Design of coaxial high-speed gear reducer
Neklapil, Libor ; Ing. Tomáš Hubáček, Ph.D (referee) ; Bradáč, František (advisor)
The thesis deal with design of coaxial high-speed gear box for small-scale turboshaft engines. At the beginning a study of problems was performed and for design concept was elected version of single-shaft turbo-engine with electric generator. Kinematic diagram, type of gear design, material and lubrication method was designed. Further was solved proposal of basic gearing parameters, choice of the number of tooth and basic proposal calculations were performed. Was performed check calculation of gearing, calculation of bearings durability and was processed design documentation in required range. Designed gear reducer has two stage with three coutershafts, that are deployed evenly about main axis of reducer. First stage is gear with external gearing, second stage with internal gearing. The thesis may be used as a template for next similar gear reducers design.
Thermodynamics turboprop engines
Halama, Tadeáš ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This research deals with issues of turboprop engines from the perspective of thermodynamics. In introduction, the reader is familiar with history of aircrafts engines. Furthermore, this work presents a comparison of piston and turboprop engines. In this section also describes the working principle of these engines and their main characteristics and advantages. The main third part focused on the thermodynamics of the turboprop engine, mainly in terms of the algorithm for calculation. This work is also included deduce formula for tensile strength of turboprop engine. The last part describes current trends in the design and construction of aircraft propulsion units, together with the advantages of turboprop engine.
The history of civil aviation 1950-1970
Bednář, Ondřej ; Kaddour, Mirvat (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis creates an overwiev of the history od civil aviation from 1950 to 1970. After World War II civilian transport aircraft was not common. At the end of the above two decades has become an essential part of traveling on long distance. Attention is given to important events in the history of aviation from transitiv from turboprop to turbofan engine. The highlight of this period was the construction of transport aircraft capable of overcoming supersonic speed. This thesis describes the development of helicopter construction. Attention is also given to the large construction offices in Europe, Asia and North America. Part of the work dealth with a development of aviation in Czechoslovakia.
Thermodynamics of jet engines
Bártek, Petr ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This research introduces the reader to a brief analysis of various types of aircraft engines, with particular focus upon jet engines. Amongst the types of jet engines which will be covered are turboprop, turbojet, turbofan, ramjet, propfan, & the pulse engine. This body of work investigates the construction, operation and characteristics of these engines, including a analysis of their thermodynamic working cycle & the power of thrust produced. The main objective is to achieve a full comparison of the different kinds of engines using variables such as efficiency, fuel consumption and emission production.
