using an image as height map. It also includes description of design and realization of program, which is used for Watershed segmentation.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Matějková, Jana ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The first part of this thesis deals with the surface runoff and countermeasures. This allows us to control the hydrological conditions in the basin. Methods of protection against soil surface runoff are mentioned. A separate chapter is focused on dry retention tanks. Aim of the second part of the thesis is to design specific measures in the village of Otaslavice to prevent external area water from flooding the village. This issue has been dealt with for the whole basin . The Guidelines for very small basin runoff calculation was used to evaluate the runoff there, hydro technical solution was assessed and designed using the HEC-RAS 4.1.0 and AutoCAD 2013.
Remote sensing as a forest management tool in Sub-Himalayan area in India
Kunwar, Haruhit
The Himalayan forests in India are home to very distinguished Himalayan flora and fauna, and the local population and livestock rely on forests because of the agrarian economy and pastoralism. The implementation of Remote Sensing and geotechnology tools in Forestry (precise forestry), has proved to support forest management. The sub-Himalayan area in India is one such region, that is largely forested and needs an application of Remote Sensing in Forest Management. This work has incorporated several geotechnology tools through which satellite imagery was processed and analyzed to have the outputs that will aid the foresters and forest managers with understanding the critical areas and implementing forest management plan with accuracy and precision, along with saving a lot of time.
Supporting processing of tomographic data for 3D Slicer
Dašek, Filip ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
Thesis summarize available softwares for visualization and segmentation of medical data. Main focus is on open source software 3D Slicer, where all main modules and functions for processing and segmentation of 3D images are described. The reader is also acquaint with posibility to create new modules and function in Python. In practical part of thesis new modul is created. Modul is focused on fast and effective segmentation of heart and their parts by using watershed method. Part of the module are tools for preprocessing of CT images and automatic post-processing. GUI was implemented and created with QT designer. Thesis containts testing and presenting segmented data. Segmentation by presented modul generaly achieves better results then options offered by 3D Slicer. In the last part of thesis is presented proposal for usage of supporting funtions for fast and efective segmentation of heart and his parts.
Mapping of water quality in Prague creeks with GIS
Thompsonová, Tereza ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Benešová, Libuše (referee)
This thesis is focused in using of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping water quality in Prague creeks. The theoretical section focuses in a description of GIS and selected GIS projects (SWAT, ZABAGED) including a description of using GIS abroad. Working processes of chemical analyzes required to determine water quality and pollution sources in the area of urbanized basin are explained in the task. The practical section is focused in processing of data, especially mapping of selected creeks and sampling profiles using GIS. Obtained data is processed in tables and charts and used in correlation analysis. A purpose of the project was to demonstrate a possibility of GIS for modelling basin and its parameters.
Image based road surface segmentation with lane detection
Turoň, Rudolf ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Zemčík, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with road semantic segmentation with lane lines detection. The aim of the thesis is to conduct a survey of methods used for general segmentation and lane lines detection, collect a representative dataset for testing, design a data processing system including implementation for semantic segmentation and detection of lanes in image, video and live camera input. In preprocessing phase images are filtered using morphological transformations. The segmentation is performed using the watershed method with labels, and an adaptive algorithm is designed to find the labels. The lanes are searched for in the thresholded projectively transformed image using the sliding window technique. As a result, a segmentation accuracy of 88.3% is achieved based on the IoU metric. The thesis concludes with a discussion of the obtained results and summarizes the possibilities for further improvements of the system.
Image segmentation of spinal disc in medical imaging
Meloun, Jan ; Nemček, Jakub (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the segmentation of the intervertebral disc in the image data. The introduction deals with the issue of the spine, the herniation of the intervertebraldisc. It also deals with imaging modalities, especially computed tomography and mag-netic resonance imaging. The practical part describes the image data segmentation andthe implementation of three of the published segmentation methods.
ANALYSIS OF ACCURACY OF STREAMS AND WATERSHED DIVIDES CONTAINED IN THE GEOGRAPHIC DATABASES OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Hnyková, Renata ; Jaroš, Jakub (advisor) ; Uhlířová, Kateřina (referee)
Analysis of Accuracy of Streams and Watershed Divides Contained in the Geographic Databases of the Czech Republic Abstract The aim of this work is to evaluate positional accuracy of stream lines and watersheds in geographical databases of the Czech Republic. Data are compared in several geomorphologically different areas and the influence of terrain topography on positional accuracy of lines is also studied. The teoretical part of this work describes methods of stream lines and watesheds delimitation and methods designed for comparision of positional accuracy of lines. Furthermore, methodology of work involving stream lines and watershed delimitation in DTM (digital terrain model) by ArcHydro Tools and comparision of these lines with the lines in available databases is described. The data used for construction of DTM were obtained by Airborne Laser Scanning. Key words: watershed, stream, position accuracy, DTM
